“Came for the camarones a la diabla (“Devil’s Shrimp”), which they don’t have on the menu but are happy to make it for you. I actually enjoy theirs more than El Farolito! Also HIGHLY recommend their pastor tacos. Their salsa is top-notch, which I am very picky about. So lucky I live two minutes away!

“I've been coming here for about 2 years now. It has definetly some of the best tacos in the bay area. The price is also very reasonable. I always get tacos de Al Pastor but the chicharon tacos are really good as well. The service can be a hit or miss and wait times can be long, since they are usually busy. The food, however, is always delicious and consisten. I live in SF but drive down to burlingame just for the tacos every other week. I wish they were open late, but they close at 5p everyday. I would avoid going during lunch time, since that's when they are the most busy.“

“Ordered over the phone and the order was made quick. It was ready by the time we arrived. They misheard that I wanted an extra burrito similar to one of the other ones but they were super nice about it and prioritized making the extra burrito. Super friendly and cared about the customer. “Used to go here basically every Thursday for dinner (I have a class Thursday night and it was easier), and every single time I went there it was incredible. The portions are incredibly generous, the food itself is an 11/10, and authentic too! Staff are incredibly kind, and even got to know me and my parents after a while. I miss going there, I’ll try and support them again.

P.S. They give free chips and salsa with every order if you remember to pick them up! Don’t forget about those!“

“Do you love going to Flavortown? How about dreaming with your eyes open? Then try these birria tacos. The first time I had it was from leftovers that my daughter brought home for lunch. Then I drove from Oakley to San Mateo to have them fresh. It was AMAZING! They provide extra stuff to add to the tacos, but it honestly didn’t need them. The meat was so tender & flavorful that I had to close my eyes so I could fully appreciate the taste. Then I added the extras one by one & it tasted like a new taco each time. I know it seems like I’m exaggerating, but it’s really that good! My only wish is that they had seating nearby & a second location closer to Oakley.“

Kai is the ultimate hype guy and he took what normally would have been a stressful event to plan, and made it so easy and fun. “In a never ending search for the best burritos in the Bay, I’m glad I found another solid option in Los Cuates. Super nice folks behind the counter, clean, organized restaurant, a solid salsa bar, and fantastic food.

The regular carne burrito was piping hot, and perfectly wrapped with a perfect balance of delicious meat, rice, beans, and salsa. Nothing groundbreaking, just solid Mexican food at reasonable prices served by nice folks. We need more places like Los Cuates.“

“The food here was amazing! I got the super nachos with steak, and the regular burrito with grilled chicken and another burrito with steak. They were all delicious. Food came out in a timely manner.

The servers were friendly and are able to accommodate tourists. I wish they were a little more welcoming to usher people more proactively!

“Ordered Chorizo breakfast burrito

I was given a burrito with chorizo and was still pretty good. Even without being an eggs and potato burrito, it was still good.

The rice and beans had great flavor. The beans were smooth and the chorizo was tangy, mildly spicy, and not overcooked mixed with eggs.

The last bites of burrito was like eating a quesadilla so that was different.

There is a salsa bar and I love spicy salsas. The creamy orange red looking habanero spicy salsa is an 7/10 in spiciness.

The chips are really crunchy not thin so also great.

I love when you can get radishes at the restaurant to help cut the fat of a meal.“

“My son and I YELPED for Mexican food.Good Mexican Food, and decided to give this place a try. I had the Spicy Shrimp Plate, and my son had the Steak and Spicy Prawns. They also provide Tortilla Chips and a Salsa Bar. The guy who cooked our food, knows how to cook! My shrimp was absolutely a balance of green/red peppers, onions, in a slightly sweet, savory and mildly spicy sauce. The Rice was done just right(not dried out).The Black Beans, were tender, with just the right amount of salt. The Iceberg lettuce and sliced radish was cold, fresh and crispy— Served with a dollop of sour cream, avocado sauce; a slice of tomato and sprinkle of Mexican cheese top the salad - it did a nice job to balance the heat of the main course. “Place was not that busy on a Memorial Day Monday, so I was able to order my food right away and the food was not that expensive. Worker who took my order was very nice. Food came out quick. Got a Carne Asada taco that was delicious. Didn’t even take a picture because it jumped in my belly. Burrito was decent, good flavor but I wish they put more meat in it. It was packed, but I found myself trying to conserve the meat to make it last for other bites. Salsa bar was cool with the huge selection to choose from. Other than that, I would come back and definitely order more tacos.“
