“Great food and service! You can tell the O’Toro combo and Uni piece is fresh and delicious. Service is amazing, atmosphere is easy to talk. Extra points for really good sashimi - so far best in town!”
“This dish is a showstopper! The lamb is so tender and infused with spices that make each bite unforgettable. A fantastic option for lamb lovers!”
“me and my boyfriend loved our time here! it was quite busy when we arrived, so we had to wait around 10 minutes for a table, but it was so worth it. the servers were very sweet and polite to us, and the food was incredible. if you will be bothered by the noise of busy marine drive, request to be seated inside (it didnt bother us though!) ordered the pork and shrimp dumplings and the noodle bowl for two, which we couldnt finish! overall amazing experience.”
“I stumbled upon this place on Google Maps and was so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious. I went with the ramen combo featuring katsu, and I also tried the spicy miso ramen with chicken katsu. It was fantastic! The broth was incredibly tasty. The service was excellent. I’d definitely return. I was hoping for a bit more or thicker chasu pork, but overall, it was perfect.”

“Lovely atmosphere, great staff, incredible food, and they'll put any game or show your request. Very luxurious old style pub venue too. 100% will visit again!”
“This is probably the single most visited restaurant in West Van for me. In terms of food, it's authentic, comforting, and well-presented for the most part. Would definitely recommend trying their specialty rolls; they're unique, well-made, and worth the price. The price is friendly for the most part, although there are restaurants in West Van that serve a similar quality of food for a few dollars cheaper. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is great, as the restaurant is heavily Japanese-themed, with unique dining rooms, paintings, and curtains.”
“I visit often and love the menu. Breathtaking view and wonderful service as well. It was about a week ago that I was in last time and had our fav server Austin. He is a gem! So fun and still professional”
“A real gem in West Vancouver that serves, among other excellent italian dishes, the best pizza around. I loved both the Genovese and funghi mushroom pizzas. They serve very crispy, thin crust pizzas here, so if you like the very thick gooey crusts, this may not be the place for you.
The interior was very nice with a view of people strolling long marine, and the service was impeccable. They're open every day, starting at five p m and for lunch only on fridays starting at 1130.”

“The location does half the seduction before any food shows up, a little backyard plaza tucked away so neatly you could forget you are in West Vancouver. The menu is short, and good, a burger joint has no business reading like a novel. There is a Persian current running through the operation, which in my book only sweetens the deal, and the koobideh wrap held its ground right alongside the burgers, so whatever cuisine these people have decided they are cooking, they are cooking it well. The special burger has flavours dialed in tight, juicy, good sized and fairly priced. The beef tongue sandwich was gone by the time I got there, sold out, which I have chosen to interpret not as a loss but as a summons. I will be back for it. A good, honest visit all around, and it is easy to see this place earning its crowd.”
“I’ve been coming to Ssal Korean Bistro for lunch for years and it’s honestly such a hidden gem in West Van for hearty, comforting Korean food. Their doenjang jjigae (soybean paste soup) is one of my absolute favorites — rich, flavorful, and made with really fresh ingredients.
The staff are always incredibly sweet and attentive, which makes the experience even better every time I visit. I also highly recommend the bossam (pork belly) and the soft tofu soup — both are delicious and consistently well made.
You can really tell they care about the quality of their food. Definitely one of my go-to Korean spots and a place I always recommend to friends.”

“These people are amazing. They had fantastic/empathetic customer service and had no issues making me new pizzas from scratch & delivering them asap when my original order got lost (via a 3rd party delivery service). The pizza was worth the wait ??. Thank you again. You are my new favourite!”
“This is such a cool and unique spot in Vancouver. Staff were friendly. I got the cheese pizza and it’s by far the best I’ve had in Vancouver, so good that I even forgot to take a photo of it. Incredible views from this site also.”
“Very fast service, immaculate food presentation, a very chillz relaxed atmosphere, close to bus stop, as I’m holiday here from Sydney. The best dish I would recommend is La Vong rolls.”
“My spouse and I had breakfast at Cindy’s today, and it was absolutely amazing!
The food was extremely delicious and the vibe was incredible. The space has such a beautiful design and pleasant atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the ambiance.
I highly recommend Sindys Brunch to anyone looking for a high-quality breakfast in a wonderful setting!”

