“Loved the selection of food here. We came for breakfast but just missed it. But we were not disappointed by the lunch items. Chips and salsa were good. We couldn't stop eating them. I got the crab and shrimp enchiladas. A bit heavy but good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their orders. It was a nice change from the typical fancy restaurants we've been having in Carmel for something a bit more casual but still satisfying.“

“The restaurant has a pleasant decor and an extensive menu. There are a lot of raw items that my wife thought were very good and fresh. I had a pork, kimchi stew which was spicey and flavorful. The wine list was fair and the saki list could use a few additions. The decor is very nice. Service was good. We will be back.“

“What a hidden gem I found in Carmel Valley! Pet-friendly terrace, wonderful service, inexpensive price with super big quantity, and yum! very delicious pizza! To clarify the confusion, you can order menus of Stirup Cup Pizza here at Running Iron. My husband and I wanted some pizza after the hike at Garland park. We needed an outdoor seating to be seated with our dog. You can order pizza and eat at Running Iron! We sat with our dog at the terrace at Running Iron and ordered pizza from Stirup Cup Pizza.I ordered stuffed deep dish pizza with the menu #4 and a basket of curly fries. The portions are crazy here! The basket of curly fries was HUGE and delicious! We could not finish the medium-sized pizza. Wow, the stuffed deep dish was very creative. You should definitely try.And Connie, our waitress, was so nice and friendly. I mean, honestly, all of the staffs that served our table were so nice and kind. They seemed to enjoy their job. I genuinely appreciate their service.Of course, I am going to visit here AGAIN!“

“Got the breakfast burrito & 3 beignets with the wife… Perfect amount of food for 2. We weren’t drinking at the time but were both tempted by the guava mimosa. Sounds yummy! Our server was excellent, super nice guy, took care of some dietary restrictions we have with ease. We will definitely come back here next time we visit Carmel Valley. We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful spring morning.“

“Astonishingly great pizza. The sausage pizza with pickled shallots and calabrian chilis is almost perfection. I don't think there's a single thing I would change about it. Bread with roasted garlic is an exercise in simplicity and deliciousness. I think my only complaint there would be to salt the butter - all the ingredients were great, but a little seasoning made it exceptional. Corkscrew was about an hour away from where we were staying and it was well worth the trip. Absolutely a must visit if you're anywhere nearby.“

“Had a very nice date lunch here with my wife while we dropped the toddler off at a friends for a play date. It's a small spot with a wine cellar vibe inside, pretty patio seating outside. The service was friendly and attentive. All of the food was fresh and cooked perfectly. The shrimp all was tasty, my wife loved her gnocchi and the steak for my steak frites was cooked perfectly. I feel like it's really hard to get a perfectly medium rare steak anymore. This chef clearly knows what he's doing!“

“We came on our honeymoon and met family. My husband and I had omelets, and my cousins daughter had Country Benedict. My great aunt had pancakes. The breakfast was amazing. My one advice is to get there early. They were a packed house. The whole time, we were there.“

“Excellent Service! Wonderful and fresh food! This is my second time here and it did not disappoint, I will definitely be back again. This was my first time having the lunch special and was so happy with the flavor, freshness, quality and quantity of the food. Took a pic after taking a few bites of food. but“

“The pepperoni pizza was delicious. Lots of pepperoni topping while the crust wasn't too thick. The Italian salad that I got was disappointing. I paid $4 more for salami but it wasn't cut into strips like previous photos. They were round and not what I expected . The red onions overpowered the taste and smell of the salad. I'd skip it next time but would definitely get another pizza or two.“

“Everything on the menu strikes my interest but the cowbell def called my name. It was good a little smaller than I expected but tasted better than my expectations. The onion tomato soup was good wasn't watery great flavor actually could taste the lil bit of sweetness from the onion. My only gripe is the seating in this place if you're not solo it's hard to find a spot for 3 guys if the middle big table is already taken other than that this place is def worth a try.“

“This place was recommended to me by friends so I was excited to give it a try. I ordered take-away and got a very precise 12 min. The service, both on the phone and in person, was great. The place was nice and clean, and my pizza was ready in the promised 12 minutes. The pizza had a nice thin crust but it was a little burnt on the bottom. It also didn't hold a fold without flopping at the end while hot. I guess that's the difference between a Neapolitan style and the coveted NY style, NY style holds a fold and isn't usually burnt because of the lower temperature and longer bake time. The sauce was good you could tell it was made in-store and fresh, it just seemed a little "thin". I wish it had a little more body and spice. I got a cheese pizza because if a pizza place can't make a decent cheese pizza is in the wrong business. The chese was perfect, it was tasty, there was plenty of it, and it caused long melty strings. I had to wait until the next day to review, because it's important that pizza taste good cold, too. This pizza was pretty good cold, too. The sauce was still thin and may have absorbed into the crust, but cold it could hold the fold. This is better than a lot of West Coast pizza so i'll probably be back, it's a good value for the price- 7/10.“

