Laura is amazing! She is on the World Pizza Champions team! We tried the La Regina pizza - the award winner - and it was amazing. New York style crust was perfect and crispy and the toppings were delicious. Great service and the atmosphere in the restaurant is bright and fun. Definitely going back to try more of the

We had a larger party and so made a reservation. I highly recommend this! Even though we went for lunch it was busy inside and there would have been a wait if we did not have one. The pizza is hands down the best I've had in the Bay Area. I've been to all the top spots in the Bay and this is a true gem. The Detroit style pizza is awesome. I was not sure about grandma style, but I'm glad we had it since it turned out to be delicious. The thin crust and cracker like edges were perfect. I'm already dreaming of my next visit!

Upstairs temp was 85 degrees due to kitchen below but large bank of AC units not on. Served room temp tap water, lasagna not heated up enough with cold spots and mediocre pasta. Pizza was very good. Way too pricey.

Honestly one of the best food spots in Berkeley all things considered. Delicious, high quality pizza made with time and care that you can taste in every bite. It was my first time trying sicilian pizza and it was divine. So fluffy with a nice crust, great sauce and toppings. Wish they gave a bit more sausage but besides that perfect. The burrata and pepperoni and honey all went so well together.I will return soon and have their Detroit style pizza and the vodka sauce. The Brussel Sprouts are probably the best I've ever had. Owner and staff were super nice, super underrated spot. THE place to go in Berkeley if you want some bangin pizza.

TBH we were deciding on which pizza restaurant to go to as there was another one across the street. We went there first, but a part from not being able to accommodate us, the host was not very friendly and managed to turn us away with nery a smile. That worked out in our favor because we ended up at da Laura. The minute we walked in we were greeted with an enthusiastic welcome from a staff member and were seated within minutes. The menu has several pizza style options. I'm more of a thin slice girlie but on occasion will have a Detroit style. You have the task of deciding what style pizza you are in the mood for. They also have pasta options and calzone. The Detroit Style pizza had sold out for the night which was a shame bc I was viciously drooling at the Ray J sitting at the table next to us! But in the end, the NY style Lil One did not disappoint. We also had the Vodka Cream rigatoni. Same sauce as the Lil One but tasted different on each. Both very good. Got some pepperoni and cheese pizzas for the kids which can easily be split. The salads are also for sharing. There are two floors and plenty of room for everyone. Our server was helpful and also had a bit of dry sense of humor - my people. Would definitely come back to da Laura!

Came off the recommendation of friends and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food here. You got your choice of classic NY Style, Detroit, Grandma but really the only one anyone should ever get is the New York. Not because this place can't deliver but I mean it's pizza and I'm biased being from the east coast. Nevertheless, we ordered the Ray J. We were torn between this and the award winning La Regina but not disappointed with our selection. The dough was cooked nicely with a good portion of dough to toppings and the texture was lightly crispy which was appreciated. The sauce is very flavorful and you'll get your fill with a 12 inch if only two are sharing it. If you got a third wheel size up and get the 18 inch. Centered right in the middle of downtown Berkeley it is best to walk to this prime location centered between the Shattuck Split. Parking may be tough so commute in or enjoy while day drinking in the area. The service was good and helpful. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and given our choice of place to sit, sit by the window to get a great view of downtown bustling Berkeley. Bathrooms are downstairs through the elevator( I know what pizza joint has an elevator!) If you don't want to dine in you can get slices to go! Definitely will be doing that to have next time I'm in town. I would highly recommend this locale.

My friend and I were visiting Berkeley and stumbled upon this restaurant. They were busy so we sat at the bar. The food was delicious. I especially liked the Fucaccia Bread , arugula salad and Check to Check cocktail. The bartender was friendly and helpful. Service was excellent! I will definitely return.

This place is a 5/5! Our server was really kind and accommodating to our party. She was able to give us a great recommendation of their amazing selection! They are definitely award winning! Their tiramisu is also phenomenal! I highly recommend checking this pizzeria! They have a lot of seating both up and downstairs. It's located in downtown Berkeley, not too far from the Bart Station and Cal Campus.

The pizza is pretty good but the Caesar salad was terribly disappointing. It's a beautiful place to eat. The service was a bit disappointing which could be because they were brand new. I wish them luck.

My go to pizza place in Berkeley. Also the penne vodka is one of the best Italian dishes I have ever had. Flawless! I suggest the Ray-J pizza Sicilian style, the pepperoni NY style, and anything Detroit style! They offer FOUR different crust styles! Even "grandmas" square! Prices are restaurant prices BUT they are totally reasonable for what you get.

The pizza quality here is amazing as you will no doubt soon learn they are "world champions"! Busy, but not crowded. Urban vibe, like a city pizzeria.