“We had a great experience at Cactus Club Cafe tonight.
The food was absolutely delicious and everything was excellent.
Zavien, was very professional, friendly, and attentive, and truly made our experience even better.
We really appreciated his outstanding service and kind attitude. We will definitely be coming back!”
“Had a cosy Tuesday dinner here and certainly a hidden gem in the neighbourhood.
The atmosphere was great, staff very helpful. We ordered Breaded Lemon Chicken 檸檬雞 and Dry pot Pork Intestine 干鍋肥腸. The lemon chicken was delicious and authentic, really appreciate using bread crumb for the deep-fry to make it more crunchy and less greasy. The dry pot pork intestine was simply lovely - crispy outside and soft inside. Seasoning was perfect. Shoutout to the veggies in the pot bringing balance of freshness and flavour. Both me and my girlfriend had never tried such crispiness to this dish in Hong Kong or elsewhere - this is the best one we had by far. We had two small bowls of rice as it would be a waste not to eat them with rice.”
“Good laugh from the bad reviews. But I got good service no drama with my small child. Small dining area, ideal take out spot. Good sushi. No brat allowed 🚫🙉”

“This was our first time here. We chose it because we had to have a meeting and this was a central location with some coming from the Sunshine Coast. I normally am not a fan of pizza, once a year is good enough for me. However, that has now changed. This pizza was so fresh and tasted amazing, especially the crust! I asked for light sauce and the amount was perfect. The owner was very accommodating, some wanted coffee which they don't serve, but he allowed us to pop down the block and grab one from Starbucks and bring it back to have with our meal. The regulars were super friendly and at lunchtime was pretty busy with a lot of workers coming in for lunch. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!”

“A great local spot right next to the Ferry Terminal. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and it was fresh and absolutely delicious. This is a cozy little spot and the owner and her mom who run it are so sweet. I’ll definitely come here again as supporting local spots in the community is so important. Looking forward to trying the fresh pressed juice next time!”
“My absolute go-to coffee shop in town. The staff are always super smiley, friendly, and happy to tailor your drink exactly how you want it.
As a tea person, this spot is hands-down my favourite for a proper London Fog—paired with a fresh ham & cheese croissant or one of their juicy, house-made loaves after a Saturday run along the seawall. Pure bliss.
Special shout-out to their double-shot flat white: it’s on another level compared to the big chains. You’ve honestly resurrected my faith that a tasty, perfectly-tempered (not mouth-burning!) coffee actually exists.”
“I ordered the Mega Tray A and salmon sashimi. Two adults and three kids ate until we were completely full.
The reason I love this place is that the taste is always consistent and the ingredients are always fresh. I haven’t tried every sushi restaurant in Vancouver, but in West Vancouver, I think Mega Sushi is the best.
The food tastes truly high-quality and suits my palate perfectly. I’ve never had a disappointing experience here. Even if you don’t live nearby, I highly recommend stopping by for a meal when you’re on your way to catch the Horseshoe Bay ferry!”
“The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Clean place , great food and fantastic staff and service”
“We enjoyed the experience, mainly because server Steve was fabulous. The service was very slow but otherwise good”

“Thierry is such an elegant café in Ambleside, West Vancouver! The interior is absolutely beautiful, with modern décor, gorgeous fresh flowers and a lovely, relaxing atmosphere.
The display of colourful macarons, cakes and pastries is incredible—everything looks like a little work of art! We enjoyed the beautiful Lemon Mousse Fruit Cake, the Chocolate Marquise—made with hazelnut dacquoise, salted caramel, crisp praline and chocolate mousse—and a perfectly made cappuccino. Everything was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious!
It’s the perfect place to enjoy a special dessert and cappuccino before or after a walk along Ambleside Beach. I highly recommend visiting and will definitely be returning! ☕️🍰🍋🫐✨”
“First time trying 5guys burgs:
So, 4 out of 5, for one reason only;
Nice people, nice place, great fries and gravy,
but;
why, when you have a beautiful, masterfully crafted 'dirty burg', as i call an above average burger, would you destroy it by putting that DISGUSTING PROCESSED IMITATION CHEESE(?) on it instead of cheddar, swiss, or mozzarella!?
It sure tore the life out of the two beautiful burgs i got. One's left over in the fridge- my dog will like it for breakfast.
Maybe tell corporate not to be so damn cheap, and put proper cheese on the menu.
I hate that cheap crap - it's not even cheese.
Sorry, it killed the experience for me, and i'm sorry but i won't be back until if and when that's amended.
You're sposed to be far and above mcdonalds burgers, but the processed cheese puts your burgers on the same level as a big mac (retch).”
“I had fantastic chicken and service at the west Vancouver Popeyes tonight. I really enjoyed my dinner. Thank you to the staff who got my order right and who gave me fresh fried chicken. This restaurant is a 1000 times better than KFC. The size of the chicken pieces are triple the size of what you would get at that other restaurant. So happy to see good quality fried chicken. I had the 4 piecel meal. I enjoyed 2 pieces in the restaurant and then have 2 pieces for tomorrow. Delicious 🤌”
“Nice place to take some delicious drink with pastries before travelling on the ferry. Our exciting anticipation of the trip added a special charm to this place. This is the starting point with goodies. I like the atmosphere, souvenirs and pictures of local painters. Cute figure of seals before entrance, children like it.”
“I am deeply conflicted writing this review because the food at Loong’s is an absolute S-tier culinary experience that I secretly want to keep to myself.
Run by a resilient father-and-son duo, this West Vancouver hidden gem started a year ago with handwritten cardboard menus and Home Depot chairs that still had price tags on them.
Revisiting a year later, the charming, no-frills setup remains exactly the same, but the dining room is now completely packed with guests.
The food quality is phenomenal, and watching this family successfully build their dream out of a scrappy beginning makes it an unforgettable, must-visit spot.”
“We stopped by to get some pizza and the atmosphere and food was great. The bread is made fresh everyday and made with fresh ingredients and no preservatives. Very little grease used as well keeping the pizza very light. It’s a great feeling when you aren’t sunken in your seat from greasy food after eating. Omid was also very passionate about the process of how the pizza and bread is made while explaining it to us. We also had one of the sandwiches and the boba was also great as well. Overall great experience and would 100% recommend and come again.”
“I like the Tim Horton chicken noodle soup, summer or winter. It's comforting! I'm not sure what is the TH guideline in serving this. I've been to many outlets. The one in Park Royal mall serves it best - the bread is toasted and warm in a bag, the butter is room temperature, the soup is hot! A lot of other outlets would give me cold bread with almost frozen butter!!! Yikes!!”
“The most delightful food and people that you will find. This is an absolute treat and repeat!
It’s so nice to know that places like this are still around.. everything made fresh to order, authentic, and absolutely delicious.
The portions are big! A large will feed your family
The owner is a amazing guy”

