“I went to Beer Thug Brewing recently. I played a round of pinball on a Jurassic Park themed pinball machine. I thought the place looked decent, but it was a bit empty. There was a DJ playing music, but I thought the music was a bit too loud. I liked that there were music videos being streamed and projected on a wall. I liked that there was karaoke at one point.“

I’m not usually a beer drinker but I had two beers and they were very flavorful. The bathrooms were immaculate clean which I loved. The gentlemen working were very kind and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. It's a family-friendly local spot. There are table games to enjoy. They have a nice taproom space that expands outdoors, they have TV's playing whatever major game is going on that night, and the beer is top notch. My group thoroughly enjoyed the Tuna Thai Thai Belgian Blonde w/ Prickly Pear,Coffee Porter, Snuggly Bug Sour, Hoppy New Year Spruce Tip IPA and Unyielding Haze IPA! The Portuguese, Spanish and Mexican fusion taco stand was also amazing, and we came back for seconds! Some of the best tacos we've had in a long time! The prices for the beer here were also below market average which was a nice change of pace, especially since everything was delicious. 5/5 would highly recommend stopping in!“

“This has been always been one of my favorite bars in LA, but has gotten even better over the last few years with the new patio area. Great selection of beer, wine, kombucha, etc., solid bar food, and the staff is always helpful and willing to let you do a taste of something before ordering. Wanted to also chime in regarding H.R.'s one star review of the bar. We were outside that night as well, and her telling of events is hilariously untrue. She assaulted a patron, threatened a second patron, poured a beer on a third patron, and was finally asked to leave by staff. Her husband also threatened our table despite us not being a part of the kerfuffle she started with the people at the table next to us. It was definitely an eventful night, but the staff handled the situation well given how unruly she and her party were.“

“Best craft beers in Signal Hill. Love that they have more non IPAs than IPAs in their taps. My favorite beer was the Holly Blonde Ale. Crisp and refreshing. Ordered the margarita pizza and after coming back from indulging on pizza in Italy for 2 week, this margarita holds up.“

“Regularly like to frequent breweries that have Hazy IPAs and let me tell you that their Kikokiko Hazy IIPA is fire! It's up there with the great Hazy IPA breweries such as HPB and Monkish. Took a 4 pack of Kikokiko home and will definitely be back.“

“Cellador has long been a top-rated brewery amongst beer fans/snobs, but their niche is very particular: They produce barrel-fermented sour beers, so if you're looking for a hard seltzer, Czech pilsner, or triple imperial pastry stout, this isn't the brewery for that. Cellador's current location on Del Amo Boulevard in Torrance is not a taproom; there's no place to drink here. To be honest, it's barely even a sales location. From the large Smog City Brewing logo on the wall, one can likely surmise they are using capacity at a Smog City facility ― especially since Smog City's brewery and taproom are right across the parking lot. (That, and the first person who helped me here I later spotted worked at said taproom.) The owner came and spoke with me, and was very patient even as I admitted that I am not a big fan of sour beers and that I had not warmed well to one of Cellador's I had recently tried. Nonetheless, I did find something to purchase: a Lichtenhainer, a rare type of beer that has a lactic fermentation where the malt is smoked, so it's both smoky and sour. (It's an acquired taste, to be sure, but I love smoked beers.) While their style may not be my thing, I respect Cellador's devotion to their craft, and the owner is a really nice guy, too. I wish them the best, and while they may not be in my beer strike zone, I'll keep trying them to see what they're doing.“

“Love this place! The energy, environment and vibe is great. The place is awesome and the people are really nice. It is also veteran owned! They have a great selection of beer from dark to light IPA is blonde, red, stout. There is plenty of places to sit for small or large parties or gatherings. It looks like they also set up for some type of maybe music or night. There is also a good selection for pizza, which is brick oven pizza. Definitely will go back here!“

