“One of the most beautiful cafes anywhere...like being in a cozy cabin. The coffee always perfectly prepared, the pastries fresh, and brunch is awesome. A great place to relax and treat yourself...!”
“Great food and service! You can tell the O’Toro combo and Uni piece is fresh and delicious. Service is amazing, atmosphere is easy to talk. Extra points for really good sashimi - so far best in town!”
“We visited Tenton Ramen for lunch enroute to Horseshoe bay. It turned out to be a great decision. The black garlic (tonkotsu) Ramen was excellent. The noodles could have been a little more chewy but the broth was rich and flavorful and the chashu was the way it should be.
You are given the option to construct your own Ramen bowl, using various options that you can pick from the menu. This includes the thickness of your noodles, the type of protein as well as the broth.
We also ordered agedashi tofu, as well as a serving of chicken karaage. The tofu was as to be expected, however the karaage was simply excellent. The pieces were very crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside.
If I ever find myself in west Vancouver again, I would definitely swing by Tenton Ramen!”
“I've been coming to this restaurant for several years, and it's wonderful to see the business getting better and better. I believe that's closely related to the increasingly authentic and delicious food, as well as the warm and genuine service. Whether it's the lady manager or the friendly, handsome young man, their kindness and sincerity always come from the heart. Every visit is a pleasure.”

“This is probably the single most visited restaurant in West Van for me. In terms of food, it's authentic, comforting, and well-presented for the most part. Would definitely recommend trying their specialty rolls; they're unique, well-made, and worth the price. The price is friendly for the most part, although there are restaurants in West Van that serve a similar quality of food for a few dollars cheaper. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is great, as the restaurant is heavily Japanese-themed, with unique dining rooms, paintings, and curtains.”

“This dish is a showstopper! The lamb is so tender and infused with spices that make each bite unforgettable. A fantastic option for lamb lovers!”
“Lovely atmosphere, great staff, incredible food, and they'll put any game or show your request. Very luxurious old style pub venue too. 100% will visit again!”
“Wanted a Japanese restaurant near Ambleside so we could the beach after dinner & Google Maps gave us Kiisu.
GREAT option! We both had the Premium Dinner and loved it -
outstanding & good value. Starting with the tea & misu soup followed with three good sized pieces of mixed Sashimi (tuna & salmon) The dinner box was lovely. Really nice sushi & teriyaki (one ordered w/chicken one w/beef: chicken was better.)
Enjoyed everything but the kirigi chicken was a bit too much since it came with teriyaki chicken. Personally I would had preferred a couple vegetable gyoza instead. SMALL quibble.
Absolutely would order the same thing again here. Bill for two including tax & nice tip was under $70.
A few things to love about Kiisu West: (1) On entering greeted & suggested a table but told we could choose (2) Nice airy bright room with view to sushi chefs (3) brought menus and green tea right away (4) great menu with good illustrations & descriptions.”

“The location does half the seduction before any food shows up, a little backyard plaza tucked away so neatly you could forget you are in West Vancouver. The menu is short, and good, a burger joint has no business reading like a novel. There is a Persian current running through the operation, which in my book only sweetens the deal, and the koobideh wrap held its ground right alongside the burgers, so whatever cuisine these people have decided they are cooking, they are cooking it well. The special burger has flavours dialed in tight, juicy, good sized and fairly priced. The beef tongue sandwich was gone by the time I got there, sold out, which I have chosen to interpret not as a loss but as a summons. I will be back for it. A good, honest visit all around, and it is easy to see this place earning its crowd.”
“I’ve been coming to Ssal Korean Bistro for lunch for years and it’s honestly such a hidden gem in West Van for hearty, comforting Korean food. Their doenjang jjigae (soybean paste soup) is one of my absolute favorites — rich, flavorful, and made with really fresh ingredients.
The staff are always incredibly sweet and attentive, which makes the experience even better every time I visit. I also highly recommend the bossam (pork belly) and the soft tofu soup — both are delicious and consistently well made.
You can really tell they care about the quality of their food. Definitely one of my go-to Korean spots and a place I always recommend to friends.”

