Restaurantji's Burbank picks for the finest Mexican cuisine.
“Environment, food, & service was all incredibly amazing. All the food was delicious, especially the cafe de olla!! Would recommend this place for anyone wanting some delicious breakfast/food. They have a wide range of choices and options. Isaac (the owner) was very friendly and inviting. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! My family and I will definitely be coming back when we are back in California.“
“Super cute restaurant good luck finding parking though. I was lucky and got there as someone was leaving. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very comfortable. We got the tacos al pastor and they were delicious, so much flavor. The enchiladas were delicious too, I just didn’t really like the rice but I’m picky with Mexican rice. Can’t wait to visit again and try something else on the menu! Oh! And the chips and salsa were fresh! My mom loved the salsa and she’s usually picky too lol“
“Tacos are delicious. Love the options they have. I will suggest getting the sampler order to see which tacos you like the most. All their tacos are really good, but my favorite is chicharron, bistek en salsa roja, calabacitas, and chile relleno. The agua fresca de melon is really good, too. Don't forget to request salsa on the side. It is really good and spicy.“
“Had a birria wet burrito that was fantastic. Good portion, great meat with very little fat. Also had a hard shell asada taco that was great. The best part was the salsa - both different from the standard taco shop places and both were 10/10. I would buy a big container for the home of both. The green was thin, smokey, a little sweet and a lot of cumin taste - so good. I love spicy and the red was very very spicy but didn't sacrifice any flavor to get there. Go here, keep this local family business growing - it's a gem.“
“This little shop is cozy, the staffing is friendly, and the food is delicious.Parking: The parking lot is shared with the motel next door, but there's plenty of parking to choose from. Most of the time, the street parking right outfront in empty as well.“
“To whom it may concern, this was first visit and I can only speak for myself. Your staff were friendly and made me feel welcome, also the food was delicious. served fresh and hot. The two ladies behind the register were great and help me with their suggestions on the menu. Believe me I will return. Just moved from Southern Texas I recommend this restaurant. I will see you ladies and the rest of the staff soon.“
“I needed a place to eat near St. Josephs Hospital. I found this restaurant where they were very friendly and the food was tasty and, above all, very abundant. The tortilla chips as a starter were complimentary, I ordered a lemonade and an asada burrito and rolled out of there.“
“Best breakfast burrito I've ever had! I'm a California native & a connoisseur of breakfast burritos. The "Antojito" has refried black beans & the lightest crispy hash browns! If you want a mountain of bacon, go to Lucky Boy in Pasadena. I will be at Antojitos where the balance is perfect! Great green salsa too!The Cafe de Olla is great! That's coffee brewed with extras like cinnamon, orange, & pilloncillo (brown sugar cane). Delicious“
“I used to come to this location when it was Cody's Viva Cantina. It was a great spot for live music 7 days a week. Celia's isn't currently a place for live music but the food is quite good and a good option for a weekday lunch when everything else is crowded. A sound check was going on for karaoke later in the week. I had the Cochinita Pibil, Yucatan style pulled pork with rice and beans. The rice and beans left much to be desired but the pork was excellent. I also liked the tortillas and chips which I assume had to have been home-made. I look forward to trying more dishes and am glad to have found a good restaurant that isn't overwhelmed during the lunch hour.“
“Came here during the dinner rush and had to wait a little bit for a table, which makes sense on a Saturday night. Overall, the service was fine, but it was nothing spectacular. The restaurant is decorated nicely and has a typical vibe of any Mexican spot in LA. I got the Pomegranate Paloma and the Lobster Burrito, and both were amazing!“
“It was a great family experience and the food was great. I had the taco and enchilada with a couple shots of tequila and a beer. We ordered and shared some other dishes such as a chicken burrito, which was also delicious. The staff were helpful and professional and the restaurant was clean. It’s a big restaurant so there’s plenty of parking.“
“Everything we've had here has been solid! Can't remember what all I've had. Probably due to the bomb happy hour they have. Don't judge me, I've also been there during a Sunday dinner with the whole family..hahaha. From the tacos to burritos to any thing they offer has been hot, fresh and has great taste. Service is great, attentive, fast, and Johnny on the spot when you need something. Always a yes when wife says, MEXICAN? Umm yeah! Duh!“
“Small restaurant serving Mexican food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Typical fare of burritos and tacos. Enjoyed the breakfast burrito which we split between the two of us. Definitely was sufficient to satisfy both our appetites. Prices are pretty reasonable and the food is delicious. Seems mostly like a carry out place although they do have a number of tables inside. No outdoor seating and parking is in a lot shared by several stores“
“I was pretty impressed by the little restaurant hub found here in what would otherwise be a massive strip mall. Sharkey’s was a no brainer visit after trying it on another California trip. I couldn’t believe how big a “side” of tortilla chips was - I ended up eating it for days. Good meal, and liked that they had a tofu option.“
