Yakumi is one of my go-to sushi spots in the valley! Their sushi always tastes extremely fresh, service is very fast and friendly, and there's always plenty of seating inside and outside. I got the Yakumi box with seaweed salad, spicy salmon roll, and baked crab roll. I also got an order of Hanabi (spicy tuna with crispy rice). The highlights of the meal are definitely the baked crab hand roll and the salmon nigiri with truffle soy sauce. Insider tip: ask to add crispy onions in the baked crab roll! I've been to Yakumi several times, this most recent visit the rice didn't stick very well to the salmon roll, as well as the pieces of nigiri. The rice kept separating when dipped in soy sauce, however it still was tasty. Yakumi is a great choice for a casual yet delicious sushi spot.

Was in the area and decided to stop to try some sushi. Menu was pretty straightforward and standard. They have a selection of sushi/rolls and combination plates. You have to order prior to being seated. Sushi was good and the prices were great. Will definitely be coming back.

Made a last min decision to come here with friends and so glad we did! Located on a corner on Riverside, this intimate sushi spot was a great find! The interior was clean and featured lots of wood. Big murals of the details of fighting fish covered the back wall. They have a to-go section of the restaurant, so keep that in mind next time you're on the go. We were seated right away, but missed happy hour by a few minutes (3-6 PM during the week). That being said, the prices are VERY reasonable even without the HH pricing, considering the prices you see at sushi spots these days. Our server, Tim, was wonderful and super friendly. The menu had combos of varying sushi/roll choices/sizes. I ordered The Studio Box, which included the Crunchy Roll; the Spicy Tuna Roll; Baked Crab Roll; and edamame. Everything was delicious but the Baked Crab Roll was a sneaky favorite - simple yet super flavorful. The hot sake was also a great choice for a chilly evening. They've got literally 4 parking spots allotted for the restaurant, so you're likely going to need to find street parking nearby.

Was quick and easy, quality was ok. Good for fast food sushi. The veggies in veggie roll werent great- had an awkward texture. I liked the price point. You can try several rolls since arch order is only four pieces. I wouldn't recommend sushi or sashimi, not that quality fish

Would help if there were pictures of the rolls on the menu. But try everything. Good quality and service.

Had dinner tonight at Yakuni, it was our first time there. Food was so fresh and tasty. We had Eric as our server, he was wonderful, gave great recommendations, was very attentive, and was very nice. They have outdoor seating and it was a great night to sit outside. Parking is a bit difficult, but worth it. Will return again.

High prices and small portions. The sushi is drenched in sauce to mask sub bar fish/rice. Save your money or go to sugar fish for far better quality at the same price.

I just moved to the area and was very excited to try this place. I ordered the yakumi combination and told the waitress I have a gluten allergy and to please not put any sauce or toppings on my sushi regardless if they're gluten free or not. When my food came it looked okay so I took a bite of the yellowtail sushi only to find the entire bottom of the plate and all the nigiri had sauce on them that looked like soy sauce which I cannot eat. I sent it back and kindly reminded them that I asked for no sauce so they took the food back and replaced it ONLY TO CHARGE US $7 FOR THE 1 PIECE OF SUSHI I ACCIDENTALLY ATE. They said because I ate the piece of fish they had to charge us and I explained I made it very clear when I ordered I did not want any sauce on my sushi because of my allergy. I've had my allergy for about 10 years and not once have I had an experience like this with such a careless staff who didn't even apologize for their mistake.

Horrible experience ordering online, kept the door dash driver waiting over an hour and does not have a functioning phone number to speak to them. Had to cancel after waiting 2 hrs.

Such a great sushi joint! Amazing service, yummy cocktails and the sushi was very fresh and tasty. Much better experience than other places in town. I look forward to coming back and trying their weekly happy hour from 3-6

Met with a friend to have lunch on a rainy Sunday, which meant attentive service and no issues with parking. Menu is basic and straightforward with the usual tuna, salmon, yellowtail, albacore, etc. You won't find an endless combo of rolls or different types of seafood like eel or sea urchin. Ordered the Yakumi plus and a side of the yellow tail crispy rice. We met mainly to catch up on life so this was the perfect meal to have for the occasion.

Ordered 40 min ahead online, showed up only to be told that they were backed up but food should be ready in 20 min. 20 min later no food, and they hadn't even started the food. I would have appreciated had they just not taken my order if they weren't going to have it ready and not have me wait around when I could've at least ordered elsewhere. Just stay away from ordering here during busy days.

Took my mom out to lunch earlier today. I had this place bookmarked for a while now and ended up dining here for lunch. The host that greeted us said that they don't have table service til 3 pm so we prepaid for our lunch and took a seat. A few minutes later our food arrived all at once. Not what I'm used to at a sushi restaurant. I ordered the Yakumi Plus box and added two more rolls (which are cut in 4 pieces) and a Hanabi (crispy rice with spicy tuna on top ) ... the cashier said it should be enough for two but honestly I could have eaten more but really didn't feel like going back and ordering more at the register. It kind of kills the vibe, I rather order at the table until I'm full. We paid over $70 for this meal. It's a bit pricey for the portions we got but the freshness and the taste of the sushi rolls made up for that. I can tell they use really good quality fish so the price seems fair. We really enjoyed the food here. Now I have an idea how the portions here are so next time I'll order more. Customer service was great.

the service we received at Yakumi in burbank was AMAZING! Steven made us feel so welcome and was very knowledgeable on what sauces to pair with the rolls. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! 10/10

Good service. Good quality. Ambiance is unmemorable. The price per two sushi pieces per ambiance is fine for some but not me. I can't help but think what I can get elsewhere.
