Amazingly good BBQ. I had the pulled pork with mild sauce. Great flavor without the sauce. I always taste BBQ without sauce first for the true flavor of the meat. Then also good with the sauce. If I was local, I would be eating it regularly.

Was looking forward to trying this at the PB Farmers Market today but was completely disappointed - underwhelming at best. My husband is a bbq addict and so I said wait til this afternoon and we can go try this place. The brisket is like it was made days ago and sliced up and warmed today for serving. So dry and the color is unbelievable like a weird gray and it was cut with the grain so it's incredibly tough. The macaroni and cheese was overcooked and very watery - odd. The beans not sure if these claim to be homemade but the sides were edible unlike the meat. The bbq sauce has a weird overpowering liquid smoke flavor. A bun on the side $1 and it's a generic hamburger bun which would be fine if the sauce was good. I'm sad. Sad that people think this is good bbq. Sad that this restaurant put out this quality of food. Sad that we spent $25 for this compared to other options there but we are watching money so hope that this can serve as valuable feedback to the business and also buyer beware to those debating trying this product.

Thank you for catering our event today. The food, especially the brisket, was amazing.

Best tri tip in San Diego! Tender and juicy! Perfect combination of beef and smoke flavor! Great customer service! Thank you for always being friendly

Brisket was juicy and well flavored and coleslaw was great too. I was very satisfied with the whole meal, will definitely be back.

Not impressed meat tasted like lighter fluid and charcoal on this brisket/fry concoction. Fries were comparable to a popeyes biscuit. Tried to add chickfila bbq sauce to revive the moisture in the dish, it was to no avail.

Phenomenal BBQ!! I came across them when I was working in Encinitas. They were part of a Farmer's Market. They are legit!! Family owned and what a wonderful and amazing family! Hard working, friendly, and they make awesome BBQ! The meats are juicy, tender and full of flavor. Bought some extra to take home to the wife and she said it was soooo good! The meat had a great smokey flavor without being over powerful. Next time, I'll try their ribs and chicken. Can't break away from their tri-tip, brisket and hot link, though. I was told by a wonderful lady, my name will never be forgotten as I have the same name as her husband!....lol. Thank you for that awesome BBQ!! See ya soon....

Fantastic Tri tip and brisket! Smoke flavor, seasoning of the meat on point and slow cooked to perfection! Bbq sauces were really good as well. Thank you!

Was hungry and drove by the Linda Vista Farmers market earlier. Saw a BBQ pit and thought, yum! Let's try it out. Went over and ordered their 1 meat , 1 side meal. I got brisket and coleslaw. Got my food and went to sit on the side to eat it. Opened it up and saw bits and pieces of dry burnt meat. This is no brisket I have seen. Ate it and man, I was so disappointed. It was super dry and salty. The burnt taste coated my whole mouth. Tried the slaw and it was ok. The sauce was very good. This would have been a great meal if the brisket didn't look like it was smoked 2 days ago and let sit the whole time. I thought this was how they made their brisket until I Yelp them and saw their brisket. Their brisket is a whole piece and looks good and juicy. I have a feeling I got played.

They have flavorful brisket and tri-tip. There is a pink smoke ring around the brisket and tri-tip. This is not surprising. They had a smoker with them so they are really smoking the meat. Also, tried their sausage. The sausage was a little small but overall good flavors. The smoke bean is good too. I would order the same you again.

We live across the street from Lane Field and plan our Sunday meal when we know that A&O are going to be there. My husband who is from the south and is picky about his ribs, gets a half a rack, and I get their turkey leg with Mac and Cheese and slaw. We get 2-3 meals out of our orders. The food is wonderful and the A&O family is as well.

I moved from Austin Texas and this sets the bar sky high for other places in the Encinitas/ San Diego area!!!This place is the Truth!! The Owner/ Operator/ Pitmaster is originally from Dallas, Texas. Ordered a Brisket sandwich and the double barrel Texas fries. The hot bbq sauce had some amazing heat and flavor - just the right balance.I believe it is family run which is awesome.Thank you Oak and Anchor!

I caught this place at a pop up station at a food festival across the street from the pier. They had a tent set up with the grill smoking behind it. This is a veteran owned and family run business. They had some excellent service. They were so helpful, friendly and courteous. The have all of your "Q" favorites. I ended up ordering the ribs and tri-tip, with a side of baked beans. It took them about 10 minutes to get my food ready. I took it over to the chairs across the street on the pier to eat. It was absolutely delicious. The tri-tip was amazing, and the ribs were huge and the meat feel right off of the bone. The beans were very tasty too. The group that I was eating with, that decided to get their lunch from another spot, were so jealous. I am glad that I was able to taste this restaurant's food and they brought their store to me. They have first class service, and quality food. I highly recommend checking them out where ever you can find them, be it at their actual restaurant or their mobile pop-up spot, like I was able to.
