“We always enjoy getting Mountain Slice whether it's for the pizza, the ice cream, or both! Make sure to call early in the day to place an order for dinner as they get very busy and sell out. Today we ordered the tie dye pizza. I am allergic to tomatoes, so I ordered it without the vodka sauce and extra pesto. Had a little miscommunication on my end about the sauce, so when we picked it up it had a tomato sauce base. We explained what we had thought we ordered and the two guys working quickly made a fresh pie. Very thankful that they were so accommodating. The pizza was delicious with pesto as the base sauce! The dough is the star of the show. We've enjoyed both the regular style and the Detroit style pizzas here. Would love if they started doing some pizzas with other base sauces! Love that they are starting to do late nights with more arcade games, late night pizza, and beer. I think that's super fun and will draw in a cool crowd. Great option since nowhere else is open late. Go get the best pizza on the West Shore!“

“We came at the very busy time, and the server Alex was working completely alone, but he provided such a great service-fast, friendly, and very professional. Food and coffee were great. Definitely a gem place in a Tahoe style.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free“

“Great spot for a casual beer just outside of town! Greg, the owner, did a great job of making this place feel like an extension of your own living room but with better beer! Fun place to get a group together and the live music is always enjoyable!“

“This place has a special place in my heart. Their sandwiches are delicious, the coffee is always good, the pastries are so good and fresh, and I am greeted with kindness every time i come in. I've been coming here since I can remember being able to talk and I have never had a bad experience. I also love that there are plenty of seating options in the cozy dining room. 10/10“

“I work in Olympic Valley and have eaten here many times. I love it! I get a pepperoni pizza with pineapple. Yes I think pineapple goes on pizza. It's delicious. We also order from them quite often for our Sunday group lunches for our staff.“

“This place is amazing. A little difficult to find and the building is not where you would expect to see a coffee shop. We were too late for brekkie so we got sandwiches. Also, got the London Fog which is a heavenly drink. Sandwiches were Club and BLAT. Both were fantastic. The Club was a bit tangy for me with the chipotle. The sourdough bread for both was incredible. I grabbed a to go of Bacon and Cheddar biscuit and coffee cake. Really one of my favorite places I have been to in long time. The people were all great.“

“Ended up at Poppy's after a late lunch bc it was the only place still open after 3pm that offered coffee. My husband wanted a pick-me-up and of course, the kids all wanted ice cream. What a great way to get everyone's cravings satisfied all in one location. The ambiance: you walk up to a window to order (there was only 1 girl working) and then wait in their cutesy courtyard until your items are made. There was plenty of seating along with fun lawn games to entertain the kids while we waited. As far the the products themselves - neither the coffee or the ice cream was anything spectacular, but the prices made up for it. As a family of 6, we're always looking for ways to get more for our buck and Poppy's didn't disappoint in that sense. The best part was that it was just across the street from the lake and a beautiful scenic walk. We'll keep this place in mind the next time we're in the area.“

“Was disappointed, went there for the szechuan menu that it cited on its website and it was completely different food that I unfortunately am not a fan of. Ordered the wings which were sadly pretty flavorless. The pretzel was nice but they charge you $3 for a tablespoon of butter. The service was quick and friendly which was appreciated.“

“My favorite place in Tahoe City. Very good pizza, surprisingly great tacos, and good beer/soda selection. For fellow Tahoe Rim Trail hikers...this is only 300 feet off the trail!!!! Great ambiance sitting outside and my dogs like to play in Truckee river.“

“Absolutely buzzing. Love the river ranch. The people, the ambience, and the menu are all top notch. Burger or nachos for price efficiency (burg is quality bacon and nachos are the largest in region) or go big with a phenomenally cooked New York. The beating pulse of alpine meadows. And the original lodge built in this region on the railroad tracks, well before any development or resort.“

“Me and my classmates came here and they were promt to create a table for our large group. They were pretty quick. Fortunately most of my class mates really liked itMy sandwich was messy but good I enjoyed it besides the very crisp bread that made the sandwich a bit hard to eat but it was mad tasty anyways“

“A great place to go with friends after a long weekend of skiing or snowboarding and working the Winter Wondergrass Tahoe festival. The fried pickles and cheese curds were great! The fish tacos were also fantastic, according to my friends. I also tried the Irish stew and the Bangers & Mash, which were nice portions. And the Hot Toddy with turmeric and ginger really hit the spot!“

“The inside is totally cool. When we got there, they were busy. They had one dude at the front and woman behind the bar. Turned out she was bartending and serving. She was slammed but totally kicked ass. The buffalo mac balls were hella good and not too spicy. My son had the fig and brie grilled cheese. I had whiskey burger. Daughter had Salmon BLT. Everything was great. Service on point.“

“came for drinks to warm us up in the cold winter Tahoe. we were seated promptly outside at a firepit table. I love the firepit because it keeps you nice and toasty outside but it is a bit of a nuisance being in the middle of the table. makes it difficult if you're sharing plateswe ordered just some chips and salsa and some drinks to go with. I had the mexican coffee and I'm warning you right now - she is STRONGGGG. that tequila really permeates and the warmth both from the drink and the alcohol had me even forgetting i was outsidemy companions bought the fish bowl gnar-garita and split it between 3 people. probably would be easier with 4 but if you're 3 people looking for a good time, get that fish bowl!!!“
“Great selection of products!“
“Few things to keep in mind is that this place is not super visible when trying to find it near the waterfront so look for the BBQ restaurant and it'll be inside. However, you can sit outside and enjoy your drinks with a view! Service is decent and you can tell this place gets pretty busy especially during a football game day. Love that the outside is dog friendly and appreciate the turf grass and dog bowls. I can't rate this place by the food because we didn't eat here but I will say it smelled good. Parking is free but I believe 3 hour limit.“
