“I just went here to have breakfast with my husband and the food and service was amazing. I had the red chilaquiles with a side of sliced avocado and scrambled eggs. Everything was so fresh and scrumptious, almost like having homemade breakfast made by my abuelita. I also liked that they weren't spicy but still super flavorful ( Mexican allergic to spicy food right here!) My husband on the other hand loves everything spicy, he ordered the mole chilaquiles, very spicy, and he loved it ! Our waiter was awesome and very attentive. We'll return soon!“

“The menu isnt extensive but has classic pasta and starter dishes. We started with the classica bruscetta and buschetta prosciutto & fichi, and the classica bruschetta was my favorite. The freshness of the tomatoes and flavor of the pesto was impeccable. We tried the cheese wheel pasta that comes with special pasta of the day (gnocchi with mushrooms and truffle) tossed in a cheese wheel and served in a pan. It was on the heavier, creamier and cheesier side and i would recommend it for those who are looking for a ooey gooey dish of pasta. Our server recommended the stuffed lobster and shrimp tortelli pasta. The sauce is creamy (but not as creamy as the cheese wheel pasta) and is made with tomatoes. The dish is topped with a big ball of burrata. We tried the espresso martini and cosmopolitan. The espresso martini had more of a strong coffee than bold liquor flavor, but the cosmopolitan was a little sweet and boozy. Overall, it was a solid meal and be prepared for a food coma afterwards. The interior is beautiful with wine bottles, paintings and pictures hanging on the wall. Street parking is the way to go. Our server was friendly, and the portions are generous for its price point.“

“Definitely make a reservation. Totally hip place. Great service. Food is OK. Sadly, the swordfish was not tasty at all. In fact, it was very watery. Definitely not five star tries to be a little too Fancy and a little too much seasoning. And a whole lot of smoky of everything. Cocktails are incredible. Bartender was so good. Decor is just basic. But it’s a very busy place with a really nice little patio out front.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly based on menu and Quaintance of the restaurant maybe at lunchtime it is but not for dinner“

“I ordered it online and they were quick to complete my order. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and kids chicken quesadilla. The food was great. In regards to the pizza, the crust was thin just like I like it. The sauce was flavorful, and there was enough pepperoni on it. That's for the quesadillas. There were three Chicken quesadillas. I asked for only Monterey Jack cheese on it because they put both of them according to what I read, and they followed the instructions completely. I appreciate that because my great niece does not like the orange cheese as she calls it lol.“

“During a recent business trip, I stumbled upon Brigantine while searching for nearby dining options. Situated conveniently close to my hotel, I was intrigued by the menu offerings. What started as a casual dinner plan turned into a delightful two-night dining experience. On the first night, I savored the grilled swordfish tacos, which were nothing short of fantastic. The fish was impeccably cooked and harmonized beautifully with the fresh ingredients and flavorful sauce in the taco.Returning the following evening, I indulged in the miso glazed grilled salmon, resting on a bed of sautéed veggies and puréed cauliflower. Each bite was simply sublime--I even contemplated seconds! Both dishes were presented with an artistic flair, matching the delightful service provided by the staff. The restaurant boasts a charming patio, complete with heaters that added warmth to both body and soul. Brigantine in Imperial Beach is undoubtedly a gem of an establishment. I left eagerly anticipating my next visit, eager to explore more of their enticing menu offerings. “After dining at Buona Forchetta, I can't imagine enjoying pizza and pasta anywhere else in San Diego. From the moment you step in, the warm and friendly staff make you feel like you're family. They're sociable, upbeat, and ready to make your meal a memorable one. Our dinner began with two different wines. I'm a wine enthusiast, and I didn't snap any photos or recall their names, but rest assured, their wine recommendations are spot-on. The Regina Margherita pizza was a revelation. With its incredibly flavorful thin crust and the heavenly sauce, it was a pizza-lover's dream come true. The Spaghetti in Due Pomodori was, hands down, the best pasta dish I've tasted in California. With a simple yet tantalizing blend of organic tomatoes, garlic, and basil, it was sheer perfection. The nightly special, Pollo Milanese, was another hit. The chicken was tender, brimming with flavor, and cooked to perfection. And then came the desserts. We indulged in every option on the menu, and each one was a delight. We didn't leave a crumb behind. I highly encourage you to channel your inner foodie and savor each one, just like we did!“

It was a good portion and the meat was SO tender and delicious!Tonkotsu ramen: (5/5) The noodles were cooked perfectly, pork was tender and flavorful, the soft boiled egg is always my favorite part, and the broth is delicious, I could just drink bowls of it. It's not super heavy and has so much flavor.Beef gyoza: (4/5) These were tasty, but there was not as much filling/meat inside as we like.Short rib bao: (3.5/5) The meat was very tender, but the coleslaw and spicy mustard didn't mesh well together in my opinion. I ate the meat, pickle, and bun and it was delicious. It comes with 2 buns, so plenty to share!“