“My absolute favourite smoothie place of all time! Not only are they healthy and delicious but the entire family that owns it are such loving and sweet people! Always help me with suggestions and go the extra mile to provide information on supplements. I go everyday because of them❤”
“Good day and well wishes for 2026 to the great folks at this location.
May I start by saying that I had the best egg&cheese muffin paired with an even amazing Americano ☕️ - kudos to the connoisseurs behind the scenes!
On a different note, I am saddened and slightly annoyed at some of the tone-deaf and negative reviews about this location. My work experience in the service and quality assurance industry has made me resilient to subjective behaviour, but this one takes the medal 🏅 The over-sheltered and pampered individuals who disliked the service, taste and temperature of their cafeteria food not being able to meet their inflated standards, could have easily communicated eloquently and asked for a little more to make their experience better - a simple smile, a different food item or correction to the order may have been more helpful; kindness will only come back as kindness.
Finally, the purpose of Google reviews is to help the public make educated and friendly choices and not to be subjected to an individual's frustrations. Peace ✌️ and Praise 🙏”
“We don’t live in West Vancouver, but my husband and I have been going to this location because we enjoy seeing Lovely Vishu and the delicious pizzas she makes. She is very pleasant and puts a lot of care in what she does. Thank you Vishu for making our experience special!”
“Cute little spot on the water. It’s always quite loud in here though (just be prepared). It’s nice to sit outside across from the water, or grab a coffee to go. They have a great selection of food and pastries and the coffee is good.
Service is just okay, staff are never overly friendly.”
“The shift leader May is kind and friendly. Actually I am new to Canada and didn’t know the menu at Dairy Queen but she explained every items to me patiently and I am sure she got another loyal customers as well! I will come back again for her friendly service. And the blizzard is delicious.”

“I have been a fan of Merchies coffee for many years. I thought they went out of business when the store I used to buy at disapeared. Then my son got me some Merchies for xmas a few years back I was so excited to find out there were still around! . I wish they would open a store in Chilliwack. I now order my coffee on line . I am in Heaven with my morning coffee now. Merchies Best ...is the best!”
“Insane $20 all you can eat fish and chips deal! Comes with bottomless drinks. Servers come around frequently to top up your fish and chips. You can choose to top up fries and chips separately so you never have too many fries for your chips. Ate 9 fish fillets and 2 cups of lemonade. Come here after a long day of hiking or the beach. Would come back to Vancouver from Toronto just for this deal. Don’t sit on the patio unless you want to share your meal with the crows.”

“My first experience with this place was 2 bites and into the garbage. Flavourless sludge. I read all the latest reviews which said pretty much the same thing as experienced tonight. Staff yakking on the phone or talking to each other while they leave you waiting. The toppings on my tacos were a joke. They just threw it together without a clue. Maybe a cultural thing as they were not Latino and had no pride. Zero meat. This is the first time I have bothered to post a bad review about anything. I have been traveling Mexico for over 45 years and built 4 vacation rentals in a place called Yelapa down the coast from PV and this place is a blight on the landscape. I dug”

“Fellows that work at Park Royal/regular staff have the best skills in "Customer Service" Today was exceptionally busy and every customer was afforded the time to get their drink correct I appreciate their efforts every time I go there! I am soon to be Platinum Customer!”
“Best service I’ve ever received in my life the manager Rambo was so sweet and made my whole family feel so welcome. Our waitress Grace was so polite and on top of everything. Not to mention the INCREDIBLE food done to perfection by the chefs this was such an amazing experience and I can’t wait to come back”

“I’ve been through their drive thru at night multiple times after 12am with a couple of my friends. It was taking us a while to decide on our order, and I love that Noor was really patient and understanding about it. She was really sweet, remembered our orders the next few times we were there, and was smiling every time she saw us. Thank you so much for the great service, it made our night!”
