I've been to too many that have fallen short.This one on particular raised a red flag for me because they also serve Mexican dishes.When I think of Salvi food, I think of pupusas. I realize there's more to Salvi food than that.Now, pupusas can be hit or miss. NOT HERE. This place is legit. 100% authentic delicious pupusas. The cheese to masa ratio is exactly what it should be.I'd come here again.“

“So my girlfriend took me here because she said she used to come here in her childhood and I'm so glad she took me for the papusas. They were sooo good. So apparently there's three styles (queso :just cheese, mixsta: beef, cheese and beans, she forgot the name of the third one but it's frijoles y queso (beans and cheese) ). We got mixta and put some cortido( mixture of vegetables)on top and the server gave us some salsa. Sadly I didn't get any pictures because I was to excited to eat but we got one each because we weren't too hungry and they were ONLY 5.50 WHICH IS AN ABSOLUTE STEAL. Overall I'd definitely recommend the papusas given I haven't tried anything else. Just a bummer it's so far away from where I live though.“
“Stopped here while I was in Bakersfield for work and was very pleased. I ordered two pupusas and a horchata and the food and drink were both delicious and very filling. The food cost $13 with the $1 credit card fee. The server gave me a hot sauce to use and warned me it was very spicy and it was indeed very very spicy. Overall this place deserves 5 stars“

“Went here for this first time a couple of weeks ago and have been back twice already. The food is delicious! I had the carne asada torta the first time. The flavor was amazing and they have a unique sauce that makes it even better. On top of the taste, which is most important, the size could be enough for two meals because it had a good amount of carne. Second time I had the Carne En Su Jugo. It was very tasty and lots of meat. Been back for the torta! I never left hungry!!I almost forgot, I did try a pupusa and it was sabrosa and a great price for the size.“

I called to order ahead and when I got there I was told they didn't have an order under my name & the lady just stared at me. “Food and service were phenomenal. The dining room is a little small so there aren’t many tables. We got lucky and showed up before lunch rush. Since we are a family of seven, it’s often hard for us to find seating. Everything was clean, including the restroom. The food came out fresh like it’s all made as you order it. We had many different dishes from pupusas to caldos. My in-laws are Salvadoran born and raised. This food is authentic down to the banana leaf wrapped tamales. They also run a car wash there so you can get your car detailed and have a great meal while you wait. Menu is in Spanish, so if you don’t speak Spanish, break out your Google translate.
