“Decem and QQ gave us the BEST service we have EVER received. No exaggeration. They provided our group with such a wonderful experience and ALL of our food was amazing. We had chow mein, wings, Mongolian beef, sweet & sour chicken, rice, wor wonton soup, ginger tea, and the sesame seed dessert balls (I don’t remember what they were called). “The staff here goes above and beyond to make sure customers are satisfied! I order takeout at least once a week here and today I had complimentary chips added to each of the 3 bowls I ordered. They once made a mistake and put the wrong dressing on a bowl, they made sure to remake the bowl with correct dressing and gave me the incorrect one for free. I didn’t even have to ask them to remake it, they made sure it was done before I got there to pick up! Their food always tastes amazing, and the staff is always welcoming! I highly recommend!“

“Lunch plates are good values. I tries the combo with spring rolls. The spring rolls were a disappointment. Of you're set on the combo, maybe the pan fried potstickers will be better. I had the green curry with chicken as the main. I forgot to specify the spice level so was prepared to get it mild. Fortunately there was enough of a tingle to satisfy me. I will be returning to try their pad kra pao next.“

“This place has great service and the food is amazing. They have some of the best pho broth I have tasted in the area and that goes for both the chicken and beef versions. Their appetizers are also very good compared to other similar restaurants in Salinas. The spring rolls were very balanced yet flavorful and the egg rolls have a unique seafood flavor that I have never tasted. Their pork chop is also a great hit with my family. It was well seasoned and juicy. Definitly give this place a try if you're into Vietnamese food and happen to be in the Salinas area.“

The bacon was perfectly crispy and the sourdough bread was very good too. It is a nice place to work from and grab breakfast and/or lunch! I noticed it gets busy during lunch but I got there right before the rush. The service was amazing, it does take a bit to get your food from my experience but it wasn't too bad. I will definitely be going back to try more things on their menu!“

“Overall, I enjoy the setting and ambiance at the Beerded Bean and will come here to do homework or bring friends and family that are visiting. I like that they have beer on tap, although would love to see some cider’s, kombucha’s and less hoppy beers. When I come in I always get a matcha tea, but shocked that the price is now $7 for a small matcha. And then an extra $1 for alternative milk, so my matcha was $8, plus $1 for tip so $9 total! Yikes! It is their only hot drink that is that much. The rest are around$5.50 which is reasonable. Their Carmel Valley location has matcha that is cheaper. I work in Monterey, and will get matcha’s in Monterey and Pacific Grove all throughout the week, and the most I usually pay for a small matcha is between $4.50-5.50 plus $.50-$1.00 for alternative milk. In fact Cafe Guarani and Captain Stokers, where I frequently visit, has a matcha that is only $4.50, Beerded Bean please consider lowering your Matcha price. I will continue to come here, but will have to change my drink up to a regular teabag, or head down the road to Starbucks for my Matcha, which I really do not want to do. :-(.“

“When I walked in from the rain I was greeted warmly, the restaurant was nicely lit, cheerful and clean. The choice of food was amazing. I heard some diners request something not on the menu; ;"No problem, we can do that for you," chirped the server -Sam, the owner. The food came out quickly, it was hot and appetizing. The portions were on the generous side. There is a friendly ambiance to the restaurant - many of the diners seemed to be regulars and had friendly exchanges with the owners/waiters. “In my opinion this is the best Pho on the peninsula ( it’s all about the broth!). There are 15 different Pho dishes, including a vegetarian option. The summer spring rolls are delicious and there is a wide range of noodle and rice dishes as well. They don’t rush you out, even when they are busy. It’s in a very old shopping center/ strip mall and you might not stop here unless someone told you about it. Well I am telling you, you should make a point to stop in for a meal.“
