“Every time we're in the area, we have to stop in and get some pie. There is limited parking spots in the lot and the exterior of the building is cute and whimsical. It's hard to miss. There is no indoor seating and it's pick up only. You can call and pre-order but you'd still have to wait in line to pay and pick up your order. We've been here a handful of times already. Last year in October, we arrived literally 5 minutes after they opened and by the time I got to the front of the line 20 minutes later, they were almost sold out of everything. I ended up with a whole Dutch apple pie and a slice of caramel pumpkin pie. The Dutch apple pie was soooo good.We were here yesterday and this time we arrived 20 minutes before they opened at 10:30am. There was already a line forming outside. I got a whole Mixed Berry Pie ($38) and two chicken pie pies ($18/each). The thing about the pies here is that you can taste all the ingredients from the buttery crust to fresh fruit. This was our first time trying their pot pies. They are frozen and you have to cook them yourself. Unfortunately mine didn't come with baking instructions but glad someone posted it on Yelp. Set oven to 375 and cook for 90 minutes (sometimes longer depending on your oven). I rotated the pot pies halfway through and at the end needed and extra 5 minutes to get up to internal temp. Wow they were so flavorful and super flaky crust my husband was definitely a fan.”

“I was trying to find what to get when I saw Hog on The Rocks, one of the workers named Juan approached me and started telling me all about the new menu . I asked him what he recommended and he told me it was the Hog Burger by far . I took his advice and it was absolutely incredible n it hit the spot . Would highly recommend .”

“Came to thelma's for the first time ever on a Saturday night before closing. We had a lovely server named Brett, he is a king. He made our night. The restaurant was so cozy and welcoming. Both my friend and I were in bad mood that night, but boy did our frowns turn into smiles real quick! I had the tuna melt, my friend had a burger. We both agreed it was the best food we had the entire trip and Brett's service was phenomenal (give him a raise Thelma) The food was so good we had to return the next morning for breakfast. Let me tell you... the breakfast was life changing. Their home fries are stupendous! I highly recommend everyone check this place out. They deserve 3/3 Michelin stars!!”

“Very nice restaurant, and super kind employees! My boyfriend and I went here when leaving town in a big rush on a holiday weekend, and the customer service was great; We got our food quickly to go, and it was delicious. I even accidentally left my wallet at the restaurant and one of the employees was kind enough to mail it back to my house. Overall, this restaurant had a nice warming atmosphere, and many diverse food options for everyone. I highly recommend it for a casual restaurant, for breakfast, lunch or dinner.”

It's a gem that deserves every bit of praise.The menu itself is simple, but really good with lots of what seems to be hand made chips, tortilla's, and salsa, offering everything from sizzling fajitas to authentic relleno dishes. Our server, noticing our children's curiosity about the dishes, even brought out a small bean dip with cheese for them to try, which was a hit!What set Azteca apart was the staff's genuine effort to engage with us. One of the waiters flagged us down as we pulled into the parking lot, and made sure we didn't leave just because there was no parking. “I love this place. Early morning breakfast in the village is peaceful and charming. We walked in, and there was only one other person. We grabbed a window seat and git to unwind. I had the coffee, which was great, and my daughter had the salmon and eggs. Which was also great.I highly recommend this place. But be warned. It's in downtown Big Bear. During the weekend, it's a high traffic/high tourist area. You may have to wait.”

“I usually never feel the need to write reviews about places but this place is phenomenal the workers are so nice and considerate the owner came and talked to us about the story of the restaurant (honestly so inspiring). And as a celiac they do lettuce wrap and offer gluten free buns! I definitely recommend getting the jalapeño ranch and the fry sauce truly mind blowing. If you are in big bear this is a must try!”

“Our family of 4 enjoyed a nice lunch here. Service was friendly and food was served quickly. We were treated to an extra side of their delicious homemade hot sauce. We enjoyed chicken Tikka, Tikka masala, saag paneer, lamb momo, and 2 mango lassis, with naan and rice. It fed us all very well with extra to take home. I would recommend this restaurant.”

“Incredible tea, and insanely good gelato! My partner and I visited this shop twice during our very short stay, and the tea was absolutely incredible. We tried their Thai Tea with boba, and a few different hot teas, and all of them were exceptional.If it's snowing outside, then this is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys tea. If it's hot out, then be sure to stop by for the gelato. I don't really typically enjoy Gelato, but they had some really inspired and amazing flavors (we taste tested a few while we waited for our teas). Honestly, get some of this even if it's not hot out!The people who work here are extremely friendly as well. All in all it's just a really great experience to drop by. It's worth noting that this is the only place in Big Bear we stopped by *twice* at during our visit.”
