“Great place, great prices, great food and great drinks. New favorite for me. I’m not a big fan of loud bars or restaurants as I prefer having a conversation without screaming. So my experience here was a breath of fresh air as it was nice and quiet with background music being just that… background music. Not trying to make your ears bleed like most places these days hahaha.“

“This pub feels like home. From the first time we stopped in we always meet new people and have no problem finding a conversation with the locals or one of the great bartenders. We’ve become regulars ourselves now and rarely miss a week to go stop in for a pint and a meal with our bar friends, new and old. There is also live music in the evenings, but we prefer talking to the patrons.Parking: Several free parking spots in the back, including one handicapped space.“

Plenty to choose from.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level entry. Shouldn't be a problem getting in and out. Parking is on the street and iffy. We had to park 3 blocks away.“

Frolic Room Cocktail Bar • $$
6245 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles

“You arrived from your hotel via walking, rental car, Uber/Lyft, taxi, bus , subway (across street). You walk in off the iconic " Hollywood Blvd." Just 100 feet away from famous intersection Hollywood Blvd. & Vine St.. Vibe is old school. Early Hollywood golden era, historical, established, exciting, positive, confident, fun, dive-bar-ish, and functional as you receive great drinks. Don't be shy and if the music on the juke box is or isn't playing your type of music make sure you get over there and find at least 1 that is & it will come on after any others before play. Don't worry cus everyone is different in Hollywood. Tight & at times you may literally be rubbing elbows w/locals,celebrities & or other tourists. Great drinks to enjoy as you take it all in. go back out to the Blvd. Take a deep breath look at all the activity going on. Look 10 feet to your left. That's the historic Pantages Theater known for its glamorous design and offering top-tier talent & a wide variety of entertainment for you. Can anyone say early dinner, drinks & awesome entertainment. In the end, a bar is a bar, so have a great experience. Enjoy, maybe take a couple of ?. You can thank me later ? lol.Parking: Locate Frolic Room & you may get lucky & get a spot right in front but circle around that block.Usually parking opposite side of block.“

The Fifth Bar • $
4821 Whitsett Ave, Valley Village

“One of my favorite watering holes in the valley. They have a pool table and a happy hour special where you can get a shot of patron and a beer for less than $10. Definitely a locals bar but not the type that makes you feel like a n*** if you're not a regular. Bartenders are what you'd want, attentive to all customers and know their regulars. No frills here, just good people leaving the worries of the world at door and having a cocktail.“

Power House Bar Dive Bar • $$
1714 N Highland Ave, Los Angeles

“Really cool spot on the corner of Hollywood and highland. Prices on drinks are decent. The bartenders are cool. They have a menu inside that the Asian restaurant next door will bring you. There's a back patio which is cool cause you can smoke bud out back. There's a couple day boards two that you just ask for darts. Most days off went in there has been chill. Some evenings it does get packed. If you want to be somewhere in Hollywood and not be packed in a place that's a nice vibe for that while being right there in the mix of everything.“

“Pool here was such an event, so fun. Micheal the bar tender and manager, was amazing, so helpful and incredibly nice! However, the music was odd, it was good music but I couldn't make any requests or recommendations, anything about the music was a non negotiable, which was Strange in my opinion. Other than that, it was very fun. A lot of drink options.“

Residuals Tavern Irish Pub • $
11042 Ventura Blvd, Studio City

“I came here after an assistant director told me about it. After Mother's Day I decided it was time for mother's night. I hit up residuals lone wolfing it. I was quick to befriend a comedian who informed me that the White Russian drinks they make are good. Their prices are extremely reasonable compared to most bars in LA. Tip if you have a residual check for under a dollar you get a free drink. Make some friends with old people. I met a variety of different interesting characters. WARNING: This is a bar where people can actually sing during karaoke.“

The Rattler Bar • $
7803 Foothill Blvd, Sunland-Tujunga

“I'm not one to go to bars often, because of the rude bartenders and unwelcome stares from people. So when I say that I love coming to this bar, that means something. It's a comfortable dive bar, with a pool table and a Touch Tunes jukebox. I only like going to this place on Sunday and Monday nights when Donelle is working. Hands down the best bartender ever. She creates a super welcoming, unbiased vibe and always plays the best music. She really cares about her customers and makes great drinks. I really hope she continues to work there. It wouldn't be worth going without Donelle there.“
