New Restaurants in Dallas Worth Visiting
Dallas has always been a hub for great dining, and recently, the city has welcomed a fresh wave of restaurants that are quickly becoming local favorites. With a mix of bold flavors, creative concepts, and new takes on familiar dishes, these spots are adding even more excitement to the city’s already thriving food scene.
Catch
Catch, an upscale seafood restaurant, recently opened its eighth U.S. location in Dallas's Uptown Maple Terrace. The restaurant, founded by partners Tilman Fertitta, Mark Birnbaum, and Eugene Remm, specializes in refined seafood dishes and premium Wagyu beef. The menu features fresh sushi imported from Tokyo, including truffle sashimi and hamachi crudo, alongside signature dishes like Cantonese lobster, mushroom spaghetti, and a decadent lobster and caviar roll.

Boxcar
Boxcar is a new restaurant with a train theme, located in a former laundromat on Greenville Avenue. Owners Jordan Carson and Patrick Gorman have created an experience where wall screens mimic the inside of a train. Chef Eric Freidline’s menu features dishes like Wagyu pastrami French dip, cheddar corndogs with garlic aioli, a meat and cheese board, and butter croissant beignets for dessert. The cocktails follow the train theme, and all meals are served on fine china plates for a special touch.

Old Monk
Old Monk, a well-loved Irish pub with 25 years of history on Henderson Avenue, has opened a new location on Davis Street in Oak Cliff. The pub now occupies a former F45 fitness gym. Its menu includes smoked salmon sandwiches, mini whiskey cheddar bacon burgers, cheese boards, fish & chips, Guinness beef stew, and a variety of European and craft beers.

Scarlet Lounge & Kitchen
Scarlet Lounge & Kitchen has opened, taking over the space that was once Truth & Alibi. The restaurant serves a mix of Spanish and American dishes like Spanish risotto, portobello steak, and flank steak with chimichurri sauce until 10 pm. After that, it transitions into a nightclub. Owner Victor Garcia, a former bartender at Truth & Alibi, kept some features from the old speakeasy, including the elegant chandeliers.

Dirty Birds
Dirty Birds, a sports bar chain from San Diego, has opened its first Texas location in Plano at Lakeside Market. Their wings have 37 flavors, including apple bourbon chipotle, teriyaki, and habanero lime, available as bone-in or boneless. Other snacks include chicken tenders, fried pickles, and fried okra. The bar offers 16 beers on tap, including Dirty Birds IPA.
