The good, steak cooked well, service excellent and friendly, good atmosphere. Unfortunately the bad, the family sharing our table left promptly, kids asleep, so then the chef decided to the clean the grill, hence it got a bit smokey while we hadn't finished eating, which really isn't on.Putting that to one side, would recommend and happily go back.

DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU HAVE ANY FOOD ALLERGIES!!! My first low score in google, and i will give -100 if i could. went there with my girlfriend in the last day of our vacation in whistler, the chief accidentally throw the wood stick on my plat and spilled the miso soup on my clothes, they apologized and gave the new soup and discount (i wont leave any comments if only for the matter) The thing pissed me off is that we told the chief and the waiter that my girlfriend is allergic to shellfish and they promised us to make the food behind. However my girlfriend still had the allergic reaction and we ended up in the whistler health care center for the night. It is really irresponsible and disrespectful to the customer as we do not have any problem with all other restaurants during our four days trip. If any employee see this comment , please let your kitchen staff know and adjust

This is an experience type venue that gave us a very poor experience. The chef cooks the food on a plancha. Seems like it should be fun, and so our children and adults alike were excited to see the concept. However the waitress could not care less. Didn’t greet us, didn’t want to explain the concept, no smiles, just didn’t care one jot about our group. Having spoken to the couple who were sat next to us, they had a similar experience. Some examples, but not exhaustive, are her first words being ‘are you ready to order’ having been sat down for 2 minutes. Nothing about drinks or would you like me to explain the menu etc. we had four children in the group. Absolutely no interaction with them. She was extremely abrupt, not personable and not friendly. We felt as though we were a problem to her. Then the food: 44 dollars for 8 very small unflavoured prawns. The miso soup was decent, the salad also nice. Except our waitress took mine half eaten away when I was chatting with my kids! The chicken was one breast served between 3 people at 40 dollars each. The steak, shared between 4 at 50 odd dollars each was one rump steak. The Signature dish with a few cubes of rump, a couple of scallops and a couple of prawns was 62 CAD! This place is a rip off.Further, I made my point known to the front desk, and they shrugged their shoulders. This place genuinely doesn’t care for you, they care only for your money. The only good thing was the chef. Put on a great show and the kids really enjoyed the fire. Other tables must have had a similar experience. Our group of 8 are in whistler for another 10 nights and we certainly will not be coming back or recommending this place to anyone. This is in stark contrast to somewhere like 21 Steps, which has excellent food and excellent service. As for Teppan, please don’t bother if you care for good service and good food. They really do not give a damn about the client. Avoid!

From the very beginning it was not a good experience. We had a reservation for 8 people at 5:30. The restaurant was mostly empty because it was still early. The waitress sat us so that two of us were off the back of the table while leaving two seats empty up front by the grill. When we asked if they could move over there we were told they were saving them in case a party of two came in which was wild since we were already 10 minutes past our reservation time at that point and we had already ordered. We then asked again and they reluctantly let us switch so we could all sit around the grill. Everything is entirely overpriced for the amount of food you get, like the fried rice which is $4 extra, not even cooked on the grill, and had zero flavor. Considering you are paying $50-$60 per plate, it would be nice to at least get a cloth napkin as well. We also noted that it was a birthday on the reservation and not until most of our party had gotten up to leave did a waitress come out with a plate with a single mochi on it. I had a much better experience at Mongolie Grill for half the price, twice the food, and a better show and wait staff!

Food was good but not great. They don't cook the fried rice in front of you and it was just ok. The sauces were ok but no yum yum sauce which was a disappointment. The ginger salad dressing was outstanding though. All in all a good meal, but not a favorite.

It’s a cool experience but expect to pay a pretty penny. Our chef was lovely. The best value item on the menu is The Village signature if you want variety.

Predictable experience and food We had fun and availability for a reservation in Whistler was a factor It is difficult getting reservations for dinner for any size party Book early

Superb experience all around. I hate to admit that I've been coming to Whistler for 20 years and never really given Teppan a thought... until my 8-yr-old suggested it. We both agreed we wish we would have discovered it sooner. The food was good (which, tbh, has become harder to find in Whistler the last few years) and the service was great. But let's be real, the show is where it's at. And Sasha delivered. Thank you for a delightful experience. We'll be back soon — maybe even on this trip!

A very different experience! The seating arrangements are not great for easy communication with friends/family because you are seated in a "U"shaped table which is where the food is cooked in front of you.

The atmosphere is good, our chef is professional and fun. But the food is ordinary, teppanyaki is good, but the fried rice that comes with teppanyaki is very sticky. Also don’t upgrade to fried rice, not only because it is sticky, it will also cost extra $4 and they didn’t inform you when asking you to choose rice or fried rice. Overall it’s good, a little bit pricy.

Fun hibachi experience for vacation or holiday. Food was good, but average for hibachi. It was weird that they don't do the fried rice along with the other food. Our entire table was confused that white rice was the default. Good but not vacation worthy

If you are looking for a traditional habachi experience...DONT GO! We were RUSHED in and out so fast it was more like a fast casual experience rather than an enjoyable habachi experience. They jammed us out of there in less than an hour. 49 minutes. Not worth your money or time with so many wonderful restaurants in WB
