“My friend and I visited the Bonchon Korean Chicken branch in Brentwood, located on Lone Tree Way. This particular place offers a wonderful atmosphere and serves delicious food. We ordered the Bulgogi marinated beef, which was sautéed with mushrooms, scallions, sesame seeds, and onions. Served with white rice, this dish was an absolute delight. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the beef was tender and flavorful. It was a satisfying and filling choice. We also tried their famous Korean fried chicken. We opted for the combo of chicken wings and drumsticks and decided to go for the half & half option. This allowed us to enjoy both the Soy Garlic and Spicy flavors. The chicken was cooked just right, with a crispy and flavorful coating. The Soy Garlic flavor had a nice combination of sweetness and savory notes, while the Spicy flavor provided a delightful kick of heat. It was a great choice to experience the best of both worlds. The chicken was juicy, tender, and the flavors were absolutely mouthwatering. The chicken comes with a side of pickled radish, which adds a refreshing and tangy element to the meal, complementing the flavors of the Korean fried chicken perfectly. It serves as a delicious accompaniment. Throughout our stay at Bonchon in Brentwood, Mari was incredibly friendly and attentive. She provided exceptional service and made us feel welcome. She even went the extra mile to recommend and order Korean Donuts for us. The Korean Donuts were a delightful surprise, with a soft and fluffy interior and a delicious cinnamon and sugar coating. “Went to Kabuki Sushi for the first time which is surprising since I've lived down the street for nearly a decade. We ordered gyoza, tempura mix appetizer, a katsudon for me, beef udon for The Small, and a bento box (not pictured) for The Tall.The appetizers came in the cutest boat serving dishes. My dish also came with a miso soup which arrived before the appetizers so I went back and forth between them. A little sad the tempura only had one of each vegetable but the batter was perfect so the food was delicious. The gyoza was also perfectly crispy on the outside and delicious on the inside. My katsudon seemed at first to be lacking enough katsu but after eating a bit, it definitely was super filling. I wasn't able to finish all the rice and half a katsu strip. The sauce on it was good and they included and extra sauce dish to be able to dip my katsu in. The katsu was yummy, nice and crunchy. The vegetables were a delicious addition to the dish. Overall, the prices weren't bad and was pretty affordable for Japanese food. I'd definitely make this a regular spot for our Japanese fix.
