“THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! When I thought my grandkids bday party would be ruined because my usually cookie person could not make the cookies last minute, Modern Bites stepped in and not only did they make some AMAZING cookies, they did so in less than 24 hours and gave me a few extra for free!!!! They did such an amazing job, everyone is still talking about how beautiful the cookies were and very tasty. Thank you from the bottom of my !!!!“
“Best coffee shop service around! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Love the menu layout here which changes monthly/seasonally, including a sugar free menu. Fast service and drinks always come out perfect. They also sell some local items which have a few seasonal products mixed in. If ya want to relax while enjoying your beverage, the cute patio is just the place.“
“Stopped in for lunch the other day and got the Tuna Sandwich, it's a cute little shop with kitchen and food odds and ends. I would give the tuna a 9/10. Customer service was great, and food was ready in a timely manner, if you need something really quick I would call ahead.“
“I wish I could give this place 10 stars! Just an incredible experience. The owner, Sam, was a delight from the start. As first timers, we had no idea what to order and were a bit overwhelmed with the gigantic menu! Sam and his wife Fabiola were extremely patient, breaking down each of the dishes and recommending his favorite dishes. Ultimately we went with the zaatar wrap.“It’s big,” Sam warned us with a smile.“I think i’ll be ok and can finish it,” I laughed.Boy was I wrong, LOL. The zaatar wrap is MASSIVE. I could only manage half of it, and I was starving. And it was only $13! I’ve had smaller sandwiches in LA for 16. It’s the best deal ever! After our very yummy and generous meal, Sam approached us and asked if we would like some coffee? on the house! He flavored it with cardamom, which is supposedly great for digestion. Was so happy that he gave us coffee at the end! It was delicious and the perfect end to a large satisfying meal. Will be customers for life!“
“While you may love them for pastries, cakes or deli style sandwiches, I need to tell you about their salads! Just wow! Stopped by for a chicken salad & received the most delicious salad ever. Freshly grilled chicken over a bed of crisp romaine lettuce, accompanied by some bell pepper, red onion, tomato, olives & feta cheese. Give them a try for whatever your craving may be. Phone in for faster service. The owner & his son are always happy to greet you. The girls working there are very sweet & helpful.Probably one of the best establishments Burbank has to offer.Your Homegirl,Violy“
“Wanted a non-chain savory breakfast and Miracle Bakery popped up. Super nice owner has a sparkling clean, adorable corner bakery across from my motel. I ordered a breakfast sandwich (egg, cheese, lettuce, avocado) with brewed coffee for $10. Can't beat the taste, quality or service.Vegetarian options: Ordered the breakfast sandwich, very good, just skip meat. There are a couple other choices.“
“So many options! Rotating ice cream flavors, pies, ice cream “tacos,” cookies to make into ice cream sandwiches. And all made in-house. The person working there was really genuine and passionate about the shop which made the experience even more pleasant.Only downside is no samples allowed. I had the cookies & cream one and it was a tiny bit icy but good overall.“
“Tasty by Tina is delicious! These toasts will knock your socks off and Tina’s pairing recommendations are fabulous as well. Don’t miss out on trying her churro crisps with a scoop of ice cream or making a tasty snack with everything crisps and a tapenade! An extra shout out for the garlic Parmesan toasts, my favorite, for being the perfect meal complement, snack, and treat!“
“Bread is off the charts no doubt about it. I truly appreciate what it takes to make such a quality bread. People were so kind and amazing. My only thought was at $16 a loaf thats over a $1 a slice if Im lucky. Hate to say this but I wouldnt go back. Even though I loved it. Thats the most I have ever spent on bread. But if you have the money then this is the place.“
“This is a takeout donut place. They're donuts are not overly sweet and are baked fresh throughout the day. I took some to my office in Oxnard and one of the employees recognized the box and said she drives many miles just to get donuts at this location. They even have blueberry donuts, which I understand is rare. The prices are super reasonable, the donuts are fresh and not overly sweet and I can't recommend this place enough.“
