Cute cafe but it’s quite busy and packed most of the time.

Delicious coffee, sweet and delicious snacks, and a corner bakery with a wide view. It is a very popular shop in this area. Bread and croissants are especially popular. However, it is crowded indoors, and there is no service at all when there are many people. However, , it’s still worth a try.

Was in a while back and meant to post earlier. I will not be back. Cold, rude service, overheard inappropriate conversation between staff. I can only assume this trickles down from management or owner.Keep your money and go somewhere welcoming, lots of good options on Main Street.

I like this place, the food is good, the atmosphere is good, the only thing that is affecting me to give it a 4 star is the place is a little too small, otherwise everything else is perfect, highly recommended.

An absolutely lovely cafe. Recommend the cappuccino with coconut milk and the roast chicken sandwich on sourdough. Nice outdoor area as well, as it can get popular during busy hours!

Skip the Starbucks and check out Liberty instead! Liberty bakery + cafe is a small, but mighty, bakery + cafe! Nestled on the busy corner of Main and 21st, it can be easy to miss but do yourself a favour and check out this local hot spot. Beautiful lighting, decor, and peaceful vibes all around. They have a great assortment of beverage options, I’ve tried many and they always hit the mark. I’m especially impressed by their espresso-based drinks and their selection of non-dairy milks (4!! Including coconut!). I haven’t tried many of their baked goods, but they boast a host of fresh, sweet and savoury options. Shoutout jalapeño cheddar twist The service stands out here. Staff are always friendly, genuine, knowledgeable, understanding, and accommodating. I’m often helped out by Clay and Evan — superstars! Big thanks to the entire Liberty team, keep doing what you’re doing ☕️

This cafe has the best vibe. Been coming here for years. The staff are super friendly, the sandwiches and pastries are fantastic, and they make a great cappuccino. Atmosphere is funky and clean. Gets busy most days, but there’s tons of outdoor seating. Don’t skip out on Liberty!

Hope this (and other reviews raising the same concerns) help create a more hospitable front-facing team that’s as high-quality as the pastries. There are many places in Vancouver with competitively delicious croissants; to stand out, you need to meet quality food with hospitable service.Had a delicious butter croissant last Summer. Unfortunately, we experienced quite unwelcoming staff on two separate visits. When asked if the croissant could be warmed up, there was quite a long sigh and look of annoyance from the teller. Heating up the croissant seemed like quite an unwelcome request. When we asked for two cups of water on a second visit, to go with our food, we were met with a similar cold attitude by another teller.I don’t have a reason to return for a third visit; it’s off-putting when you support a local business, are met by unwelcoming staff throughout the purchase/transaction, decide to give the business a second chance, and then experience that same poor service again. Many people like feeling happy about the local businesses they support—I hope this one can learn how to encourage further support.

Incredible sandwiches. I keep coming back for the roast chicken and reuben sandwiches (pls brink back the Italian sandwich!!). Service is always friendly and kind too, love their staff. Reason I can't give it five stars is due to quality of the drinks (matcha is pretty terrible) and the fact that they've started using peanut products in the bakery. As someone with an allergy, this was one of the few bakeries I felt totally safe eating at. It's so hard to find places that don't use peanuts. I hope they don't make it a permanent change.

Stumbled upon this 'gem' as I was in need of caffeine. Came in and waited in line. Just one person ahead of me. I was busy on my phone and lost track of time then soon realized wait... it has been TEN minutes and the person in front is still ordering? Turns out she is having a full blown convo with the barista about what bread to have with dinner. Tf? They in chefs table or something?Just chatting away. I gave the barista one of those "hurry up" stare. The type your wife gives you when she wants to get the fuck outta your parent's dinner party. He just gave me a nod as if it's cool, you can join in our debate if garlic bread goes ok with a Malbec. Hurry the hell up!Nope they kept chatting. Now the line has queued with 4 people. We all staring wondering if these two will get a room and bread stuff each other. I stood in line for 5 more mins then left as the convo was nowhere close to ending. 15+ minute wait to order a coffee. If your cafe workers need excuse to not work, this is it.

Had a pain au chocolat to go and visited at around 3pm. It was very busy on the insane and almost every table was taken so I assumed the place is well known and good. The interior is cute and although it's a bit loud because of how crowded it is, I can imagine it would make a good study/work spot. There's also seating on the outside that would be lovely on a nice day. Service was quick and they were very friendly. They make totoro cookies which are adorable. Unfortunately, the pain au chocolat wasn't very good. It is rather cold and not very flavourful. One good thing is that it's nice and crumbly. The picture I put in is around the halfway point and there was no chocolate yet. There were 2 "chocolate chips" on the inside on opposite ends, which I assume is chocolate that has gone so cold it has solidified. I was very disappointed by this purchase.
