“Bodega is a breathtakingly gorgeous town. That hairpin turn going to the coast or returning from the ocean has more dramatic stories. After eating breakfast at Lucas Wharf Restaurant on Sunday, I drove back to Santa Rosa to see this SUV inside the Bodega General Store next to the surf shop under the church where Barbara got married. The irony is that, nobody was surprised. Drivers take this turn crazy. Adam, Dave, and Jeff took out all the mailboxes taking this turn when I was at Montgomery High School in 1986. Returning from Goat Rock Beach at 2:00 am in the morning, their truck took the hairpin turn fast and took out all the post office mail boxes as they sped east towards Santa Rosa. “I have been going to River’s end restaurant for almost two decades and have always loved the experience. This time, I decided to stay a few days at the new Home collection lodging and the getaway was completely remarkable. I will make sure to come back more often in order to unplug and relax completely in this paradisiacal getaway.“

“Good food, they had the ground meat so it's a bit different. The plate was filled with meat, in fact i was hoping for a bit more of the noodles. Whatever was going on with the meat, it was a bit too sweet. So an overpopulation of meat made the dish a bit much. They had chillies at the table, but microscopic ones. Not enought to balance out the food. The dish was prepared by a culinary artist, just like in the shows. It was nice, but not what i was looking for.“

And what a beautiful young family running this gem of a place in a gorgeous destination!We loved the beet salad, the special pizza which had ground lamb, and of course I alway have to try a Margherita pizza a my measuring stick for how good a pizza establishment is!Spot on!!!Oh and the chocolate cake with the sea salt caramel whipped creams was absolutely an orgasm in our mouths!!! ?I highly recommend this gem of a pizza pie place! ??“

“Extremely delicious, service was amazing!!! Potato leek soup was delicious with just the perfect amount of bacon. The steak was very good, well paired with fries! Duck leg was cooked perfectly, with perfect crispy skin! The lentils with bacon, chef's kiss!“

“Listen, the food in these little coastal spots rarely ever really knocks my socks off, and it's always going to be a touch more expensive (it's hard work getting supplies), BUT I was very pleased with my meal and service. Portions felt generous, and I didn't mind the small charge for chips and salsa. The staff was really friendly and was happy to seat us close to closing. Good spot, especially if you find yourself in Bodega Bay on a Sunday evening.“

“Stopped at Gourmet Au Bay on a girls trip up the coast. It proved to be a wonderful pit stop for lunch, with delicious food for everyone (including vegan options for myself!). We grabbed one of their outdoor picnic tables and had a gorgeous, peaceful time along the water. I would definitely come back!Dietary restrictions: They had vegan cheese for pizzas and clearly labeled items on the menu!“

“We stop by here often when passing through Bodega Bay, and they always remember us and our orders. One warning is it's often a Holiday weekend when we go and both Dog House & Cap'n Davey's, the ice cream/coffee stand next door, are packed with long lines.So if you're passing by on a big weekend, leave plenty of time to get served!“

“This place is exceptional. The miso soup is usually an afterthought at many places, but it really shines here. We got a variety of rolls, including some daily specials (California roll topped with Eel was a stand out) and some standby rolls. The Carburetor roll, while not the most appetizing name is worth ordering. My favorite roll at any sushi restaurant is Salmon Skin, and this was probably the best I have had almost anywhere. Little bits of nicely seasoned belly meat and crispy skin were honestly the star and everyone at the table really liked it. The pink lady was the only roll that didn't rock me, but the quality of the tuna in there was undeniably good I had just never tried the soy wrap and I missed the seaweed flavor. All in all fantastic quality and price. Would recommend.Vegetarian options: Vegan rolls and specials abound with a few other options.Parking: Small on site lot, on street parking.Kid-friendliness: There were plenty of kids in there early. No kids menu, but they had some kid friendly rolls like fried chicken and veggie rolls.“

“The food here is amazing. Also the smoothies as well. Yes it's not cheap. But you are paying for quality not quantity. Customer service is very good. The location is good. Atmosphere is very nice. The two times I have gone here I have sat outside. First time was during Covid and the second time was last Saturday.“

“We had a very good time with great food on 3/31/24 5pm. Originally we were to be 7 on the reservation, but last minute cancellations left us with only 5. Restaurant didn't bat an eye and treated us well. A bit disappointed they couldn't serve alcohol due to an issue with the license. Starter salads were very tasty and loved the salad dressing too. A seafood hot pot was a huge quite delicious portion shared by 2. The prime rib special had just come out of the oven so my husband was pleased to get the end cut - lovely mix of well done and medium with the right amount of meat & fat. No room for dessert but offerings looked good. First time dining here but won't be the last. The veggie & regular burgers were good but more average. Fries were super!“

“Fabulous brunch! Four of us went for Mother's Day and we couldn't have been happier. The food was very good. Smoked salmon Benedict was loaded with salmon and had a nice lemony hollandaise; steak and eggs were cooked perfectly; the omelette was huge and the egg was so good (all yokes maybe). Service was impeccable and staff very friendly. This was our first time at Drake's but we will definitely go back and try dinner.“

“Simple roast chicken was the best I can remember in the last 20 years. My wife had pasta with clams, which were also memorable. Or waitress was Scarlett. She was very pleasant and patient and helpful. My Cabbage side dish was a little firm and slightly bitter but the sauce was excellent and paired well with chicken and I ended up eating every bite so I have to consider that a success too.“
