“Came for the camarones a la diabla (“Devil’s Shrimp”), which they don’t have on the menu but are happy to make it for you. I actually enjoy theirs more than El Farolito! Also HIGHLY recommend their pastor tacos. Their salsa is top-notch, which I am very picky about. So lucky I live two minutes away!

“I've been coming here for about 2 years now. It has definetly some of the best tacos in the bay area. The price is also very reasonable. I always get tacos de Al Pastor but the chicharon tacos are really good as well. The service can be a hit or miss and wait times can be long, since they are usually busy. The food, however, is always delicious and consisten. I live in SF but drive down to burlingame just for the tacos every other week. I wish they were open late, but they close at 5p everyday. I would avoid going during lunch time, since that's when they are the most busy.“

“The restaurant has a really fun vibe, we enjoyed the tacos, drinks and chips and salsa. Service was exceptional. The creamy tomato spaghetti in the kids menu was a surprising option considering it’s a Mexican place but it was really comforting and we enjoyed it as well.

The only disappointing part was Flan which was hard and overcooked and the prices being on the higher side for what we got. But it’s a fun place and we’ll be back for the food we enjoyed!“

This is for the Half Moon Bay location. My family and I are locals and have been going here since they opened. I also frequent the Pacifica location. On 09/07/20 at about 1:30 I went in to order for my family. There was a new girl I had not seen before. I speak enough Spanish to get by. Suffice to say that she was deliberately messing with me. One of the cooks came up front, supposedly to help her, and from their banter it was clear they had no interest in helping me and thought it was funny to mess with me. They even discussed charging me for extra meat when I asked for cilantro on a burrito, and laughed about it. I simply walked out. I could speculate as to why they behaved this way, but I am only sharing the facts and what I know. I do know that while I MAY go back, if I see this particular crew, I will walk right out. I have never had this problem before, but this crew thought it would be more fun to mess with me instead of doing their jobs.“

“The food here was amazing! I got the super nachos with steak, and the regular burrito with grilled chicken and another burrito with steak. They were all delicious. Food came out in a timely manner.

The servers were friendly and are able to accommodate tourists. I wish they were a little more welcoming to usher people more proactively!

There’s parking in front or down the block, there’s a parking lot. It was really cheap for the hour.“

“Used to go here basically every Thursday for dinner (I have a class Thursday night and it was easier), and every single time I went there it was incredible. The portions are incredibly generous, the food itself is an 11/10, and authentic too! Staff are incredibly kind, and even got to know me and my parents after a while. I miss going there, I’ll try and support them again.

P.S. They give free chips and salsa with every order if you remember to pick them up! Don’t forget about those!“

“Do you love going to Flavortown? How about dreaming with your eyes open? Then try these birria tacos. The first time I had it was from leftovers that my daughter brought home for lunch. Then I drove from Oakley to San Mateo to have them fresh. It was AMAZING! They provide extra stuff to add to the tacos, but it honestly didn’t need them. The meat was so tender & flavorful that I had to close my eyes so I could fully appreciate the taste. Then I added the extras one by one & it tasted like a new taco each time. I know it seems like I’m exaggerating, but it’s really that good! My only wish is that they had seating nearby & a second location closer to Oakley.“

“Great tacos! The buche, carnitas, and cabeza were all really good (and large/meaty). Each one had a different delightful texture but cabeza was my favorite.... so tender! Fresh salsa bar and free chips are a huge plus. Also the free deep fried jalapenos was a nice touch. Next time I've gotta tried that awesome looking giant fried fish plate.“

“I LOVE elote, so when we drove my Maizz I was excited and came back a week later hungry. I didn't know what to order since everything is essentially elote flavored. I went with the traditional corn on the cob (elote stick). It was covered in deliciousness, but it got all over my face as I ate it. Not a date food. My husband got the carne asada smothered elote fries. The fries were a undercooked, but the meat was delicious as we're all the flavorings. We also got to try the deep fried corn ribs, and those were my favorite.“

“My son and I YELPED for Mexican food.Good Mexican Food, and decided to give this place a try. I had the Spicy Shrimp Plate, and my son had the Steak and Spicy Prawns. They also provide Tortilla Chips and a Salsa Bar. The guy who cooked our food, knows how to cook! My shrimp was absolutely a balance of green/red peppers, onions, in a slightly sweet, savory and mildly spicy sauce. The Rice was done just right(not dried out).The Black Beans, were tender, with just the right amount of salt. The Iceberg lettuce and sliced radish was cold, fresh and crispy— Served with a dollop of sour cream, avocado sauce; a slice of tomato and sprinkle of Mexican cheese top the salad - it did a nice job to balance the heat of the main course. Everything was well executed. The overall indoor atmosphere is very clean, simple and no frills. Love their neon menu signage. And, their prices are reasonable. Thank you for the delicious meal. “Place was not that busy on a Memorial Day Monday, so I was able to order my food right away and the food was not that expensive. Worker who took my order was very nice. Food came out quick. Got a Carne Asada taco that was delicious. Didn’t even take a picture because it jumped in my belly. Burrito was decent, good flavor but I wish they put more meat in it. It was packed, but I found myself trying to conserve the meat to make it last for other bites. Salsa bar was cool with the huge selection to choose from. Other than that, I would come back and definitely order more tacos.“
