“Every time I come here I'm treated like family. Very friendly people here, and the service is always good. I have never had any reason to complain. The employees are all really great people, I do actually consider all of them a legitimate friend. I highly recommend the Baja wrap with the "secret sauce" too. But be ye warned, it's a massive serving so you might take half home with ya or share it with a friend. You definitely get your money's worth in food, that's for sure. Also the quesadillas and the grilled cheese are also great go-to snacks to accompany a beer at the bar. This place is basically my daily watering hole. The grilled octopus was perfectly cooked and comes with a delicious salad. One of the best octopus plates I’ve had. The steamed clam + mussels were also delicious- it actually reminded me of one of my favorite meals I had on a visit to Portugal. Fish n’chips were also very good.Ceviche was meh. Very nice, friendly and helpful crew Jasmine, Jennifer and Chris. We sat down and ordered a few drinks. My friend ordered some beer/IPA and I ordered Spicy Margarita (Serrano infused real del valle, triple sec, house made margarita mix, black charcoal salted rum). It was soooo delicious! I had to go for seconds , it is a spicy drink. I usually don't order spicy drink but this drink blew my mind; it was quite tasty. We also ordered some burgers. I ordered the black & blue burger: it was blackened seasoned beef patty, topped with blue cheese crumbles & buffalo sauce. On the side it had lettuce, tomatoes, onion and pickles. My friend ordered the burger of the month which was the "Pastramarami" which had beef patty, provolone cheese, sauerkraut and brown mustard. Both were cooked medium and burger meals came with a side of fries. We both liked our burgers. It was very fresh, the ingredients and fries were cooked perfectly. Burgers had lots of flavors. The Pattie's are from the Perennial Pastures ranch in North county and grass fed. The fries are insane, crispy, flavorful and compliments the burgers. The decor is like a movie set and the crowd is young and fun and eclectic. You will not find better ambiance anywhere. The host Christine took fabulous care of us and even let me borrow her torch - not something every lounge will do. They serve a nice selection of beer/wine and are open till Midnight. “I'm a regular visitor, live in the neighborhood. There's something about this brewing, it has its own charm. They have sour and regular beers. Two separate warehouses. I prefer regular and there are lots to choose from. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday they have food track till 8 pm and live music on weekends. The atmosphere and people are very nice here. It feels like a family:). I recommend visiting this place on the weekend evening.“

“I attended a wonderful birthday dinner at the Parado.The outside patio was the perfect setting for our group of four.Our waiter Beto gave us excellent service. He was very knowledgeable about the menu items and gave us specific details about the ingredients. The beet salad on a bed of arugula was fresh and well presented. My sea bass was cooked to perfection, moist with a nice sear on top.The German chocolate cake and coffee topped off an enjoyable meal.The excellent service and courtesy from the Parado emplyees really set the bar high.“

“Dying for a beer? Black Plague is a great spot for a beer and a bite with a spooky theme. This North Park location is a taproom for Black Plague, a brewery with their main location in Oceanside. It's a bit cozy, but it has distinctive Plague Doctor theme, and other spooky stuff to help it stand out from your "normal" brewery. We tried a pretty large portion of the beer menu, and everything was good. None of the beer truly stood out as different or special, but not every brewery needs to experiment with new things. We got some food that was easy to share with the group, cheese curds (Curds of Doom) and poutine (Molten Mayhem). It's appropriate bar food for the location. PROPS: Unique theme that extends from how the location is decorated, to the names of every item. This is a great place for pictures. SLOPS: While everything we ate and drank was good, nothing stood out as great. It feels like they're playing it safe with the menu.“
