“Staff very nice and busy. Total wait time about 20 mins.I got a chicken poblano pie. Wished there was more poblano's or more of a spicy taste. I also got a bear claw and brownie for my husb and I ended up eating half the brownie because it was so good! Will definitely go again and try something else.”

“I've ridden past this place a handful of time and always wanted to stop. I finally got a chance to stop in and I was pleasantly surprised. Cool motorcycle bar and grill with great food and a decent selection of tap beers. The service was great. I'll be back without question.”

“Dudley's is a Santa Ysabel staple. All breads and pastries are made in house and sandwiches all made to order. It is always a great place to stop for lunch for sandwiches on the house made bread!”

My pictures are from up the hill from restaurant at the look out point.Kid-friendliness: The waiter was extremely kind to my kids and the animal mounts had them all excited.The large windows over sees the lake which my kids loved. “We accidentally stumbled on this spot by accident. However this was a pleasant surprise, the food was delicious and I don’t mean like it’s good delicious I mean it’s delicious ….delicious!!!I took a couple of my young friends over here and we all enjoyed our meals. I got the turkey sandwich which was big and tasty!Would go again and also the carrot cake was also a great addition to the end of our meal.Also the waitress which I forget her name was also very patient and kind.Thank you again for this wonderful food.”

“If your reading this review you are not a long time San Diego resident or you are in a social circle that doesn't ever leave the city. Julian pies is not really about the pies at all. It is one of those great multigenerational hipster field trip food institutions like Katz's Deli in New York. The idea is that you go for a drive with your lover or family on a lazy Saturday or Sunday in the mountains. The scenery is great, but if you're not into hiking there isn't much to do when your there, and if you do hike you will be hungry, so either way you grab a piece of pie. Apple pie is the thing because Julian has been an apple growing area and that means you are tasting "local flavor". The pies are yummy and very overpriced but that is because you are really buying "a real San Diego experience".”

“I cannot recommend this venue enough!! I had the honor of being apart of a wedding there and not only is this venue absolutely gorgeous but the team behind the scenes are outstanding! Ellie gave such a great tour of the venue and knew all of the answers to our questions and Sam the venue manager was there at the event the whole time making sure the day went flawlessly. They all went above and beyond our expectations. Great venue and an even better team that handled everything to perfection! I will be recommending this venue to everyone who is getting married!”

“Stopped in last weekend on our way to the desert. The vibe is laidback and the beers are amazing. We grabbed an assortment of 5 oz pours and headed outside to enjoy the rustic patio. Amazing brews and friendly staff made this the best choice especially when Julian is loaded with tourist and you want to enjoy great beers and conversations with friends and no crowds. This brewpub is where I imagine the locals hang out. I'll certainly be back next time I visit the area.”

“What a wonderful experience!! Great atmosphere. Our waitress, Michelle, was absolutely calming and amazing!! There were six (6) of us and she tended to us professionally. She checked on us regularly as well. This ramp though is hard to maneuver but it can be done”

“What a nice sunrise to find very good Mexican food in Julian. We shared the enchiladas and they were yummy. The guacamole was excellent. I’m so happy we found this place.”

“This place has a nice ambience . Spacious and they have games to play at the large tables . However the service has been very slow every time we have come. I feel like they should warn you about this when you come in. We waited over an hour the first time (granted, they were more busy that day) but today we also waited 45 minutes and they were almost empty when we came in. The food is hit or miss, some items are very good but others we weren't able to finish. I'd come back for a drink and treat if I had a couple hours to spare.”

“This barn has a very unique vibe to it. The owner is nice and the place is dog friendly. Ciders are on the sour side, we enjoyed the mulled cider. Overall a pleasant experience.”

“The hard truth is, all of our pie places make great pie, we know bc we are locals. But the Mom's in Wynola is their actual bakery, and the crowds can be a lot more manageable here than "up" in Julian. Anyway, we stopped in with some friends recently when it was very busy and they were all pro and very nice to everyone. Are pie there again today. Wicked pie.”

“Friendly services and food orders came quickly. Beer was excellent. Food was OK, Brisket and Steak sandwiches were excellent and very cheesey but the rack of pork ribs were a bit dry and the pulled pork sandwiches were too salty.”

“A fantastic place to spend your time, easy going and friendly people feel like you're at the Promise land, You feel like their syrah is made for you. Point blank the best syrah I've had. A wine you could drink barefoot sitting on the hood of a Dodge or with the sweet bells of mercy drifting through the evening trees.”

The taco stand was not open. Only Hard Coder and thrift shop. It's a really cool concept when open, though!”

“As a vegan, it's always hard to find really good plant-based food in small towns. Kalis Garden Cafe, here in Julian, is delicious! We split the Skillet Scramble and the avocado toast, which was well portioned and had enough to take home. The chai latte and the decaf americana were excellent! “It's becoming more rare to find restaurants that have great service and great food at reasonable prices. The Par lounge has both. Combined with a full bar and live music on specific days, this place has become my favorite place to visit. Highly recommend it.”

“We went to Julia in search of Apple Pie. This place was highly recommended by a local whose favorite was Carmel Pecan Apple pie. She also told us about the homemade cinnamon ice cream that they make. As much as I wanted to try the Carmel Pecan, I thought it might be too sweet with the ice cream. I went with Apple Crumble. It was a perfect pairing. My boyfriend had the traditional crust, also with ice cream.”