“It’s ironically a local brewery to where in life in Georgia, but this nice hipster style brewery with a good choice of beers (some exclusively only available in CA) and incredibly friendly staff…much better than the sports driven bars nearer to the Crypto. “This brewery is so well hidden you'd never know it was there. Thankfully I'm always looking for new breweries to go to and this one I've had circled for a minute. I finally got a chance to go and at first sight the menu wasn't too impressive to my tastes. However, I do enjoy a good Hef and that's what I got. It was hands down one of the best beers I've ever tasted. I enjoy tasting new beers, I hardly ever stick with one beer and have it over and over again. But this Hef, I could picture myself doing that, it was so refreshing. The carbonation was on point and the flavor was outstanding. I also tried the hoppy Pilsner and I'm not a fan of strong hops. I do however enjoy the smell of hops and that beer smelled very hoppy but it didn't taste hoppy. It was magnificent. I really enjoyed my visit here. The taproom was very clean and it was a nice space. The service was outstanding. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgable. I'll definitely be coming back here. .“

“Nice little neighborhood brewery with a mini parking lot and plenty of street parking. The beertender was a nice guy and gave my husband a couple of splashes to help him decide which beer to choose. Looks like they are set up for some game playing a small stage for live music. Kind of quiet when we went on a Saturday afternoon. Seems like a great place for guys to get together.“

“So we happened upon this lovely brewery! We stopped in and tend not to be huge IPA fans. I am VERY German and love my barely nutty beers! We tried over 13 of there beers. All pretty dang tasty even the IPA’s (and Ernesto is a double IPA which I generally push off on the hubby I drank it all myself and actually enjoyed it!!!). Everything is super palatable and drinkable. If there is a question, yes stop they have something for everyone!“

“Eagle Rock Brewery may be the most under appreciated brewery in Los Angeles. It's located near a dead end not too far from Glendale, Los Feliz and the Griffith observatory.I went last week and had two of the most drinkable west coast IPA's I've had all year. While it doesn't the variety of El Segundo it more than makes up for it with the quality of its brews and cool populist vibes. Drink up guys!“

“Cool little brewing company with nice outdoor area complete with fire rings, heaters and benches & tables. Fun atmosphere at night with quick service and great beer & cider. Say hi to the bar cat who is super friendly and makes his rounds checking on guests. (Dog friendly bar as well) I don't think they serve food from the actual Benny Boy Brewery but they usually have outside vendors come in with delicious food.“

“fyi to anybody planning on coming here the beer list is on the smaller side and the beer percentage is also on the lower side. i think the highest percent i saw was a 6% which in no way is a bad thing or a knock to them but we were looking for more options and stronger ones. other than that, the service was great and the waitress was very attentive. i'd visit in the future to try some of the food i saw on the menu which seems like this place is more of a date night so i'd be sure to visit under different circumstances. i'd also note that the restroom was extremely clean. lastly, the beer was good and there was really no complaints about this brewery.“

“We have been coming since my last review and it's changed... still good... pizza got better, love the new selection of beer too... the bartenders are awesome; specifically Mercedes, Danielle and Nicole... we have never had a bad time there... wish they would have another booth maybe on the other side of the original booth but hey we still go either way... now that we know they have a high chair bcuz all this time we didn't know lol... there has never been a fight or disturbance since we have been going and that's 9 years... it's always chill which makes us feel safe for taking our two kids... they allowed us taking a cake for our daughter and stopped the music to sing happy birthday to her... that's awesome! In comparison to other breweries in the surrounding area there is actually fantastic food served in-house. A lot of the breweries in the Chinatown and Arts District area do not have in-house food menu, and if they do the food is somewhat mediocre. But at Homage the drinks and food are delicious! On weekdays, Homage isn't as busy and is a great date night spot! The food comes out quick and the lines for drinks are much shorter. Definitely recommend date night at Homage!“

