“Mostly, ipa's served with what they brew. Some domestic beers. The food is awesome. Twice I've had the Phillie cheese steak sandwich, which is consistent. My husband had the fish and chips, which he said were very good. The pizza looks great, though I haven't had one. Highly recommend this establishment.“
“A true American classic bar. What most would call a dive bar… but it’s more than that. This is a full liquor, no food (but they have a taco stand out back with odd hours), single pool table (with a magic pocket), karaoke rocking, dollars tacked to the ceiling, tchotchkes dripping off the walls, St Patrick’s Day blow-out having, small bathroom, big back yard BAR. Any given weekend night, you will find stiff drinks, cowboys, bikers, regular folks and a few bachelorette or wedding parties all jamming out together like they are at a high school reunion they didn’t expect to enjoy as much as they did. If your local, you know… if your from out of town, yes.. this is the bar you want to end up at. See you there.“
“Fantabulous service, staff and food. Just stopped in for cocktails as I haven't been back since middle of pandemic for a housemates birthday a year ago. So got briefed on new and revisited this old cocktail, Tye Old fashioned. Boyfriend got a glass of wine and ordered us jalapeño poppers, so good! Great ambience, bar looks like it's under the ocean waves.“
“This was our first time. The burgers were fantastic. The service was even better. I discovered the separate milk shake menu with multiple delicious combinations for great shakes. The who experience was terrific and a real find. We will certainly be returning.“
“This restaurant was in walking distance to our Hotel. I ordered the Pork Chop dinner with a Sparkling Pom beverage. It was cooked perfectly good and had great flavor! The food, service and view were amazing and will definitely recommend and return at my next trip.“
“Food was amazing! Best filet I have ever had in my life. Ate at the bar, Lacey the bartender was wonderful. Loved all the "real people" farmers, cowboys enjoying a beer and some good times. Great atmosphere. I will definitely be back again and again :)“
“We started our evening intending to dine at Guiseppe's down the street but they had a two hour wait. This turned out to be the best thing that could have possibly happened since we decided to walk a bit and look at other options. We aren't big seafood people but found enough intriguing options on the menu at La Bodega to give it a try.So, just..wow. What a great meal. Service was fantastic. Wine was outstanding. We thought the food portions might be small but they actually we just fine. We had the Chorizo Empandas and darn near got into a fight over them. Then the BBB Slide, which were also raved over. The creme brulee cheesecake was good but not as good as the Whiskey in a Jar (bread pudding). All the wines were local.Serving staff could not have been better and the whole aesthetic is definitely not the tackiness I've come to associate with Pismo Beach. We expect to become regulars here.“
“Excellent experience all around. Delicious food (seafood pasta, fig pizza and cheeseburger). Good wine and mixed drinks, using house brands. Our server was very friendly and efficient. Unlike many restaurants these days, the noise level was perfect and allowed our party of 4 to enjoy our conversation without having to raise our voices.“
“The Pierfront Wine & Brew Bar is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Avila Beach! From the moment I stepped in, I was enchanted by the cozy ambiance and breathtaking view of the pier. But what truly stole the show was their impeccable wine selection - a connoisseur's dream come true! The variety was astounding, catering to every palate with finesse. The staff's knowledge and passion for wine were evident in every recommendation they made. Their personalized service elevated the entire experience, making me feel like a valued guest rather than just a customer. The attention to detail and genuine care in ensuring I found the perfect wine for my taste was unparalleled. Each glass was a delightful journey through flavors and aromas, complemented by the stunning sunset view. The staff's expertise in pairing wine with the delectable cheese and charcuterie boards added another layer of sophistication to the evening. Pierfront Wine Bar isn't just a place for wine enthusiasts; it's a haven for anyone seeking an exquisite experience. I can't recommend this place enough - it's a must-visit for anyone in search of top-notch wines and exceptional service in Avila Beach!“
“Fun little place right off of the Bob Jones trail. They have a nice selection of beers, ciders, and wines. Most of the products here are also local. They have a nice little garden area and plenty of games to play. If you can I'd definitely recommend this place as a stop to rest and play on your way back from finishing the Bob Jones trail.“
