Ordered lunch special chicken with vegetable which is 12.99 on menu. Waitress input fish filet with vegetable in the system, which is 13.99. We asked them to change the dish when the fish ones bringing to the table. 20 mins later it's changed to chicken. Chicken was hot and veggies was cold. It seems like they only switched the protein potion and used the same veggie served 20 mins ago before. That's fine. I was hungry. By the time we pay for the bill, I asked them to rebill as fish dish is 1 dollar more expensive than chicken one based on menu. Waitress with glasses said it doesn't matter as fish and chicken is the same price in the system. I asked so price on the menu is wrong ? She silent. I don't think the price is wrong just the waitress is lazy to adjust the bill tho. At the end I paid the fish fillet price. Not a very pleasant experience and how can the price on menu is not accurate ?

This place offers traditional dim sum dishes during lunch. The interior is spacious. We ordered a variety of dishes (ha-gow, su-mai, tofu skin wrapped veggie rolls, porridge, etc) and for me the pig pig bun with the yam filling stood out the most. The filling was warm and sweet but not too sweet. The shape and color also looked like purple yams! You can expect good quality traditional dim sum dishes here. Service could have been better.

This is a three star restaurant in that you don't want it to get more famous because the lines and wait would be even longer. Been here and took to go 4 times now and would have to say--shrimp is big, skin is fresh, and food is consistently good. Constantly in motion, the staff try their best to fulfill your order but I think for some reason har gow is their Achilles heel--meaning that you would be lucky if your order comes first or within 30 minutes. It's a highly in demand product and you've got to be patient upon ordering. Be forewarned.

o1.o1.23First meal of 2023. Happy 2023 everyone!First off, I didn't even know it was rated C until we arrived. Lol My friend found this place for a more kid friendly setting compared to shabu shabu for our new year's gathering. I believe they were seated immediately because we arrived a bit later than the meet up time and there was no line at the door when we got there. There were also still a few open tables. I didn't take much photos but the food was decent. However, the service needs improvement. They keep missing our orders and it was not easy to wave down a staff. When we did, we had to tell them multiple times on the missing items. They did bring it after all and sometimes, doubled it. Hahaha I can tell they were very low staffed so that could be the reason.

I used to come here a lot with my family but the restaurant has turned very subpar. The food is overly oily yet bland at the same time. They blatantly cheat you on seafood quantity- they overcharge by 2-3 pounds per item and overcook everything. Normally, places overcharge by about 0.5-1 pound which is somewhat acceptable depending on who you ask. I understand they need to make money but at least be reasonable... I know all Chinese restaurants get slack about poor service, but this place is next level, especially the manager (Ah Wah) who was trying to pin the blame on someone else and became argumentative and defensive.

Waiters are very attentive and friendly. The food we ordered are delicious and need not wait for long time. Have been patronizing them quite regularly

Tong Tak House is a traditional Cantonese seafood and dim sum restaurant with distinctly purple chairs in a spacious dining room. It offered a simple menu of classic steamed, baked, and fried dim sum dishes, and I started with the Shrimp Dumplings, but the rice flour skin was soggy and broke apart immediately. The Steamed Sticky Rice with Abalone was made with sticky rice and chicken wrapped in a lotus leaf package and steamed, but the dish had only a tiny amount of the coveted abalone. The Cantonese Sponge Cake (malagao) was sweet, dense, yet light at the same time; the filling of the Steamed BBQ Pork Bun was on the fatty side; and the Cold Jellyfish was marinated in chili oil and made for a crunchy, refreshing appetizer. But my two favorite dishes were the Purple Yam Bun, which contained a purple yam filling and was shaped/colored to look like a sweet potato on the outside; and the Salted Egg Yolk Bun, which were three round, black buns with a salted egg yolk lava filling. Overall, the dim sum here was decent for what it was, though the quality of some of the dishes were only average.

Would give it 0 stars if possible. The food was room temperature. Nothing was served hot. Everything tastes average. When you let the staff know about the cold food that was just served by them they will argue with you and give you attitude. They even roll their eyes at you. Never coming back again.

Very solid and reliable dim sum. Never overly crowded and staff is nice and efficient. Overall, most of the food was on the less salty side - which is a good thing. - Egg tarts were delicious - especially if eaten fresh; crunchy and thick pastry layer - Pineapple Bun w/ Egg Yolk - absolutely delicious; a must-have - Pork Siu Mai - a very classic siu mai; big and plump and juicy; very good - Pineapple Bun - not bad, but it continues the recent trend of sticking a piece of actual pineapple inside; yes, it's called a "pineapple" bun but traditionally, there should not be any pineapple inside at all! (personal preference, obviously; you'll really like it if you're a fan of pineapple). - Dried Scallop Egg White Fried Rice - this dish came out very bland; there was no flavor. The restaurant overall is on the less salty side, which is much better than everything being over-salted, but this fried rice had no flavor; I have gotten it in the past though so I'll chalk this one up as a fluke experience - Daikon Radish XO Sauce - very delicious dish, especially when it first comes out because there is a slight crunch to the outside texture - Pan-Fried Pork Buns - different than the popular Shanghainese ones; this one is flatter, but it's nicely crisped on the top and bottom, and quite good

This was my first time trying dimsum here with the family on a Sunday morning, we came around 11a and there was plenty of seating. The restaurant is super clean and big -- you dont have to deal with the noise from other restaurants I've been to. Parking isn't too bad.. Food was great, a little on the pricey side, servers are nice and the service is super quick.

First time here! I'd recommend this place for dim sum, they're also good for dinner too. Ample parking, next to burlington as well. Great service especially if you speak cantonese. They'll troll you if you have a legit ABC accent though, just for funnies. Great sense of humor from the waiters. The bathroom is extremely clean. This restaurant has China vibes, even the locks on the bathroom is super China like. You'll think you got locked in, just twist it a million times to the right and you'll be fine. The food was pretty good, some dim sum I'd recommend. The dessert is a bit on the sweeter side, Chinese sponge cake was sweeter than usual. Avoid if you don't like extra sweet sponge cake. The fried rice is decent. Duck, taste like any decent restaurant's duck. Dim sum line is 4/5, Hai gaw, chicken feet, tripe, pretty good to me. Decent price and good service.

The food here is sooooooo good! I love the creative combination of the dishes! The roasted pork is so crunchy yet still soft and juicy!!!!! It is a must try! The beef mushroom has slight sweetish flavor but combined with little green pepper which adds the pungent flavor into the sweet, makes it a perfect balance of the flavor! The beef is so tender, yummy! Also I love the olive leaves with shrimp and veggies! I'm a big fan of olive leaves, so I'm very picky about the flavor, but this dish has the authentic and perfect pickled olive leaves to add into the whole dish, really tasty with the jasmine rice provided. The service is nice and the portion is good! Price is reasonable, will definitely come back soon!

The restaurant looks pretty new. Somehow all the dim sums looked like they've been sitting there for a while. Not very appetizing. I can understand if the dim sums are on one of the carts roaming the floor but all the dim sums came straight from the kitchen? Also, the special taro bun looked like potatoes?Look aside, everything tastes okay. Nothing tasted bad and that's all I can say about it. The only thing is that they kept the prices low. Pretty much all the dim sums are $4.99 ea.
