Came for a quick bite after a day exploring the coast and several local brewpubs. Had Castroville artichokes and calamari, just perfect. Great cocktails and excellent service just make it even better. Artichokes can be a bit messy to est,but they were prepared as server brought warm towels and lemon wedges to clean up afterwards. Dessert made in house are terrific as well.
Came to Carmel for a mini spring break getaway, and a local recommended this place, since it was dog friendly as well. I ordered the Sand Dabs (5 stars), my husband, the filet mignon, and our two teen boys had the hamburger with garlic fries. for dessert, we had the crème brûlée with coconut milk, and the tiramisu. Cozy place....I had the Sand Dabs, which were moist, lightly crispy on outside & deliciously seasoned. It was served with fingerling potatoes, and I should've gotten veggies instead. My hubby's braised short rib was tender and flavorful. They readily substituted risotto for the potatoes. I had an espresso martini, which was great....not sweet!
