Met 3 of my GF's for a late breakfast. Waiter had a hard time with English to take our order. The meal was just mediocre and expensive for what we received. Then we were asked to kindly hurry up that they were closing at 2pm.

Baylight Iimo & private transportation service

Stay away, just stay away. Food and service just are subpar. Don't be fooled into trying them out. There are two much better Italian restaurants in the street. Go there instead unless you like frozen food.

Great food, helpful pleasant owner. Loved our first time here and will definitely be back. Only criticism is the prices are a bit high, especially for wine, but it's a treat every once in a while!

We made a reservation via open table for 6:15pm on a Saturday night. We arrived around 6:05pm to find the restaurant closed and dark. Luckily we were able to find a restaurant that could take walk ins. We had wanted to try Mimosa but I guess we never will now. Very disappointing.

I really enjoyed dining at Mimosa. Mario has spent a lot of time and thought preparing the space and menu. He even refinished the tables and chairs himself. I had the beef lasagna and it was delicious! A dish that is hard to do wrong but he and his staff did it exceptionally well. We'll be back!

Excited to try this place , as it was recommended from a client. The food was tasty and delicious and will come back soon . Another Gem on Broadway Ave Burlingame. Recommend : Crostini , Burrata & Spare Ribs servings enough for two and we both had a glass of Wine Malbec - Next Time Beet Salad looks amazing.

Great food & service! I had the veggie omelette with a side of fries. The mango mimosa was delicious. I will definitely be back.

I've lived in the neighborhood for ~ 19 yrs. My family and I were regulars at Mivan's the former restaurant. We literally ate there at least once a week. We miss the owners and the food! Fast forward, and I'm finishing up my 5th visit, and my meal has prompted the share: the owner and host, is very attentive and gladly shares why and how he curated his menu and wine list. The portions are more than reasonable given the attention to detail. During each of my visits, I tried something different and have not been disappointed. The salads are enough for two and make a great lunch Tonight's meal - the classic hamburger, medium well, no extras w freshly cut potatoes and a Kir Royal from the Mimosa menu - kudos to the chef and owner!! Try this out while it's still off the radar.

I found this by looking for a new neighborhood place with great Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. The interior is a nice update of the previous restaurant, Mivan. One table by the door was noisy, with loud voices, but not the restaurant's fault. We had a hard time hearing what the owner was saying because of the noise. We started with the meatballs. Not something I'd normally get, but the owner recommended them. Good choice--3 flavorful large meatballs in a nice savory tomato sauce. The owner was a little pushy, trying to get us to order more. We were very hungry and just wanted 2 mains, but ordered the appetizer and wine because the owner was persistent. Normally, we would be irritated, but all of his recommendations were excellent. Our mains were excellent dishes recommended by the owner. DH had the petrale sole and he loved it. When he told the owner he loved it, the owner said it would be even better with a Cline Chardonnay. So DH ordered it and it was good--richer and oaky, very nice. I had the short ribs, one of my favorite dishes that I love to cook in the winter. It was excellent! Great flavor, nice fresh vegetables on the side and a very generous portion. I will definitely order this again. The owner mentioned that they only make 15 servings of short ribs, so can run out on busy nights. I am happy to find a worthy competitor for Rocca, which is always packed. Broadway is an under rated street! We will be back! Thanks to the earlier Yelp reviews.

I happened to stumble across Mimosa when searching for a last minute dinner spot after a long day at work. What a great little gem and perfect addition to the neighborhood! The ambiance is great, the portions are generous and the service was wonderful. We were the last customers at the end of the night and had a delightful chat with the owner. He shared with us his story of opening the restaurant and how he created the entire menu and curated the entire wine list. I can't wait to come back and try the brunch!

A wonderful addition to the Broadway corridor in Burlingame! Have now been there twice and both times the cuisine, service and ambiance are top notch. Have had the lasagna, the lamb shank and tried the smoked salmon pappardelle and everything is perfectly prepared. The service is exceptional, the kind you only get an from owner / operator establishment. Mimosa will definitely stay in the rotation!
