There is simply no other place that could offer such tasty pan roast in the east area. Anything similar will be Vegas. However, at a slow Sunday night, the service is mediocre. I understand cost issues, but it is a sit-down restaurant, after all.

The only place I have had Pan Roast is in Las Vegas and it was delicious but let me tell you The Boiler is so much better. In Vegas its always a 2 to 3 hours wait time but at The Boiler you can sit at the bar or grab a table. The employees are friendly and the food makes you happy. My wife and I shared the shrimp scampi and the house pan roast. The flavors in the house pan roast was absolutely amazing! The shrimp scampi was good but too light of a dish for me. There are so many other dishes, I can't wait to try them all. If you're ever in the Chino Hills area you should definitely check this place out. And always remember Thank You For The Food!

Qaint little restaurant with wrap around bar to watch chef make your gumbo or other wonderful looking dish in their kettles. One kettle dish feeds 2 people. Good vibe. Worth a try.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs and inside was spacious enough to get around.

Great flavors of food and friendly staff. Kind of weird that they don’t have oysters or desserts.

The worst service I ever had. I waited 45 minutes with my infant kid and they let the party of 10 go ahead of us who came after us. I hope the owner educate their employee properly. Never coming back here.

This is my second review, 8 years ago I left a 5 star review and will do the same now. I still get the same item, House pan roast with a 9'spice level, HOT. Great place, my only criticism is that Covid protocol is still in full effect so you half The bar was not open due to no glass protections. We really enjoy sitting at the bar but could not as it was limited. Even sushi bars are fully back to normal. I will go back once I know I can sit at the bar again. Please know it's still a 5 star spot for food (excellent for what it is). Enjoy.

I ordered the pan roast and asked for extra crab meat, which cost $6.00 extra per the server. When my food arrived, quite late I realized that there was no crab meat, I mean none. The server insisted that crab is in there but it may be hard to see, blah blah blah. After I insisted the server, after having to wait for the cook to return, spoke to him, he then informed her that he did not have the crab meat (they ran out) and that it was never added. No one mentioned this to me before bringing me my food. My gripe is that if I never noticed, they would not have said anything or removed the extra charge.

Very very slow and bad service!!! We waited 30 minutes to get our appetizer and drinks with very unprofessional server who doesn't even know what we ordered and brought us wrong drinks and wrong orders couple times. And one of the eppetizer even took longer then main dishes so we couldn't even eat that eppetizer, instead we had to pack it for to-go. And the house special pan roast is totally waste of money. The menu says it comes with variety of seafood (like shrimps, crabs, clams, scallops). But we only got two pieces of shirimps and 4-5pieces of small scallops with nothing really special tomato sauces. We can't believe this place running their business like this. We will never ever going back nor recommend this place to anyone. The worst serviced restaurant we ever been!!!

Hands down best cajun food you can get. The chicken gumbo was awesome, I did level 8 (not quite like a habanero pepper) spicy and it had the perfect amount of spice but still flavorful. I finished off with the red velvet cake that they have during dessert rotation and it was awesome.Everything portioned perfectly, the staff is awesome, the food is great, and the niche of steam cooking is awesome.Definitely coming back with more people

I lived in Chino Hills for thirteen years, and The Boiler was my favorite restaurant. Get the House Pan Roast and have them CRANK up the spice level. All of the food is so good there. It is one of, if not THE best restaurant in Chino Hills. The ONLY reason that this is a four star review is that the restaurant closes down between lunch and dinner, and that has affected my ability to eat there several times during the last few years. I live on the east coast now, but The Boiler is one of only a handful of restaurants in the Chino Hills/Chino area that I still miss even though I now live in walking/public transit distance of amazing dining options. I was out there earlier this summer, and I forgot they closed down between lunch and dinner and that day was a highly structured day; I ended up not being able to eat there because I forgot they close down during those hours. That's my ONLY complaint; they close down for a few hours between lunch and dinner, and that closure has impacted my ability to eat there several times during the last seven years. It still remains some of the very best food in Chino Hills!
