Came to Bologna Gourmet with a friend and was so glad we tried this restaurant. From the outside it is a little storefront place in an office complex. You might pass it if you didn’t look carefully. But trust me you don’t want to miss this place! Friend asked server what he recommended, he recommended the Short Rib Beef Ravioli and the Tagliatelle con Bolognese Ragu. We ordered both and shared. It was the freshest and best pasta I have ever had! I am not a world traveler but I know good food when I eat it! And I definitely will be traveling back to Carlsbad to Bologna Gourmet again soon!! I recommend making reservations.

Absolutely amazing food!! Such a cute place tucked away in an industrial complex. What a find!! Reservations are a must as there are about 15 tables. The bread is incredible, we split a Pesto Lasagna because we were there for lunch and the meat Lasagna isn't available. The pesto sauce was creamy and delicious. We also split the gnocchi with gorgonzola and walnuts WOW!! They are as good as I remember my mom making!! Melt in your mouth! The espresso was the best I have had and the dessert....well lets say we scrapped the plate to get the remnants! Service was outstanding too! Incredible local find!

Great authentic Italian food with amazing service and ambiance. There is not a ton of seating but more than enough to bring a large group or book for a party. It's a little hidden but in the same area as one of the prager brothers location (a must visit bread bakery). Make a stop at both when in the area!
