Umami Kitchen is located at 1370 E. Georgia St, a commissary kitchen with many other small businesses. We tried out Umami because there was a Fantuan discount. We went to pickup so no delivery charge. You need to call their phone number when outside for them to bring out your food. We ordered four takeout bentos, each bento came in two levels. My eel bento was nicely arranged and tasted delicious. The grass jelly milky drink was fresh and high quality. Good value with discount.

Saw them doing promotion on Fantuan so we decided to give it a try. I must say I never had food taste this bad before. Fried chicken and fried fish was overcooked and super dry. Mentaiko udon was undercooked. Portions are tiny. Usually I don't give bad reviews just because the food is bad but man, the price they charge (even after discount) along with their tiny portions makes me believe that they raised up the price then give discounts. Not so cool.