“Doughboy's is a long time favorite here on the Central Coast! They were pioneers of gluten free pizza, setting the bar high for others to "try" and imitate. They also have vegan cheese for all the vegans as well as for those who have lactose sensitivity like my youngest Daughter (a life saver let me tell ya!!! Haha)Their pizza crust has just the right amount of fluff while holding onto a perfect hardiness. Sauce, cheese and toppings finish off the pie just how it needs to be, delicious! They also have an assortment of appetizers, pastas and other eats that are also top notch....OMG, the lasagna is AMAZING!! Definitely one of our favorites! The crew are always friendly and on it and the atmosphere is chill, they are set up for takeout or delivery.Dietary restrictions: Their vegan cheese is great if you're lactose sensitive, but if you have a higher level of sensitivity, you probably still want to be care, avoid or take a lactose pill. They are great about warning you that the dough is made with milk, but for my Daughter it's not enough to give her trouble, just depends on your sensitivity level. Also, I'm not into the gluten free lifestyle, but friends I know who are, absolutely rave about their gluten free pizza, apparently it's the best ever! Sometimes they run out so try to get it early, they are very strict about the processing of it so limited quantities might be available depending on the demand.“
“We stayed in Pismo for 2 nights. The first night we arrived, we went as they were open late and we wanted to go back the next night as well. It's a very cool place to hang out, play pool and have drinks, and have some nice clean good ole fun. They have a very good selection of beer and food to go with it, oh and they have Billiards tables too (plenty of them).Next time we're there, we'll definitely be giving this place a visit.“
“Overall a nice place to eat and have a few drinks. Very friendly service. There are lots of beers to choose from and a large variety. Not just weird IPAs. You can have brown ale, larger, white beer, Amber and blonde beers as well. I would certainly come here again. Its location is ideal being close to the 101 and the local hotels. The price is very reasonable also.“
“As a single solo traveler finding places that are both safe and fun can be a challenge. The whole crew at Mr. Rick’s and the custom house make it easy to let loose and have a good time. Most recently I was served by Angie, keith, and Austin and had the best weekend visiting my favorite place. The live music and fun atmosphere make this place more memorable. Through and through a great experience highly recommend.“
“I had a great time at 15 degrees C in SLO. I met a friend there and we had a nice charcuterie board and some great sparking rose! The atmosphere is upscale but warm. They have many choices of wine available for taste and to buy by the bottle. I was shocked that we were the only ones there for 2 hours, I do realize it was a Thurs. at lunch time. I would love to return again in the evening, they have a cozy fireplace inside and some outdoor seating with fire pits as well.“
“My wife and I been wanting to try this place out for a whyle we finally did and I gotta say we were not disappointed staff was really friendly. My wife ordered the top sirloin and I order the new York with onions and mushrooms both cooked medium well. Food was delicious we are definitely going back.“
“Avery our server was friendly, the drinks were great, the food was fresh, hot, and tasty.Tuesday night is all you can eat Dungeness ? If you like crab it is your go to spot!Second time back to Cali since 2022. Spyglass was our go to for take out breakfast everyday! Crab Benedict, sautéed spinach, and fruit cup were our daily choice! Two thumbs up! The food was hot fresh and tasty! Mason was a joy every morning ?“
“The live music gets most people on the dance floor and having a good time. The drinks are ok too. I won't pay a cover charge unless I know there is something special to experience inside so the 10 dollar cover was a turn off but I just took a walk and came back around and they stopped charging at the door. Although the band was good with a lot of energy and talent. I was impressed.“
“Great food and drinks with friendly service. We came to town for a friend's mini-bachelorette trip with just 3 of us. We made a reservation for a Saturday evening, and we each enjoyed our meals and drinks thoroughly! The staff was friendly and prompt, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were accommodating to dietary needs as well. After our dinner, we bought a few shots at the bar while waiting for our ride. The bartender was friendly and mixed shots were great!“
