“Me and my family all loved the food it was absolutely delicious. The service was amazing, the best I've had in a very long time. We all say "The food was still really good, loved the gyoza!". Over all it is an amazing restaurant! We all suggest to order: gyoza, honey garlic Korean fried chicken, spring rolls, tempura prawns and yam, and edamame beans, they all are starters and we did share between four people. We do suggest and will go back. :)”

“Cheese Louise, finally a good pizza joint in V-Dot... it's 'bout GD thyme! This sweet new spot draws on local colours and ingredients, blended with tradition and class. The menu is as easy to digest as the dough, (which, by the way, ferments over 18 hrs and therefore does all the heavy lifting for your microbiome). It's called sourdough. You're welcome. The pizza oven is super legit and burns as hot as this review, cooking that beautiful creation in 90 smouldering seconds. Speaking of seconds, you'll want some, so be hungry. And be thirsty! Perfectly balanced cocktails are served up with a smile and a local twist on some traditional favourites. Want blueberries and pine needles in yer drank? You bet. I'll probably just start forwarding Masiero 10% of my pay 'cause I'll be back. Often. But don't worry, the prices are fair. Don't confuse cost with value, young Jedi. They will know my name, but I won't scribble my initials on the tables 'cause the decor is on point and the atmosphere is fire.”

For the main I chose the salmon which was delicious.
Each plate ordered at our table was impressive and enjoyed.

Our server, Adam was the most attentive and pleasant presence without being too much. He was extremely accommodating to our group throughout the entire evening. Thoroughly impressed with this gem. “We had an amazing stay at the Castle. All of the staff were so polite and friendly, and even offered our friend the Penthouse for his birthday! The room was massive (two beds, two bathrooms, full kitchen), and all of the amenities were top notch! The room was clean and comfortable, with massive amounts of space for the two of us. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the pool and hot tub for as long as we could. This is an excellent property and next time we're in the area, we will be staying here again!”

“We were seated quickly and drink orders taken. I had gluten aware alternatives for my Ahi tuna poke bowl. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the sushi was very good. Wasabi would have been nice. We were checked on and attended well by friendly helpful server.”

Buffet is currently $30/adult, Fridays and Saturdays only from 4:30-7:30. All you can eat with a food waste charge policy.

Was pleasantly surprised to see sesame balls at the buffet, and happy to find that the bean paste wasn't horrifically sweet. Sauce on the sweet and sour pork was a bit more gelatinous than my preference, but that might just have been from being under the hot hold and there was a pan of just sauce for the chicken balls etc. so no big deal. Decent fruit selection at the dessert bar and everything was fresh & separated instead of the kind of soggy fruit mix that all tastes vaguely of pineapple like some buffets. Otherwise everything was as expected, not too sweet, not too salty. Buffet was about 50% meat dishes and 25% each rice & noodle dishes.

... Tbh I'm sitting the car outside right now regretting not grabbing like 3 more sesame balls. I coulda fit them in. *wistful sigh*

Oh! I will say, the couple at the table next to me got the 3 item dinner combo, and the portion sizes were pretty big. So if you don't think you'll eat more than a plate or two at the buffet and know what you want, it might be a better deal to get the combo.”

This is the Poutine that pubs wish they served. I think the owner served us cause he seemed happy to be there. The inside is covered I. “Live laugh love” cheesy signs but it kind of works. “It is perhaps the most dangerous fast food place in all of Vernon due to its location. Police get summoned to remove violent patrons multiple times. Staff are VERY friendly here. I always see them go the extra mile to help people with mental and physical disabilities. Multiple staff members have a Vernon wide reputation for being friendly. I ate a burger here a couple weeks ago and they were busy as always. Only mild annoyance is they ask if you want to add cheese to your burger but don't indicate it's an extra charge. Overall it's fine to eat here for lunch. Lots of seating. It just has a tendency to get super busy at lunch time so not ideal for your 30 minute lunch break from work in the plaza.”

Fast forward we thought we would try again. Nice girls making our food. While she was waiting for our fries, she took my cash and handed me back my change. I said to husband she better change her gloves. NOPE!!! Continued with dirty gloves and spread our onions on fries and tomatoes. GROSS. I wanted to say something but he was embarrassed. Said leave a review on line. So here I am leaving a review. PLEASE review proper food handling with these workers. I totally support cash but not on my food. Cash is very dirty always has been.”

We had a special dietary request for no onion/garlic food, and the restaurant graciously accommodated it without any hesitation. The food was flavorful, aromatic, and authentic — truly capturing the essence of Indian cuisine despite the restrictions. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, and we didn’t feel like we were missing out on anything.

A special shoutout to Sakshi, our server, who went above and beyond in making us feel welcome. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and ensured we were well taken care of throughout the meal. Sakshi also engaged our 3-year-old son with such warmth and patience, which made the experience even more delightful for us as parents.