“These people are amazing. They had fantastic/empathetic customer service and had no issues making me new pizzas from scratch & delivering them asap when my original order got lost (via a 3rd party delivery service). The pizza was worth the wait ??. Thank you again. You are my new favourite!”

“We had a great experience at Cactus Club Cafe tonight.
The food was absolutely delicious and everything was excellent.
Zavien, was very professional, friendly, and attentive, and truly made our experience even better.
We really appreciated his outstanding service and kind attitude. We will definitely be coming back!”
“Had a cosy Tuesday dinner here and certainly a hidden gem in the neighbourhood.
The atmosphere was great, staff very helpful. We ordered Breaded Lemon Chicken 檸檬雞 and Dry pot Pork Intestine 干鍋肥腸. The lemon chicken was delicious and authentic, really appreciate using bread crumb for the deep-fry to make it more crunchy and less greasy. The dry pot pork intestine was simply lovely - crispy outside and soft inside. Seasoning was perfect. Shoutout to the veggies in the pot bringing balance of freshness and flavour. Both me and my girlfriend had never tried such crispiness to this dish in Hong Kong or elsewhere - this is the best one we had by far. We had two small bowls of rice as it would be a waste not to eat them with rice.”
“Very fast service, immaculate food presentation, a very chillz relaxed atmosphere, close to bus stop, as I’m holiday here from Sydney. The best dish I would recommend is La Vong rolls.”
“I visit often and love the menu. Breathtaking view and wonderful service as well. It was about a week ago that I was in last time and had our fav server Austin. He is a gem! So fun and still professional”
“Really delicious, solid sushi at reasonable prices. My wife and I make the drive from North Van often and the service is always really attentive, the ingredients are fresh and we never have to wait long. Highly recommend if you are looking for a new go-to sushi spot!”

“I was recently did take out with a friend submitted a review suggesting that he received food poisoning from the food..I ate the same food from the same containers that he ate from and had leftovers the next day with another friend and were fine. The food was delicious ,portions were generous and when they forgot to put all the containers in the bag to take away i called them to mention this and they offered to add prawn and crab rolls to compensate for there mistake..i would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant..”

“This was our first time here. We chose it because we had to have a meeting and this was a central location with some coming from the Sunshine Coast. I normally am not a fan of pizza, once a year is good enough for me. However, that has now changed. This pizza was so fresh and tasted amazing, especially the crust! I asked for light sauce and the amount was perfect. The owner was very accommodating, some wanted coffee which they don't serve, but he allowed us to pop down the block and grab one from Starbucks and bring it back to have with our meal. The regulars were super friendly and at lunchtime was pretty busy with a lot of workers coming in for lunch. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!”
“Stopped here on our way to Whistler and it was the perfect start to the day. The ham and cheese croissant was absolutely spectacular — buttery, flaky, and generous with the filling. Laura’s service made it even better; warm, friendly and genuinely welcoming. A hidden gem in Horseshoe Bay. Don’t drive past without stopping.”