“We were invited to spend an evening with friends at this spot in Gardena. We were pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to find parking either on the street or in the additional lot in the back. There's a patio area out front with plenty of seating and even a few party games ( Cornhole, Connect Four, etc) our party was seated near the door, and one of the several space heaters, which we appreciated more and more as the night went on It was Tuesday, and we took advantage of the Taco Tuesday special and there's also a deal for half/off Margaritas deal. Every one in our group tried a different drink, we were all pleasantly surprised. Being a cider house, that's what the hubby and I ordered. I had the 'Mexican Lollipop' a watermelon habanero cider which was the perfect amount of spice for me. May not be enough for others tho. The hubby got The Wipeout and Best Coast ciders, he enjoyed each one, the Wipeout just a bit more because it was less sweet and a bit more abv %We each got the tacos, I had the chicken, the hubby got the pork tacos. The tacos tasted great, street taco style. At $6 for three tacos, a good deal, although we were a bit hungry later.After a while the temperature dipped and we moved inside, which also has ample seating. Inside, the theme is SoCal beachy surf vibes. There's a few TV's if you want to see the games, the hubby got to catch the third quarter of the Lakers game! Four of us also played a round on the fooseball table there. Overall, we spent about 2.5 hrs there just hanging out, enjoying great drinks and food with good friends. A great spot to do just that. “Came here after lunch to check out this LA institution. Hidden in a small neighborhood next to the I5 and Dodger Stadium, we were glad we went. The brewery had a cool hipster vibe. There were several couples who brought their kids and some patrons had their dogs. The main serving bar is inside located in the original structure. We ordered inside then took our glasses outside to the patio area where everyone seemed to be hanging out and having a good time! We enjoy a lighter beer and ordered the "kinky". A blonde ale at 5.2%. It was pretty darn good but a little heavier than I usually like my blonde ales. We had a small taster of "Survey Says", a Mexican lager. It was ok but not as good as the "kinky". Frogtown serves food outside via a temp kitchen located under an awning. Overall a good experience for me.“

“Finally found it after wandering around Grand Central Market (I came in from the Broadway side). Just tried the beers and looked at some merch. Have only had GR beers in can before, so I enjoyed having tap beers. Great beers as expected and staff is super friendly and helpful. “I was in the area and was hungry after a workout, so I check it out.Customer service was cool and by the bartender, even though I got to self seat near the bar. I had the mixed organic salad with chicken and side salmon. This salad was probably one of the best salads I’ve had for its style.The chicken was tender and the salmon was cooked perfectly. An amazing protein packed after workout meal. I didn’t expect it to be that good but on my list for top salads of all time. Had that sweet and tangy taste coupled with the fresh greens. ROOM (guest room & suite)We tried the double queen guest room & a suite.We found both configurations to be comfortably spacious, with a high degree of cleanliness & ample storage for our extended stay. The design of the rooms is generally just really impressive with a lot to appreciate: high-ceilings, a myriad of seating options, great natural+overhead lighting, floor-to-ceiling windows, clear views across the city, blackout curtains ergonomic workspaces, & plush hotel stock.Nothing I can think to complain about... BEDThe mattresses are more soft than firm, which I don't usually enjoy but the bedding was too good to protest. Soft, cozy, clean, & better than most brands with self-described "premium" bedding.One thing I didn't love was the choice of metal/aluminum base; just too noisy & atypical.BATHLavish & indulgent bathroom designs in guest rooms & suites, with some of the most impressive shower installations I've experienced in my last ~70 stays: high quality fixtures, tile, & accents all throughout.No pre-stocked shower sets but there's a plethora of Whish toiletries provided for your convenience. The bath robes are also with the hassle of requesting.Yet It's not without a few flaws: towels are on the smaller side, the water pressure is a bit weak, & the OSFA slippers did not fit me (size 11)TV & ENTERTAINMENT42" LG HD flatscreen on swivel base (guest room) or rotating entertainment center (suite).The entertainment setup in the suite was more fashionable than functional; not as accommodating as the guest room counterpart. Most of the built-in services didn't work & other integrations wouldn't connect. I wish they did less with the set top box because the apps are a hassle.WI-FI & CELL RECEPTIONComplimentary WiFi is unencrypted but performs very well! Solid for work & streaming. If you're craving junk food, there's also a mini market in the lobby.NOISEThe sound proofing is solid. It doesn't completely dampen the city noise found in downtown LA (police, ambulance, etc) but it does a good enough job.LOCATIONLots of convenience stores & restaurants within walking distance.There's varying amounts of un-homed that roam in the vicinity but there's a consistent security presence nearby. VERDICTDespite the spa still being (indefinitely) closed, I enjoyed this property WAY more than I expected & extended my stay a number of times.
