Cute spot. Service was fast and friendly. Food was really good. Loved the spicy shishito peppers, pork belly yakitori and filet mignon yakitori. Also ordered What the Hell roll and Surprise Me roll, it wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be but it was still good. Yum!
My wife and I had a very good time eating at Rakitori! We got the Miso soup with pork belly, and it most definitely hit the spot! Normally, I don't like to buy any appetizers or starters because the price point tends to be a little much for what you get. However, I can't recommend enough the spicy garlic edamame. Our server Abraham gave us such great recommendations and made sure we were well take care of!

Great ambience, small and quaint. Right on the edge of Hillcrest. The host met us immediately and was super friendly. No wait for a party of 3 on a Saturday afternoon. For starters we got some plum hot Sake which was amazing and Gyoza and Sweet corn. Both hit the spot. For entrees we had Spicy Tonkatsu, Pork Tonkatsu and Kimchee Tonkatsu. All were good with lots of flavor. I liked this place. Not sure if I'd make a special trip...but of your in the area this place is great!
