“After driving past here a zillion times, I finally decided to give it a try on Easter. They were open until 5:30pm and this girl did not want to make baklava to go with our Middle Eastern feast.The gal who helped me was very nice and let me know which tray was the most popular. She also offered me a sample to try. It was so fresh and delicious!I bought a 36 piece variety of pistachios and walnut baklava. It was around $39. Each pound costs $17. Well worth it. My family devoured it! And I still had a few pieces left to enjoy at home.*Plenty of free parking in the lot. Just west of Cold Water Canyon on the North west corner of Sherman Way.*Great for parties of any kind*Absolutely fresh and stays that was for days!“
“I have been coming here for over 20 years but somehow I never wrote a review on it. This bakery is know for their daily fresh bread. They make matnakash, Barbari and other breads for our community. They also sell lavash, pita and pastries. I used to buy their raisins bread a lot, it's so good. I stopped since I started making them myself. I mostly shop here for breads or lahmajun and sometimes byoreks and perashki. The parking here at this plaza is horrible and customer service is a hit or a miss ever since I can remember. Overall a great place to shop for freshly baked goods.“

In the evening of November 20th I just entered to the bakery, the cashier was on her phone talking too long, I had to interrupt her to talk to her, then she just answered us very impolitely. I would suggest you just be happy, it will pass my dears!! Only the good attitude will bring you happy costumers again!“
“Unbelievable how hard-working they are here! They are open 24 seven which is just unheard of. Prices are beyond fair, I am a huge fan of their spinach pocket which tastes just like a calzone and only costs $2! I will be back to stock up on those, because they freeze and reheat easily. They're lavash bread is delicious as well as their sweet treats. Service is wonderful, so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend supporting a local business as hard-working as this one!“
“I called on a Friday and did an order for a cake for about 15-20 people; that I needed for Sunday. My son is turning five. So I asked for a CINCO DE MAYO themed cake OR more like a Mexican fiesta cake.. I asked fortres leches cake with strawberries inside and let me tell you guys they did not let down!! Wow it was so moist and it's not too sweet but it's not to blande either. It's just the right sweetness! This is a hidden gem in the San Fernando Valley. I will be going for their cakes more often now because I actually enjoyed them and so did my family.“
“I go here whenever I want to introduce folks to international baked goods. Those peaches they have there are short bread filled with cream and they are worth every penny. It is very clear to me that the lead baker there puts a lot of effort into making an excellent presentation along with a delicious pastry. “One of my son's students gave him a box of Nellie's bakery items, he shared some with us, and we have gone back ever since. Great quality, freshness, and flavor in a small specialty bakery. Their staff are hard working and respond to orders quickly even when the place is full to bursting. Even when super busy, there is a sense of community there, so I find myself buying sweet and savory items I have never tried before. Highly recommend but plan on parking and walking if you are in a hurry, though the staff do Herculean work to manage their small parking lot.“
