“This place rocks. No two ways about it. Walked in and the owner Shad immediately made us feel welcome. You can tell he really cares about his patrons and wants you to have a good time. The vibe is very cool; dollar bills stapled all over the place signed by past guests, free pool (gets competitive so bring your A-game), pizza at all hours, cold beer, good music and conversation. In an eclectic, off-beat place like Ocotillo Wells, what more could you ask for? We weren't sure what we were expecting walking in but it exceeded expectations. Would and will be coming back!”
“Tiny unassuming spot in Borrego springs- but it's fantastic! We just came for coffee, but ended up with (very affordable) quiche, egg bites, lemon bars, and bagels. All were served hot, delicious, and quickly. Quiche with mushrooms was savory and soft. Egg bite with mozzarella was crisp and the yolk oozed out wonderfully. My friend said it best: this is a little spot that knows what it can do, and sets about doing it excellently. Will return any time I'm in town.”
“Very pleasant and friendly service. The staff are smiling and seem happy. I think this is important when tired on the road and want to relax and have a cup of coffee! ☕️ ?One more thing: I forgot to mention the smoothies. It's something great! Minimal sugar and very refreshing! ??”
“Recently dined at the Fox Bistro for a birthday dinner and was so pleasantly surprised! Food was delicious and creative, including a lovely, complimentary birthday dessert! Service was friendly, competent and unhurried. Very happy we decided to celebrate there.”
“A hidden gem in Borrego Springs! Wonderful, unpretentious hangout with stunning views of the mountains. Both staff and customers are low-key and friendly. We had the Cesar salad and turkey chili, and both were tasty. Got lucky on a Saturday night and were treated to a live performance by Enter the Blue Sky trio.Very clean restaurant, bar, and bathrooms. Cool aviation murals and memorabilia. Not many of these small airport restaurants are still around, so it's especially good to support this local business.”
“Pit stop last minute after coming to see the bloom. Marina provided not only great advice and information. She had an amazing attitude and found my wallet that I dropped! The food was great topping it all off.”
“We found the best breakfast in Borrego Springs at Kendalls. We also had lunch there one day. My wife's club sandwich was amazing. My enchiladas were pretty good, but overall, the best was the #2 breakfast special. Loved it. The service was also great, especially the young fellow seating customers. He's on it, but everyone working there is great! Highly recommended!”
“This is a wonderful dining experience in Borrego. It is a little out-of-the-way from the main downtown area. They have inside and outside dining. They began the service with complementary champagne. I recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for more elegant setting for dinner.”
“We decided on take away so we could eat in our room across the street. College Basketball tonight. So a flatbread pizza to share and a glass of wine Both were great , but the pizza is a rectangle instead of round And the volume is less. Really just for one person. The supreme is still delish but Left us a bit hungry.”
“I've been here a few times. The outside patio is charming. Cadillac margarita served in pitchers really done well. The jalapeno mag is also great ?spicy but delicious. The food is authentic style and portions are a little more than average. Will be returning ?”
“This is the best lunch and service in Borrego Springs. Amazing view over the valley and the golf course. Beautiful club, interesting history of the golf course, has been revived and resurrected a couple of times. Very reasonable prices, lots of great sandwiches and salads.”
“We just love this restaurant from the being greeted with champagne to the pate with toasts and hot bread to the fixed menu which includes appetizer, Entree and dessert, but best of all is Ramon with his over the top charisma making each person feel so special. Love him and this special restaurant in the desert,”
“We were told to be cautious of eating here by a server at the place we tried to eat at across the way, but we risked it and we did not get sick in any shape or form. It's one of the cheaper places to eat at in this town. This combination plate was such a steal. My partner got just the burrito and they were very jealous of my combo plate because we essentially got the same size burrito but i also got the enchilada with beans and rice (he paid basically the same price for less). I did not finish the combination plate and ended eating the burrito the next day. Note: i did not eat the beans because i was worried about getting sick.”
“We're on our vacation and got dinner. I got the Chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. My parents got the steak Caesar salad and beef stroganoff. Everything was amazing and we're so coming back again on our next trip. The service was spot on and the ambiance was fun.”
“Excellent food! Went in after visiting Anza-Borrego and place was packed being lunch time. Took a little time for food but it was worth it. I had the club sandwich with fries that was really good. Everyone was surprised by the quality and enjoyed their meals”
“Great lunch, service was professional and courteous.Recommend for all three meals.Flower weekend - a good retreat from the "bloom viewers" and "circle crowd."”
“Fun little Mexican restaurant in Borrego Springs. Adriana made our stop quite memorable, with great recommendations followed with a charming humor, and exceptional service. We were blown away how she managed the entire inside restaurant with such ease, definitely a very hardworking individual. Would highly recommend this place.”
“We came here after a day hiking and off roaring in the desert. We came here around 5:30 p.m. and although we were seated fairly promptly, it took a really long time for someone to come take our order and then for us to get that food. However, our server, and from what we observed, the other servers were very kind and were definitely hustling to get orders placed and be attentive. This place does look new so I'm sure they are working through some kinks as it relates to flow. The food itself was good - nothing exceptional but it did make me slightly less bitter about the price (everything is at least $20). The gnocchi was good, as were the spaghetti and meatballs and pasta bolognese. The one dish that was not good was the lasagna. It came very sloppily assembled and the taste was a bit weird. Upon taking the first few bites, my child said, "I'll eat it, but I've had better." Overall, if we are out here again we would go back because it is a place with nice staff and a variety of food that isn't bad. Just be prepared for a wait.”

“Nice spot to ride to for breakfast or lunch. Small market inside with random food and stuff to buy. Great service plenty of parking in the front. Gets busy. Opens at 8am.”
