It had big cubes of soft Pakistani cheese in a tomato based cream sauce with finely chopped ginger. Fabulous. We also enjoyed a grilled eggplant with a Persian yogurt cultured from sheep and goat milks. The butter chicken was exceptional: he grills his chicken, chops it, then adds the juicy chunks of meat into his delectable sauce. His ground beef kabob was juicy and tender. I enjoyed an inhouse, freshly made mango lassi. Wow! We have enough leftover to enjoy a shared lunch tomorrow.”

Our second time around he got the pesto crepe with fries, and I got the Mediterranean crepe with salad. We both agreed that my crepe was better, despite our love of pesto, but both were good. The fries and salad hit the spot as well, mostly because their ranch dressing is fantastic. Prices were definitely reasonable. I look forward to trying other things on the menu. First of all, the banana nut muffin is absolutely delicious. It's the perfect blend of flavors and is moist and fluffy. I would go back just for this muffin alone! But there's so much more to try at Greenhouse Cafe. The menu is full of amazing options, from breakfast items like avocado toast and breakfast sandwiches to salads, sandwiches, and more. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. Beyond the food, I was blown away by the generosity of the owner. I learned that the owner donated a lot of muffins to United Sikhs organization to help feed the homeless. This kind of kindness and generosity is truly admirable, and it only makes me want to support Greenhouse Cafe even more. Overall, if you're looking for a new go-to cafe in Citrus Heights, Greenhouse Cafe is definitely worth checking out. Great food, great service, and a great owner who cares about giving back to the community. I can't wait to go back and try more items on the menu!”

“The owner Stevie is AMAZING! We came in with a big party of 6 adults and 6 kids (all under the age of 5) around 8pm. We were looking for a last minute place to host our friends who were visiting us and Stevie truly went above and beyond my expectations! She made sure the adults were taken care of, as well as our kids. She and her dad were very attentive the whole night, even though there was another big party at the same time. She even made sure we knew about their kids section, which has bar stools and a counter full of coloring books, puzzles, books, magazines, playing cards, etc. Our kids were getting restless being at the restaurant, but she took time to talk with them, and entertain them with stickers and knick knacks. She even let them take a toy home! She was just the sweetest. It's hard to find a place that accommodates kids, and would never expect any establishment to bend over backwards just because have kids. But she was just so welcoming to us all. We will definitely be coming back!”

Not a long wait at all, he showed me the salsa bar and I got myself a bunch! The avocado salsa was my favorite forsure. I left very satisfied with customer service, we picked a nice spot in town to eat and it was still so hot and fresh. I got the carne asada tacos, put the beans he gave us on them with avocado salsa… WOW! My husband got the carnitas burrito with a bunch of fixings in it, the burrito was HUGE just how he loves it. He couldn’t stop complimenting how great it was every bite!

I had to eat it with a fork and knife! I also ordered spicy and I got a sweet green sauce/salsa. The food was alright, and would be alright if it wasnt for the miscellaneous bay leaf in my food the first bite. If I know anything about cooking, you take bay leaves out of whatever youre cooking once the food is finished!

I would ask for a remake or a refund but I ordered it on DoorDash and I ate it anyways so I doubt anybody over there would be so kind.

It was truly unfortunate for this to happen, I am not normally picky about my food, but this was a mess.

I was way wrong. My wife and I met Mo, he told us about the brisket special. It sounded too good. We ordered that and split the spicy chicken sandwich with a side of mac and cheese.

Everything was delicious. Even my espresso martini. Usually people put way too much alcohol in it. This one was perfect.

Even the bathrooms are clean as heck.

They were so amazing, left them a $20 tip. My wife and I are already planning coming here next time we are in the area.”

“04/15/2023; 7:10 PM unfortunate experience… I came in to pick up my “to go” order. I stated I was there to get my order, I was asked my last name. I gave my last name, and staff member behind the kitchen counter area picked up my bag, looked in the bag, and said, “I will get you a cup for your tea.” Then, the manager behind the Counter abruptly inserted herself into the conversation by saying, “She said the cup is in the bag!” I said that isn’t what I heard. At this time the staff member handed me the cup. The manager was dismissive and made yet another unnecessary comment as if to make herself relevant. (Not sure why she felt so needy) I walked away and said perhaps a Google review is in order, and she said, “Oh, that’s not necessary, and said “have a nice day” in the most disingenuous tone. While all this was transpiring, she was giggling behind the counter with co-workers like a Junior high school girl. I found the laughter to be rude, and clear that my business was both unappreciated and minimized. This experience was definitely an exception from my typical good experiences. Not sure if it was a slow night and she needed to feel involved in a simple transaction. She should FOCUS on her people skills.”