“In the tortilla paradise that characterizes LA‘s south-of-the-border food scene, hungry diners are left with many choices. Somewhere between the crowded gringo-magnet margarita cantinas, and the treasurable family-owned hole in the walls where immigrants are striving to cultivate their native pride, every once in a while we are blessed that true food magic occasionally does happen. Upon this crowded stage of opportunity, Alfredo‘s in Burbank emerges as the real deal. Boasting San Diego style food in Los Angeles, it’s made-to-order fast food constantly delivers quality. An attentive kitchen staff can be seen constantly slicing up fresh meats and vegetables and making their own salsas. The sounds of knives chopping against cutting boards ring like music across the dining tables in the lobby during mornings. Freshly made orders are then promptly and properly assembled while busy customers are often out the door within minutes.Having lived in San Diego myself at various times over the past fifty years, and missing its bountifully meaty burritos, I have learned that San Diego style Mexican food is an “it.” It is a “thing.” And Alfredo's has it. The carne asada is lean and generously stuffed into warm tortillas that ooze with the comfort of home. Their seafood burrito offers chunks of deep-fried fish with cabbage and a creamy sauce that simply confounds the taste buds. Crunchy and soft tacos also headline the menu and can be filled with carnitas and chicken, as well as beef. And the taquitos crunch in heavenly bliss as the warm beef in the center emerges to massage the tongue. Breakfast burritos come with machaca and chorizo steaming inside huge warm tortillas. The machaca is made with real shredded beef marinated in green peppers and onions. The chorizo burritos burst with the spiciness that characterizes this Mexican specialty. Accents include freshly made sauces and servings of spicy carrots marinated and softened in jalapeños and onion juices. Corn chips are freshly homemade, crunchy and mildly salted. Customers more glutinous than I are fond of ordering their chili relleno plates, as well as nacho platters doused in cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. And I constantly see the taco platters that look like large crescent ships bursting with cheese and sour cream while sailing upon seas of rice and beans.Another part of the success of Alfredo's is customer service. Behind the counter often stands Griselda, the quietly charismatic “mama,” whose gentle, affectionate aura subtly intones the connection between serving food and caring for people. She greets her customers with prompt efficiency and sees to it that every detail of every request is fulfilled quickly and supportively, while somehow always keeping her calm among throngs of demanding customers. And Griselda’s example shows in the service of other team members, who are also attentive to patron needs. As a regular, I’ve come to enjoy conversations with other customers that have had similar long-term relationships with Alfredo’s. The longevity of Alfredo’s in LA’s crowded Mexican food scene is testimony enough in itself. The streams of frequent customers and patrons of many ethnic backgrounds are a strong and resounding vote for the quality of this special little gem at the intersection of San Fernando and Burbank Boulevard. Architecturally, the building is shaped half like a taco stand, and half like a restaurant. Perhaps this metaphorically summarizes Alfredo’s special balance between fast food made-to-order and the quality of restaurant food prepared from scratch. And this is part of the magic that makes Alfredo's the “little taco stand that could.” I tell friends from all over the city that whenever they’re in Burbank that they should stop by Alfredo’s for a taste of Mexican comfort. For while there may be some things in life that will occasionally disappoint us - Mexican food never will. And Alfredo's is one of the reasons. Alfredo's is a star in tortilla heaven!“
“Stopped here on a whim and was blown away by what they did with a simple chicken chimichanga. Honestly one of the best I've ever had. Salsa was nice and fresh and the red sauce had a good bit of flavor to go with its spice. Would love to go here soon in the near future.“
“I cannot believe how delicious this place is, their lomo saltado is 100% worth it! And their green crack sauce is so addicting, delicious!! Super friendly service and they always explain the menu, and specials of the day to you!Parking: Parking is safe and easy to accessKid-friendliness: High chairs for the kids.“
“Enjoy this place. The food is delicious and you get a good food portions. The happy hr and brunch hrs are great as well. They no longer offer bottomless mimosas but they offer them by the glass or by the bottle $18 per bottle to be exact and you get two juice options. The service and ambience is welcoming. It's clean and you are treated as soon as you walk in. The hrs need to be updated on Yelp (already submitted the request) as this Sunday we got there at 11 thinking it was opened but they changed the open time to 11:30am. So just know this change before going there in the morning. Highly recommend to give it a try!“

“The restaurant was very kind to my friends and I. They kindly allowed us to park our ebikes inside so we felt less stressed about them being stolen. It was a quiet afternoon otherwise we would never have asked. The food was 10/10 and the service was fantastic. The staff are all friendly and attentive. We will be back very soon & we will bring more of our friends to your wonderful establishment! Thank you again!“
“It's a tiny whole in the wall, stopped for dinner only because of the name. Prices are super high to me, for the amount of food that you get. A soda is $5.50. ?Cute Menus, they also had a QR for the menu. Should've looked at the prices before I ordered. $70 for 2 people. Never again. Sorry Not sorry.“
