“Yan gon is a family own Burmese restaurant on broadway Burlingame. The owner and the entire staff were extremely friendly , attentive , courteous . helpful, and welcoming . Their dishes are delicious . I have tried their Burmese Style Curry Lamb , Singapore Street noodles, Deep fried Chicken Wings , and Wor Wonton Soup. All four dishes were delicious, but my favorite is the won ton soup . This soup is perfect , it's so healthy and brothy. The broth is so rich that left a long lasting mouthwatering and coating sensation lingering in my tongue. The wontons are so tasty , juicy , and flavorful with the right amount of , I believe was pork , ginger , garlic ,chopped onions , sugar, salt , pepper , and shrimps . . The shrimps were very tastey and fresh . It didn't have that strange scent of ammonia or fishy smell like spoiled shrimps . The restaurant is simple , bright , clean , casual ambience with ample seatings. I have been here many times and got seated right away. No wait . This restaurant is a must try if you have the craving for Burmese food or just want to try something new.“

“The photos look legit. Rating was high and I'm in the mood for some ABC style chow mein (the thick round noodle).
The chicken chow mein was not bad. Tons of wok air. I liked the fact that it has lots of vegetables. Decent size noodle. Only thing is, it's a bit too salty and has a little bit of bitter after taste. 澀味. I suspect it's the soy sauce? Could be the salt. Or overcooked soy sauce. Otherwise, it's pretty good.“

“Cozy, family-owned Chinese restaurant located in old downtown Burlingame. The Mongolian beef and general chicken were both well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. Friendly and efficient service. Not a lot of street parking spots, but there are several parking lots within a 5-minute walk.“

“All the food is fresh, and choosing what's in season makes it even tastier. For larger groups, the big round tables come with the added bonus of individual hot pots built right into the table. It's easier to order dishes when you have a bigger group here ( 3+ people)“

“Sat by the window on a high chair while having lunch here. The place is busy—you can hear the constant beeping from the ordering machines (kind of like airport scanners) along with the sound of food being tossed in the wok. There’s usually a queue, but it moves quickly.
Ordering is simple, though it would be better if the menu wall faced the entrance—you have to step to the side to read it. It’s a solid budget meal option. Most customers order to-go, with only a few dining in.
The restaurant is clean, with upbeat music, and the self-service counter is well organized. It feels safe to dine alone. There are two restrooms with a code; both are spacious and well maintained.“

“Came and found parking around the block. Put our names on the Yelp waitlist and seated in about 15 minutes. Despite how busy it was, the tables did not feel crowded. After scanning the QR code and placing the order, food came out pretty quickly and stayed warm ish on the metal plate in the center of the table powered by 5 tea lights. The stinky tofu came out first and luckily the smell did not linger. We were surprised at how affordable it was. The food did end up over lapping but the flavor profile is more or less the same.“

“Great food!
Super lovely owners.
I wish they would tent & put the sauce on the side of the prawns and squash when ordering togo.
Although delicious, soggy when the get home.
Dining in is pretty standard.
Brightly lit florescent lights with close seating.
If they have a home made jar of hot chili oil for sale, do yourself a favor and pick up a jar...
DELICIOUS!!!“

“Very unusual and delicious dumplings. I don’t live in the bay so I was strangely close to the two tables on either side. The service was OK, but they seemed to lose track of us for a short time.
But the flavours were very good and the portions large.“

“I was blown away by the balance of flavors. The Dan Dan Noodles were spicy yet nutty, while the General Tso’s Chicken was perfectly crispy with a touch of sweetness. The Mapo Tofu was creamy with a spicy finish that made the meal unforgettable.“

“Mala Town was absolutely amazing. The selection felt incredibly authentic—just like the mala tang I’ve had in China—and it honestly brought me back home. The service was outstanding, and the staff created such a warm, friendly atmosphere. I ordered the signature bone broth, and it was savory, rich, and full of flavor. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone craving a true mala tang experience.“

“Just found out Serramonte Center has Yang Guo Fu in the food court 😂 Perfect spot for a hot bowl of malatang on a foggy Daly City lunch break. $14.99/lb with fresh veggies, meats, and three soup bases (beef bone, tomato, spicy dry). Loved the beef & lamb rolls, mushrooms, lotus root, and konjac for a lighter option. Their red oil wontons ($5.99) are freshly made and so tasty—can’t wait to try the dim sum they’re adding soon!“

“We ordered this via Doordash on a whim because we were craving it.
The jajjangmyeon was one of the best that I had =)
The jjamppong was very unique with half a crab included. It was delicious, but a bit too spicy for me.
We can't give a comment on service/atmosphere but we were very satisfied with our meal. Definitely would visit again in store to try it fresh on the spot!!“

“My second visit at this restaurant. First visit was during pandemic when they just opened for to go order. This time I came for dinner while waiting for my tires get fixed. It was not busy when I arrived. You can check the menu with QR code but you have to order with the server.
As there are plenty authentic chinese dishes on the menu I couldn't decide which one to order, I finally ordered Changsa noodle and chili fried chicken.
The food was ready pretty quickly. One thing I didn't pay attention while ordering was the chili fried Chicken. I expected to be dark meat and it was white meat whichbis very uncommon on this type of dish as I had this dish at many restaurants and all served with dark meat. I didn't pay attention to the description of the dish. It was good but I prefer dark meat.
The Changsa noodle is unique as it is cooked with a lot of egg, jalapeno and black bean. It was yummy but I feel the egg overpowering the noodle.
At last about gratuity. It mentions we don't need to tip but 18% is included which is a tip. It is very misleading information. If customer doesn't need to tip then 18% mandatory charge should not be enforced. Service was just ok.
When we about to leave the restaurant was almost full which is a good sign.
Overall food is good as it 4 stars but 18% mandatory gratuity will make me reconsider if I will be back for eat in.“

