I just recently had lunch at La Villa after not eating there for a couple of years. It's not that this place isn't good, I just forget about it since it's out in Bethel Island. Food is always consistent and flavorful. Staff is friendly. I ordered the chicken taco meal and it did not disappoint. Not much has changed in this little place and I like that in a restaurant. When they have something that works don't try to fix it!
Best tacos I've had. I get the steak crunchy tacos and the meat is flavored so well it leaves me craving more. The chips and salsa are good starters. The salsa is not spicy which is good for me. Rice and beans are good too. Love that the food is not super greasy like most Mexican food places...Love this little place

The best food on the island , the service & salsa Can not Be beat . The shrimp Fajitas are amazing, the owners always make us feel welcome and do not put restrictions on chips & salsa like The other place . no oil or greasy food here! Rice & guacamole, homemade salsa! Ruben's mole- the best I've ever had. We make our own requests for shrimp nachos and they have no problems filling it to make us happy. So sad to not have them on Monday. Ugh makes me appreciate Tuesday even more...read full review
