This place is a solid four. Everything we ordered was good but not great. The gyoza are on par. The spicy tuna roll was also despite there being a hair in my first bite. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen and also the vegan black miso Ramen. The Tonkotsu was flavorful with an okay amount of toppings. The broth was semi-rich and had a good flavor but not amazing. Recommendation of my gf's son we tried Okama. And I've returned several times again. The waiter knows what I like, "Hot sake!" I like the shrimp tempura for starters, I get the tri-color sushi and an additional roll that comes sliced. My friends, who aren't into sushi have had the ramens (actually Ramen is in their name), shio chicken and shoyu chicken for my gf, a beef ramen for a friend. I'll usually have two orders of hot sake. Okama is simple and clean, and it is good.
Absolutely amazing food, i’ve loved everything I tried but out of everything the chicken habachi is my favorite. The food food is so flavorful and each bite is just a piece of bliss by far my favorite spot in Chula Vista.
