“What a great night! My family and I have eaten here a few times over the last 30 years. This was our best visit yet! Food was great! Service was great! The vibe was great! It ain’t cheap but it absolutely did not disappoint and was worth every penny. A special thank you to Harmony who was our waiter. She was off the hook! It started right as we walked in the door. The hostess was funny and engaging. The manager took our jackets and was funny and happy. Then 90 mins of great food and attentive service from Harmony and her crew of support staff. Everyone was super engaging, nice, friendly and a joy to be with. You made our visit to Big Bear memorable!“
“Admittedly we found this place on a list as a gift certificate. we didn't make reservations & we're fortunate on a weekday they were able to take our party of 7. The ambiance was cozy cabin & lended to description of casual fine dining. The server, I believe named Shaun was spot on service & his recommendations. He stated he has been there over 25 years and he named many others working there had a long length of service (that says something) All of our food came out as ordered everything tasted amazing and fresh. Their salad dressings are homemade and tasted great. I had blackened sea bass & our daughter's pork chop & clam chowder was amazing. I was too full to try any other dishes. Would definitely recommend and go back if we visit in the future“

“Went there last night for my husbands birthday dinner. We weren't very hungry because we had a pretty big lunch at Saucy Mama's. Service was excellent, atmosphere was so nice, no loud music and low lighting made it feel fancy. We got the Onion Straws, Steak Tacos, House Salad and Mango Margarita, all of it was really good. We will be back on our next Big Bear visit. Thanks Oakside for a great dinner experience.“
“Absolutely lovely staff. Seeing some of these comments and reviews it makes me question. Some of the patrons that are going there and leaving the reviews. The staff here is nothing but friendly and super accommodating. There's always one host in the front. That's also waiting as well. They are kind and also very reassuring to making sure that your meal is correct. Anything wrong with my mail, they never have a hesitation to send it back and fix it. We got the beef Wellington, which is absolutely superb, and the bacon wrapped scallops. It has been had the ribeye and my daughter had the kids chicken tenders. All amazing, and you can never go wrong with the view“
“Im not sure about the 1 star reviews, maybe they were rude to the staff and reciprocated their own energy, but my family just picked up a to go order from Dynasty and the food is fantastic!!! We got the Mongolian beef, veggie chow mein, Mapo tofu, and hot and sour soup and literally everything was fantastic. Best dish, Mapo tofu w/pork over white rice . If you're in the mood for Chinese take out, this is your spot. Don't let the haters detour you from trying this spot.“
“During our family trip to Big Bear, we stumbled upon Azteca Mexican Restaurant and were thoroughly impressed by not only the food but the exceptional service tailored especially for families. It's a gem that deserves every bit of praise. The menu itself is simple, but really good with lots of what seems to be hand made chips, tortilla's, and salsa, offering everything from sizzling fajitas to authentic relleno dishes. Our server, noticing our children's curiosity about the dishes, even brought out a small bean dip with cheese for them to try, which was a hit! What set Azteca apart was the staff's genuine effort to engage with us. One of the waiters flagged us down as we pulled into the parking lot, and made sure we didn't leave just because there was no parking. This attentiveness extended to their food preparation as well; they were happy to adjust spice levels and accommodate allergies, ensuring everyone at the table had a wonderful dining experience. In conclusion, Azteca Mexican Restaurant is a must-visit for families traveling to Big Bear. The combination of delicious, authentic Mexican food and the staff's attentiveness to families—especially those with young children—makes for an unforgettable dining experience. It's clear that Aztec isn't just about serving great food; it's about creating a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere where every member, no matter how small, feels special.“
