I sampled the chili lime mango sorbet, which was refreshing and delicious, but this time I was in the mood for ice cream. I got the Chocolate Covered Strawberries flavor which was absolutely delicious! Joe brought it out from inside and his friendly service made the visit even better. I’ll definitely be back!”

I suppose it was because the Taco Oasis shack was a first for me,beng used to restaurants, but those people know how to prepare the most tasty tacos I’ve ever eaten. They also add avocado no extra charge. Carne Asada Taco only $3.50 each. What a deal!”

“The ice cream here is so good. Ordered vanilla, black cherry, coffee chocolate chip, black raspberry chunk, strawberry, and mango. We were not disappointed. My daughter is very particular about her mango ice cream, or rather sorbet, and this is a top two spot so far. Good mango is hard to come by and this is top tier. Customer service was great as well. Guys were patient with us not being familiar with the menu. No inside seating but plenty of benches outside to sit on. Serving sizes were big. Excellent ice cream. Definitely recommend. We've been two nights in a row if that is any indication of how good the ice cream is.”

“We heard great things about LILO and couldn’t resist going there for a date night. The price overall is not cheap and even more so with wine pairings.
The evening started outside with a few small bites and a walkthrough of the history of the restaurant (which is new). Then we moved inside for wine pairings and food courses. Every dish came with an introduction, every wine pairing a perfect story and explanation. The entire evening followed a delicate story, with food we’d never forget. The evening ended outside with a nice desert and desert wine. A perfect end to the evening. This place is worth every penny and all the hype!”

Only complaint is the size of the restrooms inside the restaurant. For as many people that can be hosted at this location, there was a wait for the restroom. Outside of that, beautifully designed, staff is amazing and food is excellent. Highly recommend recommended.”

“This In-N-Out is especially wonderful. They run an efficient shop and I’ve never seen as line as short as this in any In-N-Out and they are extremely welcoming and have good energy. It was Sunday after sports and there was a large lunch rush and Ethan was kind enough to help us find a retainer that one of the kids had thrown in the trash by accident and did so with a good attitude. This in n out will always hold a special place in my heart”

“We were in the mood for Vietnamese food and came across this spot online, it was my mom’s first time trying it. We mentioned this to the gentleman helping us and he gave some suggestions. We got a vermicelli noodle bowl and an order of pho. Our food came quick and the portions were generous, he even gave my mom a small bowl of pho broth to try on the side. We LOVED it! Very light but still super flavorful. My mom ate every bite—she was very happy with her meal! The man who helped us was very attentive and checked up on us frequently to make sure we were enjoying everything. At the end of our meal he gave us a Thai tea to try as well and it was also yummy!
He mentioned that this is a local, family owned business and these are the types of establishments we love to support.
The place is small but cozy and extremely clean. You can tell they take cleanliness seriously, which we appreciate.
We’ll definitely be back and recommend others in the area to check it out as well :)”

“I stumbled across Carruth Cellars yesterday while I was waiting on my sweet dog to get out of the emergency vet next door. I was clearly upset and was just trying to stay close and keep my mind busy. I met Brance who was so compassionate and kind. He made me feel safe and welcomed while I waited in tears. I have been living in the village for a while and this was the most exceptional service I have experienced. As a fellow hospitality business owner, the way he treated me will be something I will continue to share as an amazing no expectation, true guest hospitality experience. My dog is also out of the vet, in recovery and we will be coming by to say hi to Brance soon!”

The attention to detail as you walk into the restaurant and look around, every detail seems to have been given great thought. There was a place for women to store their bags without putting them on the floor. The food was absolutely breathtaking. From the sashimi that melts in your mouth, the appetizers that start the meal just right, the rolls you can’t find anywhere else to your classic favorites, the drinks that are exceptional, to the desserts that you just don’t want to stop at one, this place will not disappoint! I don’t think I can ever go to another sushi restaurant again after this meal! If you ever want to see heaven on earth in a restaurant, be sure to book a reservation so you do not miss out!!!”

“So glad to find Poki Poki has a location in Carlsbad. I was trudging out to the Oceanside locations for my poke fix, but this is much closer. The food is just as delicious as the other locations.

I always get the seared ahi as one of my proteins, which comes in thick wedges. The servings are generous, a regular size bowl is easily two meals for me. The staff here is friendly, the fish is fresh, the location is right across the street from the beach, and they serve beer here too. What's not to love?”

I read through the bad reviews and happy to share some advice. As far as wait time, it’s to be expected for this type of dining. I went in with the expectation of waiting, just check in and they will text when ready. As far as the quality, everything tasted fresh!! You get a full plate of veggies with tons of oils, sauces, and spice to add to your broth. Make sure to ask questions about the broth, some are simple so that you can add your preferred flavors. It seems like this isn’t a typical traditional hot pot set up and I’m totally okay with it. I actually enjoyed having my own pot and I was able to eat the entire thing.

Paid a little more for the premium meat, ribeye and short rib… I regret NOTHING! I guess I’m only sad that I didn’t have more of their pumpkin slices - pairs so well with the meat!!”

“Revolution Roasters is a great place if you need some peace, comfort and a good cup of coffee. My boyfriend and I came to the cafe today with some friends who were visiting California.

We agreed that it was the perfect spot to get coffee and food to start our day before giving them a tour of SD. I've had different types of toast/pastries throughout SD/North County and this place has some of the best. Not only was everything refreshing but all the flavors were complimentary.

Additionally, the service was amazing. Everyone there was so kind and inviting. The food did take a bit of time to get to our table but it was worth it. Plus, the drinks were ready very quickly.”

When we walked into the restaurant, (early 8:00 am) for breakfast, there was a table that had already been serviced with about 14-16 people. Michael, the manager was already taking their order. When he was finished taking their order, he came over to our table to take ours. He told us that there was a large table before us, so it might be a while before we received our order. Surprisingly enough, within in 10 minutes!, no lie, the large table was being served their orders and at the SAME time, our order came out as well. I don’t know how they do it. One of the 4 has your traditional chicken figure taste but still unique and not a copy. The other 3 are very unique and worth the try. Chicken can be eaten plain, like popcorn chicken from other places. Only negative is the hours of operation but I understand for the area. I ordered online and it was nothing difficult, able to use Apple pay.”

They had problems with the rush of orders and me and many others didn't recieve our orders, but they have made up for it and then some. Please, take a look at the most recent reviews and ignore the older ones, they were over whelmed and deserve a second chance they are delicious. Due to my personal health I likely can't continue with many of them. I'm a salt waster, therefore I have problems with high potassium. Many of the fruits and veggies they use are full of potassium. But dang they are good, but not worth the foot and leg cramps I get all night. 😩”
