“One of numerous macrobiotic-ish all vegan restaurants in the east bay serving similar menus. This one is delicious and filling. Menu changes slightly daily but basically consists of bean soup, collard greens w/ sauce, vegetables, beans, rice and green salad w/ dressing. Very tasty and enjoyable. Definitely would recommend. “I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and I finally got to visit here.
The momo dumplings are delicious!
The garlic Naan bread was so good as well.
Definitely will be returning for the mango Lassi drink for sure.
Great serive and the parking is not bad at all. I got lucky that day.

“I ordered delivery through GrubHub and it is fantastic! Their Thai fresh rolls come with an excellent peanut sauce that has a nice kick to it that enhances the flavor profile. They were awesome and substituted carrots for the eggplant in my green chicken curry which was fresh and flavorful.”

“Best espresso of any of the highwire locations I have been too. It is a darker roast than I like, but they have a great recipe so it doesn't get sour or bitter. My only complaint, not enough seats, then again it is in a plant store, not a standalone shop, which leads to some amusing scenarios with entitled people like the scene I saw. So don't wonder far from the stand even if there is a line.

An upper middle class woman took a drink, sipped from it AND THEN ASKED "is this the oat latte for Sarah?" They called out the name of the drink and the person who it was for, CAPPUCCINO FOR JOYCE. Who takes a sip from a drink and then ask if it is yours. They did not apologize, making excuses, and saying oops is not an apology. This after having taken a sip from it. I would have charged her for it if I worked in that stand.
But the baristas there are super nice and friendly, even answering my questions about their espresso ratio etc. would”

“Our first visit but absolutely not our last! What delicious flavors! Everyone loved their desserts, the toppings are incredible (vegan hot fudge, vegan caramel, toasted almonds,) and we all left full and happy! Definitely stop in when you’re in the neighborhood!”

“Eunice Gourmet Café is a hidden gem! The coffee was amazing. I tried The Ash sandwich and was completely blown away fresh ingredients, perfect flavors, and honestly one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I’m more than willing to drive the extra distance just to have it again!

The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. If you’re looking for amazing food and a warm, inviting atmosphere, don’t miss out on Eunice Gourmet Café. Highly recommend!!”

“Pizza here is amazing. I was out with a friend and were looking for a quick snack. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala pizza as well as a Hawaiian. Both were delicious. Nice crust not too thin nor thick. Definitely freshly made.
Costumer service was excellent. Fair price as well.
I will be returning or ordering take out.”

“Idk if there is food but the cocktails are stellar. The atmosphere is chill yet fun! A lot of places to sit too. It has an outdoor patio with a firepit as well aa a fireplace inside. I came the day after Christmas and loved seeing the Xmas decor. Definitely will return.”

“Hal’s is IMO the best cafe in Albany - all the baristas not only serve beautiful, delicious oat cappuccinos but they also create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes u want to stick around. If you’re lucky they’ll be brewing a fresh batch of chai and your nose will wonder if you’ve died and gone to heaven.”

They have a limited and pricey alcohol menu, but the servers know almost nothing about drinks.

If you find the right dish, and aren't looking for drinks, it is an ok place to eat. Servers are friendly.”

The crust on their pizza really sets them apart. It is a corn meal crust and gives a great crunch.

I recommend coming here for date night or as a casual catch-up with friends. They also have a wonderful lunch and happy hour menu.”

“I don't know how else to say this, and it might be a little confusing, but these burgers taste like the 90s! The food and atmosphere gave me so much nostalgia back to when everything was just simple and good. Reminded me of my childhood. You can taste the char from the grill and that signature mesquite charcoal. I don't even drink soda and I had to go back up and get a crispy ice cold coca cola to go with this food, it's just a timeless classic.”

“The food at this place is soooo much better than up the street at Korean Superette. If you’re looking for good food this is the one you want. The other places has a much cuter outdoor seating area but honestly the food is much worse that it’s almost not worth it.

“This place must have changed owners again. It was our go to spot for over 12 years, but then went downhill and was really bad for a while. Happy to report they are now better than ever! Best California style pizza in the Albany, El Cerrito, Kensington, North Berkelely, Richmond Annex area. Perfect thickness crust, with nice fluffy edges. Good zingy sauce with lots of flavor. Generous toppings, perfectly cooked. Arrived hot. Couldn’t be happier. Thanks you for reviving a neighborhood gem!”

“this soft serve truck is so cute and serves the best soft serve by far, with housemade chocolate sauce that hardens to a nice crunch on the ice cream. the addition of salt on it makes the perfect balance. the red truck has such a personality and the folks who work it are always so fun to chat with. and it's local! they even have a teeny tiny cone for kids and the seal is hand painted :) the line can get long, but I promise it's worth it!”

The 5 spice pork shoulder was massive but the veggie combination and dry fried Sichuan chicken were too small, particularly the dry fried chicken, because even though it was our favorite it seemed to have a disproportionate amount of dried chilies. It would have been a perfect 5 stars if the portion sizing was a bit more balanced and the drink prices weren’t so high”

Always have a variety of affordable Italian wines. I like the Sicilian Nero D'Avola reds when available. Our LOCAL Italian Albany Deli.”
