Good local spot for dim sum. There's a variety of dishes to choose from. All the dishes we ordered were delicious but I would recommend the House Special Rice Roll and Crispy Cream Yam Ball. The only downside is they don't have the dim sum carts that go around. Some of the dumpling items cooled down and stuck to each other or to the parchment paper in the tin containers it came in. Also, the teapot spilled tea out onto the table as we poured it. It can get a little messy. Service was quick and there's always staff walking around so you can easily flag someone. The driveway is narrow and there's a parking lot in the back.

Very nice place. Came to this place at the recommendation of a friend and glad I did. Food- Came here for dimsum takeout because we generally do not have very good authentic dimsum out way. Have ventured around all of Los Angeles and it's generally decent but need to travel farther East for really good dimsum and China Red's certainly lived up to expectations. Had to drive it home to Sherman Oaks and it all traveled surprisingly well! Venue- very nice place. Everything was clean and a tad more on the luxurious side. Prices- maybe a tad higher than expected for coming so Far East but still not as high as Places my way. Overall I didn't feel like it was unreasonable. Parking - large lot but seemed mostly full. Didn't take me long to find a parking spot. Would I come back? Yes but would love to experience dine-in here

Good dim sum! Of course like any most other authentic Chinese restaurants, service is efficient but non-existent. You will have to speak up in order to get what you need because they are extremely busy on a Saturday. But in general, in these type of places food quality matters more and this place delivers. For shrimp dumplings, the skin is very thin and there are plenty shrimp filling inside. Siu Mai was also good with plenty meat, a lot bigger than some of the other dim sum places I've been.

Solid dim sum here. I ordered through Postmates which had a limited menu so I couldn't order some items like egg tarts. Other than that would recommend!

Couple of friends recommended this place because of its quality and variety of foods. I would say it's above average in comparison to other dim sum places, but nothing to write home about. The desserts would be the high light of the foods. I would rather goto lunasia for the price though.

the best steamed white radish cakes in San Gabriel ballet but attitude and tone of voice were the worst if I spoke English The opposite of the servers of main stream chain restaurants. Therefore I decided to go from now on I will not sit down and let them spoil my appetite. Enough said. Hope you speak their language

China red has the best dim sum in Arcadia ! Their dim sum portions are huge compared to the others and we usually don't have to wait long to get our food!

This was a 5-star dim sum eatery. They are high in price but the quality was always exceptional.During my latest visit, something changed. The lobako was flavorless, the Had Gow insipid and their once wonderful sticky rice was dull. I don't know what happened but they should fix it as soon as possible.

Place definitely fell off, quality of food dropped significantly. How you gonna give me a xlb with no meat juice? Go to Din tai fung, order less, and have a better meal

The House special sizzling fish in black bean sauce tasted great however, it was mostly parts of the fish I would throw away after filleting it; such as the tail and fins. It also seemed expensive ($23) for not getting a decent cut of fish. The steamed shrimp dumplings were a little dry but tasted good. The service was lacking as well.

Overall the dim sum experience was pretty descent at best. This is my second time here, first time being about five years ago where the wait was looonnggg! So this time time I arrived here, with a party of three, 7 minutes after opening which was 9:30am on a Sunday. Upon entering I noticed four other parties already seated. At China Red, you don't see the traditional cart pushing, where each cart would walk by each table telling you what they got, instead you get a paper and pencil to mark what you want. After we submitted out paper, the food came pretty fast, too fast! The food came out pretty cool or luke warm, like it was sitting out.We ordered 12 dishes, I don't remember them all but what stood out (still not warm-ish) was the Siu Mai, Har Gow & Steamed Pork Ribs. Har Gow and Siu Mai was big, pretty good flavor. Steam Pork Ribs was plentiful and good flavor too.Noticeably Underwhelming (to include not being warm) dishes were chicken feet, (my all time favorite dish) Shrimp Cheung Fun & leek dumpling. All of them were pretty bland. The chicken feet was not soft and the flavor wasn't there.Overall, the biggest thing was the food wasn't warm which making the taste not so appetizing. Service was amazing, they would come buy and take our empty dishes, refill our tea pot, asking how we were doing etc.

Dim sum is authentic and good size portions. I love the fact that you order from the order sheet instead of having the dim sum carts. This way you get what you want, and it is all made fresh. The har how were huge. All the items we ordered were good, except for the xiao lung baos. That was a fail. The bottoms of all of them were stuck to the paper liner in the tray, and when trying to remove a xiao lung bao, it broke with all the liquid spilling out and the bottom still attached to the paper liner. Other than that, our dim sum meal was a success. Prices are on par with other local dim sum restaurants.
