Do yourself a favor and take a cooking class ASAP with Heat Culinary! I have taken 2 now, Chinese food and Oaxacan, and they have been so informative, helpful, and, best of all, so much fun!! The cost for the classes is an absolute steal, considering you eat an amazing meal and take home tons of leftovers. It’s really a bonding experience to cook with people and enjoy it together at the end, strangers feel like friends quickly. The class offerings are diverse and unique, with lots of ethnic food options. Customer service is also amazing— I forgot the recipe print out and emailed them afterwards, around 10 p.m., and the owner, Chef Nikki, emailed me back almost immediately and not only sent me the recipe, but asked for input on upcoming classes. I’m grateful for Heat and plan on taking as many classes as I can.

We attended the Filipino cooking class located in Santa Barbara and we felt so catered to! Chef Becky and her assistant for the night, Evan, so effortlessly made us feel at home and excited to learn. Everything was organized and prepared for us from the moment we arrived. We left with both our bellies and hearts feeling full. Definitely plan on taking another class soon!

WOW! I understand why this place has five reviews. The customer service/experience is unmatchable. We did a cooking class a couple of weeks ago. It was a first time chef and looking back, I think he was overwhelmed by the experience, creating a less than desirable experience. Before we could even think to complain, they called US to ask us how the experience was. We explained the situation and they were apologetic and assured us that they would get back to us with a resolution, which they did. We had already had Fridays class booked so we decided to give it another try. I had seen the lovely reviews and thought there was no way that our last experience was a common experience. I was right! Fridays class was so much fun. We were able to talk and laugh with each other, the chef was wonderful and full of knowledge and HELPFUL. The food was GREAT, everyone who was participating in the class was wonderful and it was truly a great experience. Can't wait to book more! Thank you Heat Culinary for the wonderful experience.

For Valentine's Day my husband booked us a cooking class here. The theme was "Oyster Bar". We had a blast learning how to shuck fresh oysters, and prepare squid salad, grilled oysters and minionette, cioppino, and garlic bread. Afterwards we got to join the other four couples at the dining table where we got to enjoy everything we made. There was even some leftovers to take home. We partook some champagne compliments of the chef. The best part was no dishes to wash! This was a very fun and memorable experience for us as a couple. Highly recommend it for a couples night out as well as a girls night. The best part is my husband learned a few new dishes to make and now brings home fresh oysters to prepare for us. It's the gift that keeps on giving.

My partner and I just took a class at the Santa Barbara branch (vegetarian French cuisine) with Chef Fabio Flagiello and had an amazing time. He was extremely helpful and made what looked like an intimidating set of recipes fun to make. He took the time to give us personalized techniques, and share bits of wisdom on various cooking techniques. But most importantly, he was kind, patient, and welcoming.

Great experience with catering this week. I needed a last-minute option for about 30 people at a business lunch this week and decided to try HEAT. I'm glad I did! Everybody talked about how flavorful the sandwiches were, and the salad really surprised me with its beautiful presentation. Many thanks to the HEAT Culinary team for making this lunch easy for me to host!

We hired Heat Culinary to cater our daughters wedding at the Carousel House in Santa Barbara. Chef Becky did a tasting in our home which was incredible and creatively guided us to the final wedding menu. The food at the wedding was amazing from the passed appetizers to the macarons and berry shortcake for dessert. We received so many compliments on how delicious the food was. Chef Becky made the entire process look so easy and handled the entire event with apparent ease. I would hire Heat again in a heartbeat! Thank you Chef Becky!!

I attended a party catered by them and I highly recommend them. The food is really good and the service is even better.They are very attentive and nice people and they offered to make off-menu items for us to to accommodate our dietary restrictions.I would definitely recommend them and would consider them for any future events.

What an absolutely fantastic place! If you have been looking for a fun and unique activity, look no more. HEAT Culinary is a beautiful, fun and inspiring environment to up your culinary skills. Plus, Nikki and her team of amazing chefs (Becky, Eileen...) have mad skills and are so sweet and accommodating. Also, as a catering company- they are awesome. I had a small professional event at their location and the food and presentation was insane. Seriously. What a community asset. They can do it all! Try it. No really. Do it.

I hired Nikki and her team to cater my birthday event that had 35 people. Not only was she able to accommodate for multiple allergies (gluten, vegan, vegetarian, etc.) she also consistently checked in to make sure everything was going well and to see if people liked the food. Everyone loved the food and mentioned how kind she and her team was - I am so happy we choose them! I would do it again for future events.
