“You should get in here soon !We rolled in on 12/31/23 around 9. We Met the manager Meggs and everything else was wonderful. We had not come since the place had changed hands and that was our loss. The bar is cool, the lighting is fun AND the place has a legit old school shuffle board. “This place is very soulful. The food is also delicious. Wish we had more room to try some other items. We still had tater tots, deviled eggs, scrambled eggs with country potatoes and fried green ta'mators. Highly recommend. Sarah and Connor were very welcoming and polite. “I have been in here a few times now passing through. They have phenomenal Mexican food, I was blown away with it out in the cuts how it is near the forest. I used to live in San Diego and eat Stockton taco trucks. This is very good Mexican food right here. I believe they have like an super ultra burrito, OMG that thing is enormous. After doing a big hike I get that and no matter how hungry I am it feels me up and makes me feel very good. 5 stars for the customer service and amazing food. ?”

“Friendly atmosphere and location right at the "top" of the main drag are convenient; staff is friendly and attentive. That said, the coffee is world class, particularly the Arnold and Murphys blends. I would put their beans next to anything the other GlutCos put out as well as niche houses like Ritual. I've been around many coffee roasters and this place is a treasure.”

“We came at off hours and the place was packed. We're a family of 4 with small kids and there was nowhere to wait for a table. There's also only a few tables to begin with. We were planning on waiting in our car, but just left because everyone was too hungry to wait for the table and then food. I was very disappointed that there weren't more tables, especially outside where a lot more could fit. It's definitely not a spot for a group or with small kids.”

“Love Gyro's, so had to give it a try! Our party of four walked in and were seated right away. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu. The food was incredible and the gyro did not disappoint the restaurant was not very busy, but I'm hoping more people will try. The place was clean and very nice decor. Could be a little warmer inside, but I will be back to try other menu items.”

“Decided to spend a couple hours in Murphys because it's such a cute area for wine tasting. I had never been to Tuscanos but my friend had raved about it so I thought I'd give it a try. The appetizers were surprisingly tasty. How much can you expect from chicken wings, calamari and bruschetta? The chicken wings were covered in this tangy/garlicky sauce that just punched your mouth with flavor. They're definitely finger licking good. One order was not enough for four hungry adults. The bruschetta was light, refreshing and flavorful; and the calamari was thankfully not soggy or tasteless which can easily happen. The Caesar salad was good, I certainly finished it, but I cannot tell if I ate it all because I was soo hungry or because it was so good nonetheless it satisfied my craving. The Philly sandwich unfortunately lacked seasoning and the pasta was good but nothing spectacular. The service was great, seemed like there were only two ladies working the whole restaurant and they managed to do an excellent job.”

“Run, don't walk to this restaurant!! Awesome food and service! If i could give it 6 stars I would! I had the Grilled Elk Tenderloin with prawns. It normally comes with mashed potatoes, but I don't care for them so they gladly substituted mushroom risotto. Also came with fresh sauteed veggies. The meat was cooked perfectly, soooo tender. Risotto was spot on! Veggies are veggies, but they were good too. A totally sublime meal. My friends were equally impressed with their food also. Others had salmon, chicken cordon bleu and a corned brisket special with a yummy sauce. I WILL be running back to eat here again and will tell all my friends!!”

“We ordered EL Vaquero catering for a large family party. I called and spoke to the manager Alde and she was very accommodating and helpful. We ordered chicken and asada for tacos, quesadillas, rice, beans and cheese enchiladas and everything was FABULOUS! Everyone loved the food. They even helped accommodate us when the pick up time changed the week of. We were very happy with El Vaquero and will definitely be back soon!”

“This bread is awesome! The crust is perfectly crunchy and the bread is slightly spongy and soft. Was worried the "very sour" would be to sour but nope- It was perfect. Hope we can get this in SF.”

“I haven't been home in a while, so I was happy to see Arnold Chinese still open after covid. I have fond memories of going to lunch with my mom and her coworkers here. The updated menu is delicious and you can't beat the Lunch Special prices! I got the lunch special Hot spicy chicken (comes with veggies sautéed). My mom cannot have gluten so they made beef and veggie soup that she can have (forgot to take a picture, and soup of the day comes with lunch special), and chicken in garlic sauce and mixed vegetables. The serving portion was great! I haven't tried their dinner specials but will definitely come back.”

“Super friendly place. Drive thru. Good coffee. They were out of tons of stuff. We asked for 4 different food items and they were out. The staff was very nice and we ended up with tasty bagels and basic cream cheese. I would love to see some fancier cheese/bagel options in the future. If that little place can hold that up!”

“The Tasting room is underground, easy to find off main street. The natural rock walls make it a cool cave. We bought a red & white wine for gifts. Lucky for us, Todd's local sourdough bread was delivered there fresh, so we bought 3 loaves. We had never tried it before but heard it was the best. I agree! The staff was very knowledgeable, the owner I think. We were very pleased with our purchases & will be back when we have more time to try all the wines”

“First time here. What a charming little tasting room on main street in Murphy. When we walked past, quite a few folks were tasting, so we popped in. "Cool Karen" was the server and she made our experience. We had the "pick 3 for $15" and it was so much fun. My friend and I were both very intrigued by the presentation of this tasting. A special vessel / holder was used for the 3 glasses, which was then put on a diagram (paper) so we knew exactly which wine was which. We didn't end up buying any but had a lovely time sipping away. If in the area, give it a try. I shall add, it's a very intimate experience as the tasting room is quite small, but fun.”

“A perfect pub. Live music, lively service, and nachos. We came in for our second stop in Murphy's. They had all the drink info on the wall, a nice big food menu, and plenty of seating. The bartender who's name maybe Nick? Made us feel right at home. He was a step ahead of our needs the whole time as we sat at the bar and took over for an hour. We laughed and enjoyed ourselves immensely. I would consider that first class service. Ritz level, deep into Calaveras. Will be back for a stouty pint.”

“Super cute yummy ice cream shop. Make sure you stop in for a treat, do not pass it up. Love that you aren't distracted by 51 flavors. Limited flavors meals you can try them all. Great tasting and super creamy real ice cream. Prices are fair. Staff friendly and helpful in recommendations.”

“We tried this new restaurant last night, it was so delicious. The place is so cute, I can't wait until the spring for outdoor seating. The owner was serving us, she is so sweet and attentive. All meals include soup or salad, I had the salad so fresh, my husband had the soup he said it had great flavor. The chicken penne pasta was so full of flavor, and my husband's lamb chops were very tender. Large portions of food. So many items I plan on going back to try. I'm so excited to have a great restaurant in Arnold. The sandwiches for lunch also look amazing. Forgot to mention the wine selection, great choices, they had me at Rombauer!”

Food was awesome: we had the cowboy nachos, bacon lube, and the grilled chicken sandwich (it was recommended we add bacon and avocado to the sandwich, and it was delicious!) The place is historic so of course they have historic and period pieces all over: old skis, sleds, signage, and more. We’ll definitely be back!”