“We stopped to grab a bite to eat at the New Buenos Aires Bakery and Cafe. We met the owner's son Gonzalo and he is a very personable young man. He told me that the bakery has been open for 10 years in this Burbank location, but the majority of their business is catering and as a bakery. They bake breads & such for the Gaucho Grill and several other restaurants. We ordered beef, chicken and spinach empanadas. Mom has never had Argentinian food that she knows of, so the seasonings were foreign to her. She found the taste of the beef. Empanada to be much more her liking than the others. Which makes sense since Argentina is known for their beef production. In Hawaii, eating canned corned beef is very common and most of it comes from Argentina. I ordered the sandwich with chorizo. It was Argentinian chorizo which is very similar to the Spanish and Portuguese chorizo that we eat in Hawaii. It's firm and in a sausage form not in the loose fatty form that the Mexican chorizo comes in. The bread was crispy and it had some chimichurri sauce and I doused it with even more sauce and enjoyed every bite. We washed it down with inca çola- my favorite Peruvian beverage. At the end of the meal, Gonzalo came to thank us for visiting and to see if there was anything else we needed. Several customers had come in and I was asking him what they were getting so he said pastry. This afternoon they had dulce de leche and custard. I told him that the custard sounded interested and I would order one after I finished packing up our leftovers. I was so surprised when he brought over two free custard pastries for us and he thanked us for coming by.How wonderful to be able to support small businesses that are doing their best to make it in a new country and in this economy. Kudos to this hard-working and sweet family.“
“We had a rush delivery to go out to the local area. We were not familiar with Aunt Joy's but saw the great recommendations online. Sure enough, a simple and quick phone calls guided us through what our order should be and was delivered very promptly. We will definitely be calling again.“
“Good ol' Dad's. Reliable, Friendly, Cheap. Dad's Donuts is a great place to grab very delicious, freshly made donuts and coffee without all the frills and fuss of other "fancy" (and often overpriced and overhyped) donut establishments. Family-owned and very friendly, nearly all of the donuts are under $2. Don't be shy about asking which one(s) are the freshest and warmest - Dad's will tell no lies. On this particular visit, I grabbed a maple bar and a glazed old fashioned along with a freshly brewed small coffee - all for under $6. A couple of tables inside and out, a fairly small parking lot and no bathroom privileges. But this is mostly a grab and go place - Dad's wants you to get your sugar intake and go back outside to play. Check out one of the donut institutions in Burbank - Dad's will always be in the conversation.“
“Located on the first floor building shared with medical offices next to the Lakeside Urgent care. Convenient to grab some coffee, juices, water, snacks, pre-made sandwiches... I needed my afternoon coffee stat and this place came thru. Friendly staff and coffee was good.“
“Sonig made a the process of choosing a cake so easy. We finalized everything in two calls! She has experience which is an important thing to look for when booking your event vendors. The cake turned out so beautiful and it tasted delicious. Listen to her suggestions and go with them because she knows best! Thank you Sonig Jan“
“Absolutely delicious coffee roasted right down the street and wonderful food made on site each morning. It smells wonderful before even walking in. I got the mushroom sandwich and it was such a great touch to have the arugula dressed with a vinaigrette... I'll be trying this upgrade when I make a sandwich next time! I also got their in house dirty chai which was fantastic and a cold brew. 10's across the board. Super kind people, and comfortable environment with cute bistro tables outside too! Dog bowl for water outside as well :)“
“I ordered a wedding cake for my nephew and his bride. I had a wonderful experience coordinating everything with Christina, she was always available either in person or email to answer any question I had. We were able to try different cupcakes in advance makeing it easy to choose our favorite flavor. Not only was the wedding cake beautiful and exactly what we ordered, but it was delicious too. Needless to say the bride and groom were extremely happy with it. I will definitely buy a cake from here in the future!“
“I enjoyed my experience there. I beat the morning rush and received the best care from the staff. I mentioned hosting an open mic and they seemed open to the idea. The coffee I had was tasteful and great quality. I live in Pomona but I will be back soon!“
