This is a small place that looks a bit dumpy on the outside. Don't let that fool you. Very good Mexican food. You irder at the counter, but they serve you. There is seating inside and outdoors. The restrooms are very clean. The food was very good. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich, and I had the lunch special of chicken tacos with rice and beans. It was all very good, but the pulled pork was really exceptional. The waitstaff was pleasant, and we kept asking for additional items, but they stayed upbeat and prompt. The locals obviously know this place. You should too.

On our way back to Vegas, we stopped here. Just off Route 66, this place doesn't seem like much from the outside, but wow! We had a group of 7 (including 3 wild kids!) and the service was amazing. They were so patient and kind. The food was outstanding. Everyone had something different and we all raved about how good the meal was! I joked I was coming back next week (I live in Texas). We must have come at the worst time ever. We ordered lunch and it didn’t come out till an hour later. Which would have been nice to know that like hey we just got a lot of over the phone orders your lunch will be awhile, but that was not communicated. Also on this line another couple waited an hour with us for food and they ordered before us and didn’t get their food I don’t know if it’s because of what they ordered or the hostess felt pity we had hangry kids. We left before seeing when they got their food.Secondly I’m marking it down because the food was sub par at best after that long wait. We got a kids meals chicken wings which tasted like anything you can get at any fast food joint and the fries were stiff. We also ordered a chicken kids taco which was meh and the beans and rice were also not anything to write home about. We last ordered Taquitos which might have been the worst chicken thing we ordered out of the three and that’s saying something.I don’t know who’s reviewing this place with such high stars but the only nice thing about it was the hostess. Anyways keep driving in my opinion. Sorry but I have to be honest because I came here due to the high reviews.

I cannot even rate the quality of my food as I have been here over an hour and still haven’t received my 3 tacos. Carry out business may be what’s driving the slow service, as there just aren’t that many people here and yet we still haven’t gotten our food yet. Would not recommend stopping here to anyone who has anywhere to go the rest of the day.

I never leave reviews, but this small business is absolutely worth a visit! From the warm personal welcome from Billie, to the great customer service, to the outstanding food it was a win for the whole family. Must try: combo burrito, chorizo tacos, and potato and green chili tacos. WIN! A little smokey from all the yummy food cooking on the grill on a cold Cali night. Great stop to/from Vegas with home cooking! Highly recommend.