“My family and I were driving through Monterey and we needed a quick sandwich. 3 Mundos had great reviews so we thought we'd give them a try. We tried their Philly Cheesesteak, chicken bacon and baked turkey sandwiches. They did not disappoint. Not only were they large and delicous, the fresh roll that they use are crunchy and tasty as well. The staff was very friendly and patient as we had trouble deciding which sandwiches to try. The menu is very extensive. We all agreed that the sandwiches were one of the better sandwiches that we've ever had. We will definitely be back to try more of their sandwiches.“

“Highly recommend this spot! A hidden gem. The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. Lots of indoor dining with a nice patio area for outdoor dining. We sat at the bar and the sushi chef was very kind and friendly. All the staff were welcoming. The food was brought out quickly. Very fresh ingredients and delicious food! Absolutely loved the heart attack and bento plates with beef. The Sapporo was served in a chilled mug which really hit the spot. Overall I'm happy to have come by this restaurant and definitely plan on returning.“
“This place is beautiful, and it was tulip season when we went, so you could pick your own tulips. They have different garden sections, including a children's garden with a swing set and a giant wooden chair. There's also a deli like cafe where you can easily grab a bite. I came here with my dad and my 10-year-old. This place is great for all ages - for the whole family, a date, or just a solo self care day.“

“Food was hot and tasted good...it's a chain so I've been to all of them. But this location to me feels like the 1st. It looks like it could hold a large banquet on one side but it's not open on that side. A little older but the food was hot and tasted good nothing left to take home ?“

“Dined here last minute after a long day chaperoning an FRC tournament.Things I loved:- they were able to quickly accommodate our party of 10 on a rainy Friday night.- when some in our party ended up not being able to come, they didn’t give us any gruff about it. We chose to shift our seats so they could break apart the big table into two smaller dining spots- good was fantastic!- started off with the sizzling mushrooms and the Brussels sprouts - it didn’t appear to be a ton of Brussels at first because they were in a single layer on a plate versus in a bowl, but it ended up being the perfect amount, and the sauce was fantastic. The sizzling mushrooms were amazing! Sorry, forgot to snag pics of those two dishes.- fish and chips were great! Tons of crispy, flaky but not dry fish atop a bed of the most interesting fries I’ve ever seen. Imagine a steak-fry-size flat potato “wedge” but curved on both ends reminding me of a flower petal. They were really great and not soggy or floppy at all! I can’t stand underdone fries.- multiple in my party had the gnocchi two ways and thought it was dynamite. They couldn’t decide if they liked the Gorgonzola or the marinara sauce better.- Beef stroganoff and the prawn risotto rounded out our meal. There wasn’t a crumb left- Bread pudding - absolutely incredible! I love bread pudding but everywhere I go people put raisins in it. Not here. A huge chunk that was perfectly cooked all the way through. There were no mushy parts and no dry parts. Definitely some of the best bread pudding had at a restaurant ever.- I definitely recommend going but between drinks, dinner and dessert I easily spent $80 on my dinner.- waitstaff was very friendlyThings I would change:- for the price point, I was expecting a slightly different atmosphere. It felt very much like a breakfast/lunch cafe that got super popular so they started doing really great dinner dishes as well. There were cloth napkins but maybe tablecloths could have changed the vibe a bit more.- our table was sitting out in the middle of the entire dining room, which I understand because we were a larger party, but I felt a little bit like I was in a fishbowl. However, I think it was partly my fault for not requesting something towards the wall. That is just a personal preference issue, though.- not a huge wine selection, options were fine but nothing spectacular and they were out of the only Chardonnay you could get by the 1/2 bottle.Dietary restrictions: Totally accommodated my crustacean allergy.“

“I had heard good reviews from locals and wanted to check it out. I was shocked. I got a combination box with some add ons and the staff and chefs were accommodating. The food was excellent and the specials menu is extensive and interesting. The atmosphere was great and inviting. I'll definitely be returning and telling my friends.“

“We have been coming here since it opened and other locations as well. There is. No better Deli. Fresh quality, creative menu and friendly service. Catering is good as well! There is even an Erik and he visits locations and mingles with his employees. There is one guy that has been there for 8 years and had nothing but good things to say about the business and Erik! Awesome good job and an example you treat your employees good then everyone gets treated good. Highly highly recommend. Great vibe“

“Restaurant was clean. It’s small but very welcoming. I was amazed by the food since we picked this place juts by google reviews on our family trip. Generous portions although i wish the side orders of steam rice were a little bit more larger for a family, we had to get and xtra side of steam rice. Overall we will come back on our next trip ??“