“I travelled from Riverside County to come eat at this restaurant and have heard such great reviews about it from my relatives and friends who live all the way in China! It was worth the drive and we will definitely be back again. Each dish is unique and they also have gluten free options as well as requested options. (My f5 year old is Gluten free). The bamboo and mushroom dish had a hint of sweetness with an undertone of spice, the Chong qing 🌶spicy chicken was mouth watering, along with the eggplant 🍆 dish, dry stir fried fish, and glass noodles with pork! I enjoyed every dish and my kids enjoyed their shrimp fried rice dish and greens as well. Our family is a foodie family and we love ❤️ traveling far and near to try dishes from around the world. The Chef came out and greeted us and was So kind. The staff was very attentive and friendly with our children. I would highly recommend this establishment. Thank you!! 🙏💕😁“

“This restaurant is amazing. The owner is nice and friendly. I’ve been there one time about 2 months ago, and after that every time that i want to treat my friends, i would take them to the spicy house, the flavor is well adjusted, for me as a Chinese, it would remind me of my hometown and for my friends, the flavor is also acceptable and they all love the food from spicy house. If you want try Chinese food, i would recommend this place as your first choice!!! And also thanks for the warm and kind service from spicy house. Wish all the best to this amazing place. 生意興隆,恭喜發財!“

“Solid lunch place! Came because I wanted to try Ox9 but didnt want to drive so far. I tried their traditional hand pulled noodle / beef combo with cucumber salad and lamb skewers. Well worth my $20. You can choose your spice level and pick from a variety of noodles. I went for spicy and wide flat noodles. Probably too much chew for me, but I wasn't mad at it. My husband tried the beef stew with rice noodle and that was probably more to my taste. It reminded me of shin ramen and this chinese mustard green / pickled veggie soup that I like. Pleasantly surprised by everything and would add this place in our rotation of restaurants. Its not fancy but its tasty.“

“Had lunch here with my picky teen. We ordered the pork pot stickers, tomato egg flower soup, and the sweet and sour chicken lunch special with half chow mein and half fried rice. This was more than enough food for us and in fact she liked it so much she agrees to eat the leftovers with me(this was enough food for 3-4 people).friendly staff and delicious food! Would recommend and will eat here again!“

“My single dish of gluten free beef and broccoli costs me $18. Plus fried rice and an appetizer I usually spend closer to $50. I don’t know why the average cost on here says 10-20 per person.
The people who work there are kind and helpful. The food is quick and scrumptious.“

“This is a good old Cantonese place. It has been my family go to back in the days. Now a day, they don't have that much business. We do stop by ever so often to get our OG food fixes in. Some of their servers is a bit rude, but don't mind them. This is just how they work.“

“Came here for dinner and ordered the special for two. We were seated right away, which is always a great start. The service stood out—our hostess was incredibly friendly and attentive, checking in on us throughout the meal.
Food came out quickly. The soup wasn’t quite my personal style, but the entrees more than made up for it—everything tasted fresh, well-cooked, and flavorful, and the meat was especially tender.
Overall, a really pleasant experience with warm service and solid dishes. Would definitely come back!“

“This place is busy, which says a lot for a pre-security location in the International Terminal. It's located on the A-side. If you don't see it, you're probably on the G-side of the international terminal.
Options are simple, and it's easy to order. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food felt fresh and was made quickly. It's a good place to go for a quick meal before you go through security.“

“I passed by here many times and never knew if it was open because the curtains block the interior view. Today I finally have this place a shot on a hungry mindset. It’s like a hole in the wall that serve authentic Chinese dishes at great prices. Also the service was great and the food was very delicious. I definitely will be back to try out other dishes.
Vegetarian options: Non-meat options available
Parking: Parking throughout the area

“Managed to get a last-minute reservation and felt quite lucky! The restaurant even followed up to confirm our arrival. The service was excellent—they even poured the sake for us. I loved the heated tray on the table that kept our skewers warm; it’s such a thoughtful touch. The menu has plenty of options, and though the place is small, it feels very cozy and atmospheric. The upside-down umbrellas hanging from the ceiling are a unique touch. One thing to note: it’s quite dim inside, so it’s a bit hard to take photos. If you're taking a group shot, watch out for blurriness!“

“Located in downtown San Mateo pretty close to the movie theater parking structure. And it is close to ritual tea, Molly Tea and other bubble tea places, very convenient. I like to come here to get my Malatang fix. The traditional pork bone soup is pretty good and it is not as expensive as the other place in downtown San Mateo. Still offers pretty good variety.“

“Charming Chinese restaurant in Millbrae that focuses on the Sichuan cuisine. The Mapo tofu was delicious, and the cold spicy noodles were superb. Beef noodle soup was surprisingly good as well. Fast and efficient service. Interior is small, so not ideal for large parties. Parking can be challenging, as the free parking lot fills up fast and is shared with several other local businesses.“

“The moment you bite into any dish here, you KNOW it's fresh. What I loved the most was that each dumpling had sooo much meat in it and lots of flavor! They even have an open kitchen layout so you can watch them make the dumplings! If dumplings aren't your thing, definitely try their House Special Beef Noodle Soup and be sure to get the Marinated Beef appetizer. The garlic sauce it comes with is so good.
If you're looking for authentic, handmade dumplings, this is your place!

* House Special Beef Noodle Soup
