This is a nice small airport. I love that the car rental is inside the airport, only a short walk to the counters. Love being greeted by sun on the tarmac (I'm from Seattle, where it's always gray). Love that check in and security is quick, although security appears to open at various times. I checked in at 830 for my 1130 flight. I had to wait until 9 to go through security. The lady that checked my daughter's bag was nice when approaching up about shampoo not being allowed....read full review

Because I describe myself as a foodie, coffee-addict, and world traveler #wanderlust, I make sure to fly at least once every two years and post on social media when I do. When I do fly, I could fly out of LAX because tickets are generally cheaper, and I can fly internationally. However, 1. I have no desire to fly internationally, and 2. I LAX is too crowded. Ok, so not sure how many people checkout reviews for airports but I just wanted to make it known... this is my second favorite airport, only behind Long Beach. It's small, efficient, and less crowded than LAX and if I have to pay a little extra to fly out of here instead of dealing with LAX, I will do so! Follow my example, do the same if you can!