“If you're looking for some decent Mexican food for a decent price, this is a decent option. It's definitely not the best Mexican place around, but it's also far from the worst. Same goes for price: affordable but not dirt cheap. The food here isn't anything to write home about; that is, the meat isn't the greatest quality and the portion sizes are a little small. However, the flavor is good. The beans are hit or miss since they sometimes come out a little cold. Also, if it gets busy (not very common), it's a good idea to know how to speak a little Spanish. The servers are pretty nice but they sometimes seem like they're rushing the customer a little. Atmosphere is great; no complaints here.I order a different thing every time I come here (four times so far) since none of the individual items I've tried have stood out to me as amazing. Coming from San Diego, I know what to look for when ordering top-notch Mexican. This place hasn't hit that mark yet for me.Parking: This place doesn't have a good selection of parking. I recommend parking on the street to the right of it.“

“Tarpy's is the only restaurant I know that serves shrimp and grits and they are delicious. This are not your average grits cooked in water. They are creamy and tasty and the large prawn on top are delicious. There is a carrot puree that adds that extra bit of color and flavor to the grits. A delicious dish if you like grits. Much better with the shrimp than just plain rice. Highy recommend.“

“FoodI drove down here from the boring city of Hollister to try out the nabeyaki udon. I enjoyed a tasty hot bowl of delightful dashi-based broth with udon and seafood. The sad part was running out of that hot, delicious food.ServiceThe wait staff only cared about the initial interaction and the end of my time there, when I was finished with my food. The wait staff did not check on me during the middle portion of my meal. I go to restaurants, and I expect good service as part of the experience. Good food by itself does not mean full stars. Two stars for service are gone because they need to improve their service.AtmosphereThe restaurant is in a small strip mall. Behind the strip mall, the area looks rather run down. The strip mall itself was alright. As for the restaurant itself, it's your typical Japanese restaurant with some ink painting of Samarais hanging on one wall. There's nothing that really makes this place stand out as a "You've got to come here." In fact, from the outside it looks rather bland.“
“I love this place!! Nothing fancy or special, just really simple desserts done right. I ordered the fried Oreos and Fried Reese's with ice cream, and I can not wait to go back to try the other items. The batter was light and fluffy and fried just right, not too oily. The ordering process is a little weird in the sense that it's not your average storefront, but the owner texts you and makes sure you get to the right place. I don't live around the area, but hopefully, swamp snacks will become more popular and expand closer to where I live.“

“Stopped by this place on a rainy Saturday afternoon for a bowl of chicken nabeyaki udon. Restaurant is located on the perimeter of a sketchy part of town. Sketchy meaning you see homeless people walking around.I thought the nabeyaki udon was alright. In essence, I had soup with chicken leg meat and udon noodles, with a bit of fake squid and diced seaweed. There was no other veggies, like daikons, Napa cabbage, sliced carrots, or even an egg.I’ve been to other Japanese restaurants where they give you more than just chicken when you order the chicken nabeyaki udon. They include Napa cabbage and sliced carrots, served in a cast iron pot so that you feel like you got your money’s worth.I might come back and try their sushi another day. Sushi Time further south on the same road has better nabeyaki udon.“

“Lovely atmosphere near the lobby of Carmel Valley Ranch main lodge. It has some great views of the golf course and valley , surrounded by oak trees- classic Carmel Valley. We ate here three different times, twice for breakfast and once for dinner. The service was top notch. Food came out promptly. For breakfast the options looked delicious, but we had the oatmeal and granola / yogurt which are a healthy hit with the kids and our family. For dinner, kids menu hit the spot - good grilled cheese and hotdog :) I had the salmon which was a bit plain - not particularly seasoned but the kimchi rice was really good. Probably would order something else next time but it was nicely plated and tasted good.“

“Ok, I don't know what's going on with the reviews of this place. They are all over the map. If I had read them before coming here I would have passed on this place and I'm glad we didn't! The food was AMAZING. My husband and I normally have to drive to San Jose for Ramen, but not anymore! We got the edamame with spicy garlic as an appetizer and they were definitely finger licking good. I don't even like edamame lol, and I ate those. For dinner we ordered the shrimp killer roll and the hi roll. Both were super good. We also both got Ramen. I got the garlic sesame and my husband got the miso. It was all fantastic. We are Ramen snobs, and we were both exceptionally happy with our meals. We will definitely be going back there. The staff was also super friendly, and the food came out really quick! I say give this place a chance. Can't wait to go again!“

“Outstanding service and great flavorful, seasonal food. Two of us enjoyed the salmon with perfectly crispy sear and succulently medium rare fish cooked to perfection. The special seafood was scallops, also delicious. We enjoyed the dense and delicious chocolate cake for dessert. 5 stars all around.“
