“A bit of a mixed experience for us, but will try them again for sure.- Raita: the best we have had in a long time- Tikka Masala chicken: sauce was amazing, most authentic we have had in Vancouver so far. Unfortunately they did not use tikka chicken, seemed just chicken breasts simmered in the sauce. Chicken was dry and not as flavourful as with tikka.- Saag paneer: tasty like real saag (and not spinach as some do), we enjoyed that it wasn’t mixed with a ton of cream- Butter chicken: not a usual item for us but they had a special price on it. Huge disappointment. Butter sauce was decent. But there was almost no chicken and the pieces were tiny 1-2cm and so so so dry.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“
“One of our favourite place for dinner. It is calm (easy to have a conversation), the service is straightforward, the food is good, great portions for a reasonable price. The wine is very reasonably priced compared to many restaurants (albeit with a limited selection), and the atmosphere / decor is very pleasant.“
“This is my favourite spot for a quick lunch! I have eaten here more times than I can count. The portions are great. The butter chicken is even better than some I have tried at restaurants. The butter chicken with naan is equal to two meals for me, so I am surprised to see others saying it was not filling enough. Try them out and see for yourself :)“
“Today, 31 Jan 2024 I went with my two of my friend at tandoori oven. The food was very tasty there. There was a lady who served the food who showed good customer service atmost respect and care for us. Upon asking she said her name was Khadijah. I liked her customer service. The food was tasty and the service was excellent. I would suggest others to try food inTandoori Oven and I would like to visit it again. Thanks.“
“One of my favourite places to eat lunch on campus. While they have curry, samosas, and some other premade dishes, I anyways go with a custom made sandwich. In my opinion they have the best sandwiches on campus even if they don't have the most creative ones.“
“We went for iftar here and it was fantastic. I recommend booking a table so you're guaranteed a spot. The food portions were big, everything was delicious, and the owner even comes out to ask if you liked the food. For iftar they gave us some fruits, dates, and a nice drink to break our fast. Could not recommend this restaurant more.“
“It was our first visit to this restaurant but not the last. We found this place by chance. We were starving and did not have a lot of time as we had to catch ferry. the staff person was very polite and understanding about it and our dinner was served super quick. Everything that we had ordered was delicious. My husband and I did not expect it to be this good. the staff person was very respectful. I ate good authentic Indian food after a long time. If you happen to be in North Vancouver and craving for Indian food, this is a place to go to. Nice family run restaurant. We will surely be there next time I am in North Van.“
“Very nice restaurant. The service was wonderful. The owner checked on my friend and me to make sure our experience was good and said next time we were in that we'd have to order his lamb chops since it was our first time there; he was great. The server was nice. The food was sublime. And the portions are huge! Enough for leftovers. I was impressed by the different flavours of lassi (strawberry, blueberry, rose, and mango). Menu had lots of dessert options. I will definitely be visiting again!Dietary restrictions: Food is halal and menu contains vegetarian options. Suitable for those on a gluten-free and dairy-free diet.“
