Way overpriced for dumplings that taste like they came right out of the microwave. Steamed dumplings had dry/tough spots. Absolutely no flavor. It took 58 minutes to receive an order of dumplings. Went to the counter and poor customer service. Guy just stated “ yeah we are backed up”. I wish I would have gotten my money back.

Sub standard dumplings with tough parts. Very disappointing. Sauce was ok and improved the bland dumplings. Bummer!!

The dumplings were delicious but they need to put stickers on which dumplings are which. My husband doesn't eat out and the server didn't know which one was the pork dumplings for myself.

My 1st visit to Topanga Social and we ordered pan fried dumplings and scallion pancakes. Both were burnt and the awful after taste from just tasting them. The dumplings were not fresh and scallion pancake was super oily. Very disappointed. Service was slow, food from other counters arrived faster. The place is clean and neat and the food ordering system was also good.

The food is ridiculously overpriced, and the displays are misleading. The pictures that are shown on the order kiosk are steamed dumplings; they look like bao or soup dumplings or something along those lines. Instead, I received gyoza/potsticker like dumplings that had clearly been reheated and were no better than anything you can by frozen at the store. I ended up spending $14 on something I could have easily made better at home for a fraction of the price. Do not eat here. The service was good though, no hate to the employees who have to serve this food.

Ordered dumplings. Taste was ok. Way overpriced for what you get. Not very filling and didn’t tastes too fresh. Skin is tough for a “steamed” dumpling. I should have read the reviews for this location :-/

Lost my order so took 30 minutes. Food was mediocre at best and was a terrible value - way over/priced.

I was so excited to try this place. But these dumplings were awful Plus they took 15 minutes to get six dumplings out. There was no one else around or in line or anything. I got the pork pan fried dumplings and they were terrible. They tasted exactly like frozen dumplings from the supermarket and the sauces were terrible.

Pretty bad dumplings. Tastes rubbery with no love. I feel bad leaving a 1 star. because the people were nice but place wasn’t great at all. Store bought ones are better.

Dumplings were a little tough, just okay, but the spicy dipping sauce was tangy and tasty.

Monster Dumpling, How I've loved you in WeHo but I'm so utterly disappointed in you at the Topanga Social.... Do you even take pride in your business anymore? I've given you 4 tries since the day you opened till now, 8 months later; here we are. The first try was overly salty, some items were a bit off, but understandably. Nothing to forgive. I will go back! :) I went back a week later and some of my dumplings were rotten. I spoke with the Topanga Social manager who shared that the refrigerator wasn't working properly and have may affected the food and apologized. Returned the food and got a refund - disappointing but...okay, will give you another try. Waited ONE month or so. The dumplings were overly salted and inconsistent. Service was lousy at best with horrible workers. There were three cooks all talking in the back, with one guy up front. He could have given two shits about the customers. The manager on duty was horrible as well. Vowed never to go back yo Top Social. Today...well, I gave in. Upon my visit to _____ I decided to stop at Amboy for a burger (that too was way too dry and we'll get into that in another review, perhaps). But I couldn't resist looking in the way of Dumpling Monster. Anyone who knows me, knows I have an insatiable love for dumplings and I just couldn't resist. I cave, however to my chagrin! Service was still horrible, food was even worse. Although they weren't overly salty this time and the filling was quite tasty, they fried my "pan fried dumplings" in which looked and tasted more like something of a pre-packaged frozen gyoza from San Sai grill or something. Absolutely HORRIBLE! I also called the owner and left a message for him at the WeHo store after my second visit to let him know what was happening, but he never called me back - seriously bro, you need to look into this. If all these folks are leaving bad reviews, there's gotta be some problem here that needs your attention... I want to love you again!

These are the worst dumplings I have ever had in my life. I had the steamed pork. The dough used for the wrapper was SO thick and gummy. Ratio of wrapper to meat was terrible. The entire dumpling was rigid and just plain gross. I felt robbed given how blatantly terrible it was. Stay clear.

Dumpling Monster is in the new Topanga Social area at the Topanga Mall. We (myself, fiance, toddler) tried it as we thought it would be the safest bet for my toddler (meaning she'll most likely eat from this place). I understand the lower reviews as the dumplings don't taste like they're freshly made right before serving. They taste like maybe they've been frozen and I can understand people saying they're similar tasting to frozen dumplings purchased from the market or Costco. That doesn't make them bad though. We thoroughly enjoyed our order. My daughter said she would give them FIVE STARS!! (We saw the low scores beforehand and were talking about it). What I have to say is their spicy dipping sauce is REALLY good! It's like soy sauce and chili sauce mixed and I'm not sure what else, but we really liked it. That kicked up their score.

Just NO! It's a dumpling disaster!!! It took a long time for premade dumplings to come out. The though is so thick that it should be against the unwritten rules of dumpling 101. It's so bland that they serve the dumplings soaking in soy sauce!! Cuz it's sitting in pool of soy sauce it's essentially inedible.

I enjoyed the dumplings! I would order from here again. I shared the dumplings with my friend