“A great local spot right next to the Ferry Terminal. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was fresh and absolutely delicious. This is a cozy little spot and the owner and her mom who run it are so sweet. I’ll definitely come here again as supporting local spots in the community is so important. Looking forward to trying the fresh pressed juice next time!”
“This is truly one of my favorite coffee shops.
Everything about this place is wonderful—the coffee, the friendly staff, the beautiful interior, and the way it blends so perfectly with the surrounding scenery. It's the kind of place that gives you energy after a long, exhausting day, or prepares you for a busy one ahead.
Just walking here is a pleasure because it's located in such a beautiful area. The staff always greet you with warm smiles and genuine kindness, which makes me want to come back again and again.
Whether you sit inside or outside, the gentle aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the air. It reminds me to slow down, take a deep breath, and appreciate being alive.
The photos I'm sharing are from my visit last autumn, but my appreciation for this place hasn't changed at all.
This is more than just a coffee shop—it's a place that refreshes both my mind and my soul. Without a doubt, it's one of my all-time favorite coffee shops.”
“I’m usually not the type to leave reviews, but the crew working last night (around 10:57 PM!) deserves a massive shoutout. I placed an online order right before closing, and instead of the usual 'end-of-shift' grumpiness, I was met with total sunshine! ☀️
Loveleen greeted us at the door with the biggest smile and let us know they were out of tenders but had plenty of fresh chicken. She was so passionate and nice about it that I didn't even mind the swap. Then Kiran at the counter took over and was a total gem—she actually threw some extras into our bags just because!
Even the lads in the kitchen were keeping the vibes high—no banging dishes or 'angry' cooking sounds, just pure hustle and positivity. You guys genuinely made my night. It’s rare to see a team this happy and professional right at closing time. 10/10 vibes, I’ll definitely be back! 🍗🔥”
“My absolute go-to coffee shop in town. The staff are always super smiley, friendly, and happy to tailor your drink exactly how you want it.
As a tea person, this spot is hands-down my favourite for a proper London Fog—paired with a fresh ham & cheese croissant or one of their juicy, house-made loaves after a Saturday run along the seawall. Pure bliss.
Special shout-out to their double-shot flat white: it’s on another level compared to the big chains. You’ve honestly resurrected my faith that a tasty, perfectly-tempered (not mouth-burning!) coffee actually exists.”
“We enjoyed the experience, mainly because server Steve was fabulous. The service was very slow but otherwise good”
“I ordered the Mega Tray A and salmon sashimi. Two adults and three kids ate until we were completely full.
The reason I love this place is that the taste is always consistent and the ingredients are always fresh. I haven’t tried every sushi restaurant in Vancouver, but in West Vancouver, I think Mega Sushi is the best.
The food tastes truly high-quality and suits my palate perfectly. I’ve never had a disappointing experience here. Even if you don’t live nearby, I highly recommend stopping by for a meal when you’re on your way to catch the Horseshoe Bay ferry!”

“I had a wonderful experience at Cindy’s Restaurant in West Vancouver. The food presentation was amazing, and every dish looked beautiful and tasted delicious. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and professional. The owner is a very famous chef and is clearly very talented and passionate about cooking. You can feel the care and creativity in every dish. Highly recommended!”
“Higher end cafe -girl for counter service was a bit cold for what you would expect at this type of cafe - , the cappuccino was too bitter for my taste however to note I like a really mild espresso so I’m not the best judge - the blonde haired busser boy was hard working and the most friendly of the staff working . - overall atmosphere is beautiful with marble counters and glass display cases , high ceilings with attention to detail - there’s even pattern wall paper on the ceiling - exterior patio is gorgeous wrap around with plenty of seating - came on a Friday Afternoon and had one entire section to myself where I enjoyed the ocean views. The food and pastries sound and look phenomenal but I am on diet. I will 100% be back when I’m done the diet - likely for the avocado toast I saw. Overall nice time here by myself.”
“Great experience! I ordered the fries, and they were fresh, delicious, and the portion was incredibly generous. The customer service was excellent, and Ienisha (I hope I spelled your name correctly!) was so kind, friendly, and welcoming. Thank you for the great service، I’ll definitely be back!”
“Got there a coffee and a little snack while waiting for the fairy. It’s a lovely little coffeehouse with a great view in the bay. We could spot some seals swimming around while sipping coffee. Coffee was delicious and tasty, the staff was friendly. If you’re waiting for the fairy, go there!”
“The food is here amazing and so delicious! Genuinely. Best Chinese food in West Van and possibly North Van. The waiters are so nice! Really great spot. I will go many times more. Just look at the pictures…the food tastes even better in real life. Don’t forget, you have to preorder the chicken dish. So juicy and flavorful.”
“The most delightful food and people that you will find. This is an absolute treat and repeat!
It’s so nice to know that places like this are still around.. everything made fresh to order, authentic, and absolutely delicious.
The portions are big! A large will feed your family
The owner is a amazing guy”
“We stopped by to get some pizza and the atmosphere and food was great. The bread is made fresh everyday and made with fresh ingredients and no preservatives. Very little grease used as well keeping the pizza very light. It’s a great feeling when you aren’t sunken in your seat from greasy food after eating. Omid was also very passionate about the process of how the pizza and bread is made while explaining it to us. We also had one of the sandwiches and the boba was also great as well. Overall great experience and would 100% recommend and come again.”

