“my go to is the soups HANDS down and of course, I can't say no to desserts almost everything is good I like going with friends, so I can sample a little of everything. The Chef consistantly makes great food. And have way way more than 10 years experience. Food is spiritually great for u. You feel better after eating did I tell you every thing is organic? Thank you for supporting restaurants like this. Let's keep it going.”

“When searching for a quick, easy, and filling lunch during my break, I ended up here at this cute little Viet Bagel & Banh Mi shop called Tay Tah Cafe!
When you first enter, you’re guided by arrows that lead you to the ordering tablet, or you can order at the main counter. The shop is small, but has plenty of counter seating and some small tables available as well! In between the front door and ordering, there’s a selection of chips and snacks for you to browse as well.
I was initially looking to order Banh Mi but was a bit intimidated by the $17/banh mi price tag. I opted in for an open face Asiago Bagel with Lox for $13 and placed my order. Breakfast orders that are $10+ get a free house coffee as well, so of course I opted in for it!
There’s a bathroom just around the corner from the ordering kiosk, but while I was making my way over there, the kind staff let me know that they are actually sold out of lox. They offered me a refund or to change what I ordered. I decided to switch to the Asiago Bagel with Ham, Bacon, Egg, and Cheese since it was the same price as the Lox!
My coffee came out first, and the person who gave me my coffee also filled up my cup with ice when I asked! The coffee itself had a nice deep & bitter flavor which I look for in a house coffee.
The sandwich was STUFFED full. I’ve never had a bagel breakfast sandwhich where I’ve quite had to unhinge my jaw like this. My photos did not do the sandwich justice, but I promise it’s so much bigger than you’d expect!
The eggs were perfectly fluffy and smothered in cheese. The ham and bacon were cooked to my personal liking. If you like crispy bacon, maybe mention that to them, because it was perfectly chewy for me. The bagel, was soft, fluffy, yet so bouncy, and I LOVE that there are poppy seeds mixed into their Asiago bagel.
The cost to quantity ratio for the breakfast sandwich was 100% worth it. I’ll definitely be back when I need a hearty sandwich.”

“Wife and i snuck out of the house for an impromptu snack and we happened upon Yoni. Not really a roll person as I don’t like the compact feeling of my ingredients. Doesn’t really let the ingredients shine, especially delicate ingredients. But hey this $100 quarterly resy credit was expiring so why not. However at yoni Handrolls it’s different the rice isn’t smashed in with the ingredients. Not only can the ingredients shine but the rice pellet itself still retains that soft texture like in a nigiri. Excellent. Will try again.”

“Sushi bar runs by Chinese? Why not?
The origin of sushi has to trace the sushi’s roots back to China—and even further, to Southeast Asia. The earliest form of sushi, called narezushi, was a method of preserving fish by fermenting it with rice. This technique likely developed in the Mekong and Irrawaddy River basins and was adopted by the Baiyue people of southern China. The Han Chinese documented it as early as the 4th century BCE.
So yes, Chi ese gave sushi the practice beginning.
Twice we dined here, savoring sushi not from a Japanese bar, but from a Chinese family’s hands—gentle, precise, and quietly proud. The flavors whispered of history: from riverbanks in southern China to the bustling streets of Edo. Sushi, reborn and reimagined.”

“Roti with yellow curry $11
Great flavour, a disrespectful portion of yellow curry, a tablespoon or two worth... otherwise a great dish, just needs more curry! The
Chicken Pad Thai was solid for $16. Nice place to eat, will be back”

“Shocked and amazed by this awesome little coffee shop. I discovered my first highwire coffee in oakland. this one operates out of an old airstream trailer co-located with a plant nursery. Not a lot of outdoor seating, but the coffee is great, the pastries are fresh, and the service was reasonably friendly.”

“I love this bar,! it’s a classic dive bar with decor of top notch classic musicians hanging on walls. The atmosphere is comfortable and the bartenders are so attentive and know their stuff (drinks) what’s really cool is they introduce an eclectic stream of good live music groups. The owners are also top notch friendly classic woman who look amazing!”

“Very charming gem in Albany. Great first experience. The fusion pizza is delicious. The chicken was sooo good and the crust is soft and chewy if you're into that. Very cool vibe inside and I personally would love to this sort of place thrive in this world of corporate takeover and big business.”

“Wojia is my favorite hunanese restaurant in the Bay area. Will definitely be back again and again.
The food is spicy and has good wok hei.
Farmers bowl is my favorite with mushroom, jalapenos, pork and egg.
The dan dan noodles are nice but skimp a little on the pork. The sauce is delicious tho.
The Kung Pao chicken was a tad sweet but still yummy. No cornstarch coating. No deep frying.
The water chestnut, broccoli and lilly was nice to cut the spice.
The human lamb was soft. The meat is velveted but not coated with starch which I prefer. Same with the Kung Pao chicken.
They don't have a parking lot.”

“Stopped in on Christmas Eve and had amazing burgers, fried mushrooms, and some great shakes (the mocha was something else). While we wish the mushrooms had been been a larger order, the large fries were definitely large and worth it. It's a classic burger joint, sharing a parking lot with the tire center. When we were there, a flock of turkeys walked past. Friendly crew and we love supporting small businesses like this. We will definitely stop there again. Highly recommended.”

A truly amazing discovery of the hidden jewel of boring Solano..
I got their special wine, not from the menu, and it was mind blowing.
They have live music and entertainment on weekends!
Local regulars are amazingly friendly folks, and don’t forget to ask what is chef special on Thursdays. We will be back !”

“Hal’s is IMO the best cafe in Albany - all the baristas not only serve beautiful, delicious oat cappuccinos but they also create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes u want to stick around. If you’re lucky they’ll be brewing a fresh batch of chai and your nose will wonder if you’ve died and gone to heaven.”

“this soft serve truck is so cute and serves the best soft serve by far, with housemade chocolate sauce that hardens to a nice crunch on the ice cream. the addition of salt on it makes the perfect balance. the red truck has such a personality and the folks who work it are always so fun to chat with. and it's local! they even have a teeny tiny cone for kids and the seal is hand painted :) the line can get long, but I promise it's worth it!”

“Drunken noodles were amazing. Curry chicken was ok. Fried rice was ok. Slightly pricey (almost $3 for a small bowl of white rice). Soup was not very good.
They have a limited and pricey alcohol menu, but the servers know almost nothing about drinks.
If you find the right dish, and aren't looking for drinks, it is an ok place to eat. Servers are friendly.”

“The espresso was good and the pastry was decent for late morning arrival.
The coffee shop is small and all tables full. I did not have to wait to order but noticed the person behind me did wait to order during the prep of my coffee. I grabbed a stool at the window as I waited for my order and was pretty disappointed when my seat was taken by someone else when I went to get my coffee. Fortunately, there was a free stool. I did notice that this person who took my initial seat never ordered during my 5-10 minute visit just using free WiFi.”
