Delicious hand rolls and ramen here! You know what you’ll get when you go to Zubu. I love their salmon & jalapeño handroll, and their chicken ramen.

My parents and I ordered 5 items but I have picture of only the first dish. That’s because they all looked so good so we dove right it and ate and forgot to take any picture. It was Easter Sunday. I took my parents around town to look at cherry blossoms. It was around lunch time when we drove through Kerrisdale on the way to UBC so we decided to stop and look for a restaurant. Zubu was the 3rd one we checked out. The menu looked good and we grabbed a bar height table by the window. We ordered:- chicken karaage (8-pc)- edamame- my parents each had a mini tonkotsu ramen- I had the poke bowlThe chicken karaage pieces were generous in size. The coating was light and crispy and the meat was juicy and tender. My parents were glad that there were mini size offerings for ramen which were perfect for them. My dad had a regular and my mom had a medium-spicy (2 on their 4-pt scale). She said it wasn’t spicy at all although she could eat raw chili peppers like snacks. My poke bowl was tipped with all the expected fixants which were fresh and flavourful. Portion was generous as well.It was a perfect Easter lunch for us.

I’ve been here quite often cause I grew up here. My experience was awesome from a trainee Annie & she was great compare to your existing staffs. She was friendly & so real. I’ll come back more often because of her.

Very overpriced, strange menu. Shocking mediocrity in every way. Ramen for those who don't believe in

We tried this place for the first time. We both had the chicken ramen, spicy. It came very quickly and was excellent. We will return to sample other offerings. Great beer on tap for happy hour. There are also cheaper food offerings.

The food was great, but the service was poor. They had a new person being trained I guess. We ordered their special set menu that includes desserts but looking at my bill the next day I noticed that they charge me an extra $11 dollar for them. When I called I was told that there was no manager in the store and they couldn't refund me and also that I would have to come in to the restaurant. I live 3 hours away so that's not happening. What terrible customer service.

Had a pretty disappointing time at this spot. The way they treated delivery folks was just not cool. They were straight-up rude, making them wait outside in the freezing cold. Not the vibe I was hoping for.

Sad. You’ve just lost a customer. The female server refused to let me sit there even if there were seats already available and put me behind the line of other people even if I was the one who arrived first, because my other friend hasn’t arrived yet, but how come I don’t deserve a seat if I’m just by myself? And I came cuz it’s my birthday today. I probably wouldn’t come back again.

My son and I just went to this ramen on W. 41st. My son went in the store trying to get a table for us while I was paying parking outside. The guy in the front ignored my son’s request for a table and just gave the table to two people line up behind my son. I asked him why he ignored my son when obviously my son was in line first and the guy replied to me that it did not make any difference. I asked him how long is the wait and he said 15 mins for the people he gave to the two people who are behind my son and 40 mins wait for us. And he said “it did not make any difference” Never coming back to this ramen again.

Good portion and taste very good! I had the chicken ramen and it was savory. The staff was attentive despite it being busy. The atmosphere was cozy and good to dine in groups or even alone. I will recommend it!

My friend and I had a great celebration at Zubu for Dine Out Vancouver, first time going and will be back again. Loved the unagi roll, karaage, & mochi dessert. Our server Yutaro was friendly, accommodating of our dietary needs, and very attentive. Would recommend for Dine Out or really any meal out.

i usually love zubu but i went with my friends for the dine out menu today and my experience was so bad.my friend and i got the dine out for two menu and we are both vegetarian. we ordered the vegetarian tamakis as labeled on the menu, and vegetable gyozas. the tamaki came with fish eggs on it which my friend had to give to our other friends who were with us.we looked past this until our gyozas came, we were told they were the vegetable ones as they were put in front of us, so we both ate two. we were going to split the last one, but i thought it looked a bit odd inside when i broke it apart, so we both refrained. it wasn’t until our meat-eating friends tried it and asked a different waitress if it was pork that we realized we had both unknowingly eaten pork gyozas as vegetarians. neither of us know what pork tastes like so we didn’t realize.the staff was unprepared to deal with this situation and asked if we wanted another order of gyozas which we declined, and then i had to ask if they could cover that bill and they said they could give us a 20% discount. both my friend and i have been feeling nauseous and throwing up after this and my bill still ended up being over $30. won’t be going back here which is a shame since i usually like the food.

I used to go to this spot when it was Jinya. Parking is so-so. Very busy area. Sometimes there's a wait, sometimes none. I always get the Tonkotsu Kuro with extra noodles/chasu/ broth. The bowl is always consistent. ( my category for a high review ) I've gone to Zubu no less than 10 times now and in different locations. I have nothing bad to say. Nice little place with a cozy setting. They can seat you close to others at times but meh. Try the Kuro - if you like the pork bone soup base.