“I like the Tim Horton chicken noodle soup, summer or winter. It's comforting! I'm not sure what is the TH guideline in serving this. I've been to many outlets. The one in Park Royal mall serves it best - the bread is toasted and warm in a bag, the butter is room temperature, the soup is hot! A lot of other outlets would give me cold bread with almost frozen butter!!! Yikes!!”
“Good day and well wishes for 2026 to the great folks at this location.
May I start by saying that I had the best egg&cheese muffin paired with an even amazing Americano ☕️ - kudos to the connoisseurs behind the scenes!
On a different note, I am saddened and slightly annoyed at some of the tone-deaf and negative reviews about this location. My work experience in the service and quality assurance industry has made me resilient to subjective behaviour, but this one takes the medal 🏅 The over-sheltered and pampered individuals who disliked the service, taste and temperature of their cafeteria food not being able to meet their inflated standards, could have easily communicated eloquently and asked for a little more to make their experience better - a simple smile, a different food item or correction to the order may have been more helpful; kindness will only come back as kindness.
Finally, the purpose of Google reviews is to help the public make educated and friendly choices and not to be subjected to an individual's frustrations. Peace ✌️ and Praise 🙏”
“We don’t live in West Vancouver, but my husband and I have been going to this location because we enjoy seeing Lovely Vishu and the delicious pizzas she makes. She is very pleasant and puts a lot of care in what she does. Thank you Vishu for making our experience special!”
“The shift leader May is kind and friendly. Actually I am new to Canada and didn’t know the menu at Dairy Queen but she explained every items to me patiently and I am sure she got another loyal customers as well! I will come back again for her friendly service. And the blizzard is delicious.”

“I have been a fan of Merchies coffee for many years. I thought they went out of business when the store I used to buy at disapeared. Then my son got me some Merchies for xmas a few years back I was so excited to find out there were still around! . I wish they would open a store in Chilliwack. I now order my coffee on line . I am in Heaven with my morning coffee now. Merchies Best ...is the best!”

“My first experience with this place was 2 bites and into the garbage. Flavourless sludge. I read all the latest reviews which said pretty much the same thing as experienced tonight. Staff yakking on the phone or talking to each other while they leave you waiting. The toppings on my tacos were a joke. They just threw it together without a clue. Maybe a cultural thing as they were not Latino and had no pride. Zero meat. This is the first time I have bothered to post a bad review about anything. I have been traveling Mexico for over 45 years and built 4 vacation rentals in a place called Yelapa down the coast from PV and this place is a blight on the landscape. I dug”

“Fellows that work at Park Royal/regular staff have the best skills in "Customer Service" Today was exceptionally busy and every customer was afforded the time to get their drink correct I appreciate their efforts every time I go there! I am soon to be Platinum Customer!”
“Best service I’ve ever received in my life the manager Rambo was so sweet and made my whole family feel so welcome. Our waitress Grace was so polite and on top of everything. Not to mention the INCREDIBLE food done to perfection by the chefs this was such an amazing experience and I can’t wait to come back”

“I’ve been through their drive thru at night multiple times after 12am with a couple of my friends. It was taking us a while to decide on our order, and I love that Noor was really patient and understanding about it. She was really sweet, remembered our orders the next few times we were there, and was smiling every time she saw us. Thank you so much for the great service, it made our night!”

“Insane $20 all you can eat fish and chips deal! Comes with bottomless drinks. Servers come around frequently to top up your fish and chips. You can choose to top up fries and chips separately so you never have too many fries for your chips. Ate 9 fish fillets and 2 cups of lemonade. Come here after a long day of hiking or the beach. Would come back to Vancouver from Toronto just for this deal. Don’t sit on the patio unless you want to share your meal with the crows.”
