“Via Mar is one of my favorite restaurants. It is in Baldwin Park so close to home. They have daily specials. Margarita Mondays, happy hour daily from 4pm to 8pm and just an all around good vibe. Here are some pics of my favorite items.”

“Average looking vietnamese restaurant, but we were really pleasantly surprised that the food was quite good and pretty generous portions, very large bowls of pho and ample meat and the special noodles were really good noodles were really different so good.”

Parking: We stopped by on a Saturday evening and found plenty of parking. Don't overshoot the entrance as there aren't any good places to U-turn nearby.”

“Above average, I can say for everything. Add in and out, the only thing that is changing. Is there size of the hamburgers? Are getting smaller and also their fries. The smaller servings they're holding out on the food, but higher prices make me want to go and eat someplace else.”

“Let me just start by saying I never leave reviews and pho is literally my favorite food. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and given amazing service and recommendations on their most popular dishes. The food is amazing the store is clean and the broth had an amazing flavor. The spring rolls were perfectly made and the peanut sauce was amazing as well. Definitely will be coming back here regularly .”

It's surprisingly hard to find modern cafe that does full sit-down services with utensils and cups, so I'm glad I found this one. Parking: The parking lot is on the side and back, although there is no direct store front parking, there is plenty in the back”

“The food is really good! I bought lunch for me and my parents and they enjoyed the food. I got the hot spicy level and it’s a good amount of spice. The man at the front is very nice and answered my question about spicy level since it was my first time there. I also asked for one combo with the sauce on the side and I received it just like I asked. Service was quick. The restaurant is clean and in a convenient location.”

“Love this place! They use real tea leaves instead of tea powder and coloring. You can taste the natural flavor, which is very fresh. The staffs are very friendly. I will come back with my friends.”

“The most important thing for those with allergies is that it is nut free. No peanuts in their Kung Pao chicken and she said no nuts in anything so no possibility for cross contamination. The almond cookies of course have an almond in them but they are individually packaged and not in the cooking area. They use soy oil. They don’t use MSG.

SERVICE: Ling was incredibly helpful answering my questions and figuring out what would work for me.

VIBE: The place, while not beautifully decorated is extremely clean.

FOOD: The food was really good. Of course taste is subjective - I grew up with proper Chinese food and this is proper.

QUALITY: excellent and fresh no browning on the veggies.

PORTIONS: Huge - one 2 item combo was enough for 2 people who eat healthy size portions. I could only eat half.

BONUS: Bilingual - Spanish didn’t seem to be an issue.

PRICES: Average. $9-13 for combos, $6 for soup, $1 for an egg roll.

Highly recommend not because it’s the #1 Chinese food place but the overall experience qualifies as 5 star in my book.

Vegetarian options: I asked the following are meat free…Veggie, Egg Drop and Hot & Sour soup, they will custom make soft or fried tofu and veggies for the combo plate, Veggie egg rolls, chop suey, etc.”

“This restaurant was just bought by a new owner, I came here to eat some red chicken enchiladas and they were mouthwatering. The staff is friendly and attentive. The place is very clean and welcoming. Their appetizer tomato sauce is the best I've tried so far along with their chips. Top service in town, if you have any questions for whatever reason you can call them during their regular business hours and they will gladly answer them, would recommend to anyone.”

They only had one waitress when we went but she was so warm and welcoming. She openly made conversation with us and our food was delivered to us quickly. “This is my go-to spot for breakfast in the area. They have breakfast special starting off at about $6. I usually get the willows rancheros for a little over $7 or corned beef hash with three eggs for about $10. Cup of coffee with unlimited refills is only $1.75 which is about half what other restaurants charge. It's very possible to get breakfast with coffee for roughly $10 all in. It's under new ownership and the name is recently changed but the price is up for the most part stayed the same. I will keep coming back here.”

The only down fall is during summer time, it is extremely hot inside as they do not have a/c or fans. I'm eating here with my girlfriend and we're on summer time and I'm literally sweating and dying of how hot it is inside this restaurant . They need to fix their a/c or add fans because you won't be able to enjoy your meal.”

“Owner Operator Jose A Portillo has a gem of an Italian restaurant in Baldwin Park. Stopped in early on a Friday for some dinners to-go. My elderly parents are mostly homebound and they are very fond of this little eatery. I was deeply impressed with the service and attention from Jose himself during our visit. And this was for to-go orders. We got two orders of La Pescadori and a meatball sandwich. The dishes were spectacular and the care and love from El Appetiz was world class.”

“I needed about 2-3 dozen pandulce for a xmas party. I was able to get everything fresh and some champurrado too. I also got birotes de queso y jalapeño and another with some random stuff. Both were good, the lady one just not my cup of tea lol but the bread was soft and yummy. I didn't have any of the pandulce cause I dropped it off and left, but my prima reached out and asked where I got them from cause she said they were super delicious! Just a side note, I think it was a little pricier than I'm used to. I'm from ELA and there's a panaderia on every corner and middle of a block lol It's not like that for BP, so I'm sure the price reflects that. But I'd still return!”

“A hidden gem of excellent authentic Tex Mex cuisine hidden between the gluttony of fast food franchises in Baldwin Park.This is the best food, service and price you will get for delicious Mexican food in the San Gabriel Valley. Portions are generous and price can’t be beat. I got 3 tacos and chips for $6! Where else can you get a deal like that? Taco Bell would cost you twice as much for frozen fast food with tons of fat and cholesterol.The hard working and caring staff at Micheladas makes the food fresh with quality you can see as they are making it.And as an added bonus,if you’re into Karaoke, the owners will entertain you as you eat their awesome Mexican dishes. Make it a point to visit here. It’s worth the trip!

I had the best burrito con pollo (chicken) I think I have ever had! I got a to-go order, and it was wrapped up so well it stayed nice and warm on the way back to the hotel. My Spanish is very rusty but I had no problem placing or receiving my order. I wish we had these in Kentucky! It was packed, so it may take a few minutes to get your order if you go after 6pm.”

“Have tried the food at this place a few times and it’s pretty decent. The cashiers are always nice and my food is ready in a few minutes. I highly recommend their Super California Burrito which can feed up to 2-4 people and costs about $16. You are also given a fair amount of salsas upon request. The dining area is pretty small.”
