“So there are two different places called the sand trap this review is for the one in cathedral city. This place is my kinda bar it's been here for over 40 years and the wonderful lady who runs it has owned it for 30 years. It's a total hole in the wall but it's my kinda bar and should be considered a local treasure. So when you go there you have to get the grilled shrimp. She makes them spicy or mild (both were kinda spicy but in a pleasant way). The plate will run you about $35 but it's enough for 2 people to share. For drinks it's mainly domestic beers, bottled or canned. No frills great shrimp and great company check it out!“
“Ok… so this place is just fantastic! Epic in every way. My darling and I went there for dinner, and we were so impressed, we went back the next day for lunch. Every dish we had was just wonderful. Beef Dip, Shrimp Poke Bowl, Club Sandwich and a Rueben Sandwich… All Incredible!!!But the most astounding thing is how wonderfully friendly, accommodating, welcoming, and just darn professional, every staff member we met were. Managers… Felicia and Kenneth should be proud of this sincere staff! Ellie and Leslie, were our servers, both excellent. Saul and Fransisco were support staff and deserve a commendation for their truly excellent service, and last but definitely not least was the genuine and sincerely welcoming smile of Daniella in the bar. I am happy to write this review because they made our two visits memorable. We will definitely be back! Thank you Mountain View Grille. You really hit it out of the park! ??️“
“It’s a solid local bar. Did get the feeling we weren’t super welcome when walking in. A bunch of the tables had a reserved plate in them although no one ever showed up so I don’t know why they are out.Lots of TVs. Probably good for games.Wings are solid. Potato skins are solid. Street tacos are solid too.“

“"Ruben's Special" was delicious. Plenty of seafood in the dish and a flavorful broth too.The raw oysters were fresh, tasty, and cleanly presented BUT I did not appreciate having to finish shucking my own oysters with a butter knife. Suggestion: coach the kitchen staff to properly release the aductor muscle from BOTH shells.Atmosphere is pleasant but noisy....in a good way.“
“Located in the Caliente Tropic resort. Same building as the reef but more low key and better lighting. Walk through Gauchos restaurant and arrive at Le Fern. If your lucky you get a seat at the bar and get to talk with Matty. No draft beers but beer offerings are kept cold and provided with chilled glass. We enjoyed Mattys company and listening to his stories about past work lifes. We also ordered calamari which I would pass on next time. Was expecting rings and got calamari in shape of tootsie roll. All in all a very nice time and place to have a beverage or two.“
“Little Bar is a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, that delivers great food and drinks. The owner is a really nice guy and the staff is very friendly as well. My favorite thing to eat there is the cheeseburger with tater tots. Been back a few times, and I plan to do so again soon.“

“This bar is outside the Hyatt Palm Springs. Had lunch there. I had the ceasar salad and the fish tacos and they were delicious. The tacos were flavorful and the ceasar had tons of parmesan and the dressing was homemade. Good atmosphere and right in the center of everything in Palm Springs. Service and staff were very nice too.“
“5 of us were there for lunch on their first day. The outdoor seating and setting was great and the food quality and taste was a nice surprise! What a great addition and now so close to drop in at. We bought one of the frequent dining cards and are looking forward to many more nice meals. So nice to have a nearby place with good food to bring company, especially if they are golfers. Bid I mention the nice BAR. All 5 of us said we would definitely come back. We all ordered different items and our meals were all ones we would order again in the future. The staff was courteous and food came up fairly quickly. PS: They also did a wonderful job with the remodeling, inside and out.“
